"And where are they now?"

"Dead." Caius said bluntly. "About two years ago, got killed in one of Recht's raids..."  

[Zahzi]

"Ah." Omazige said, nodding his head.
"And how about your parents? They raise you?"  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"Yup. Nothing like how you raise her either." Caius sighed, as Hael was beginning to work on her fifth helping.  

[Zahzi]

"Yeah, I was raised by the tavernmaster at my village when he wasn't busy serving drinks."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"So pretty much never...?"  

[Zahzi]

"Exactly." Omazige said with a dull stare.
"And whenever he was around, he was distracted with whatever had happened from the shift before."

"I'd say that's worse than what I had..." Hael said with a mouthful of food.  

[Zahzi]

"Oh, he was a kind person to be sure, it was just that you have to take into account that people wanted to get piss-drunk all hours of the day..."

"Well my parents at least paid some amount of attention to me... Bad attention, but attention..."  

[Zahzi]

"Anyway..." Omazige said, taking another serving of the food.

"It's not like I'm giving her everything..."  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"You've given her everything she's asked for since she's been here..."  

[Zahzi]

"You're just not going to shut up about the animals, are you?" Omazige asked, giving him a dull stare.  

[Randomly Gone Insane]

"I can understand your devil puppy, but a Wyvern...?"
