Aislin took a very deep breath, and placed her hand on his, holding it tightly, her fear rising, at that thought. She took another deep breath through her mouth puffing up her cheeks and gave one curt nod.

Gab continued to pay attention, trying to mimic the shape of the figure, on Garoth's nose scales.

Garoth watch the dragon mimic the shapes, which were close to perfect, as they were when a mental transfer like this occured. Garoth continued for five more letters, then stopped. ~Thats enough for now.~ Garoth sent to Gab. much more right now might hurt the littler dragon.

Nikoli closes his eyes and takes a deep breath as they both drop through the shadow of the boulder. Immediately, Nikoli points them in a direction, and the ethereal tide picks them up and carries them like a river's current toward the fortress' outer wall. Lungs burning, Nikoli redirects the current upwards, and they emerge in the shadow of the wall, convinced that no one had spotted them.
"Sorry if that took awhile- but it's better than getting compromised."

Aislin doubled over, panting for air. Her hand still held to his, and shook. It had been far too long since the last time she'd had to make a deep dive, and her lung capacity wasn't what it used to be. She tried to laugh a little, "Yeah... Better..."

Gab curled into a loose ball on the older dragon's nose, looking at the six lightly carved letters in his nose. "A... B... C... D... E... and F... What can I spell with that?"

Garoth shrugged. ~Many words, such as dad, or... bad... many words...~

Gab tilted his head to the side, "Can I spell Aislin?"

~Not yet. you need several other letters for that.~ Garoth sent to the smaller dragon.

Nikoli keeps his grip on her hand, lest she fall over. "You okay?"

Gab pouted, and curled himself a little tighter, "What now?"

Aislin shook, "I wasn't... I wasn't expecting it to be... like that..."

~now we rest. if i try more now, your mind may not take it... and i am tired.~ Garoth said, closing his eyes.

Gab stayed were he was. Aislin had told him to wait with the older dragon, and it was nice and warm this close to the fire breathing dragon's mouth. He wasn't tired but he closed his eyes and was soon asleep.

Nikoli pats her back. "Yeah, I'm sorry about that. But air is only on the corporeal plane. If you're going to explore extraplanar worlds, you have to understand that not everything you take for granted will be there. There's air in Hades, though. Not that I'm going to take you there."

Aislin nodded, trying to stand up straight again, a hand over her throat, "I appreciate that..." She swallowed, "We should get going..."

From down the hallway, quiet yet sharp clicking sounds could be heard. Someone, most likely a woman, was approaching Aislin and Nikoli. Well, she didn't know intruders were there, so she was basically walking there to get to one of the labs.

Nikoli stood stock still near the mouth of the hallway, letting the shadows work their magic. He slows his breathing as he becomes completely invisible.
