If you want someone else to answer the question, you'll have to answer a few of mine.
A) How can someone be half ghost?
B) How does something dead reproduce?
C) How do 1 1/2 dead things reproduce
D) Ghost isn't really a race, it's a state of being, so would the ghost really influence anything?
E) Are we talking of vampires as a race or vampirism as a disease or curse or similar effect?

Since my usual source of a dictionary isn't helping me on that one, what are you defining a phantom as?
So far I have: the child would most definitely be half vampire.

i think the answer to your origional question would be, half human, half vampire, eg 50/50, with eather:
A.) the ability to become eathrial (ghost form)
B.) passivly a ghost (ability or other)
C.) the ability to wal through things.


and yes there is a slight differance to 'walking through things (ghost)' and 'becomeing/being eathrial'

Eathrial:
1.) can work as a state of invincibility, preventing you from being harmed or causing harm, and you retain your physical form preventing you from walking through objects while in this state as well as normal, you are also a white colourd silouet and are transparent.

2.) the same as above but with out the sence of invincibility where as you donot retain your physical form thus allowing you to move through solid matter as well as being able to harm others, you can not be harmed, you take on the same physical apperance as the above.

Ghost:
well you know how that is, as it can vary from being phantom like to the undead side of this...

And I was under the impression that vampires had no souls, thus they couldn't be ghosts or any such.

Look, at this point, why are you asking questions about your characters? They're yours, do what you want with them, as long as it's not god moding or mind bogglingly stupid, like a cross between a treant and a fire elemental or summat.
