Started with Tekken 2, played Tekken 1 a little while after, played every main game + TTT2 since. King has been my main since they changed Yoshimitsu in Tekken 5, I know that King has been two different people over the course of the series, I sub-main Lei Wulong, if only for my love of Jackie Chan.
I also know that Paul used to be a serious character, and Marshal Law had facial hair so you could tell the difference between him and his son.
Eddie and Christie used to speak English, so did Miguel. I happen to like Lars, and I miss old Heihachi. o wo

I could go on.
And I'm pretty sure Tekken 2 was on the PS1.

Ah. I just remember playing mine on the PS2. I do have a PS1 though. I always thought yoshimitsu was special because he had a sword. Don't really know why I really liked Kunimitsu so much though, musta been the outfit. I have a pure hatred for Marshall Law from his cartwheel kicks. aggrevated me with all those cartwheel kicks. I liked Paul's hairdo, so he was okay with me

my childhood experience could be summed with fighting games and mario party, with me not branching out until 7 years ago when I got Dark Cloud 2.

Never played as Kunimitsu back in the day. Fell in love with her playstyle in TTT2 because she reminded me somewhat of the old Yoshimitsu.

the older you go, the more Kunimitsu is a copy of Yoshimitsu.
Tekken 2 had her almost similar
TTT2 had her different then yoshimitsu. except for a few differences. She has evolved alot.

She's still closer to the old Yoshimitsu than the current one is.

Rednal, you don't play a lot of fighting games so I don't expect you to understand. Fighting games in a series become different by adding new characters, not by changing old ones that already have a perfectly good moveset.

Besides, they had no real reason to change Yoshimitsu's moveset in the first place.

Stick, Tekken 1 came out on arcade in 1994. so it is almost 2 decades old
