((Yay. ^^))
Katara noticed the two familiar guards standing outside a room, each at the side of a closed door. So that's where Sokka was... now all she had to do was figure out how to save him... She looked around nervously, noticing some steam coming out of a nearby room. Steam meant water... she quietly crept towards said room and peaced in, overjoyed to see an ungarded kettle of tea sitting on the floor. She tiptoed into the room, thinking she could bend the hot tea as a way to fight the guards, so nervously reached her hand down and picked it up.

((Neh. Akila is stifled... I don't have much control right now... *twitches eyebrow realizing she's even more of a control freak than she thought*
Buut here goes nothing.))
Iroh had gone to get some different flavors of tea. Holding the colorful packets in his hand he could already taste the warm liquid going down his throat. Of course, he had left his tea in the very room that Katara had so ignorantly wandered into. Merrily, the older man's eyes were closed as he indulged himself in a soft, upbeat hum as he pranced into the room.

((I'm kind of the same way right now... ^^;; I'm tired but I can't get myself to get offline.))
Hearing the humming, Katara's eyes widened as she turned, still half bent-over holding the kettle, and faced Iroh, looking like a deer caught in the headlights.

((^_^;; Yea, I've been staying up until like 2 am lately on the stupid computer. I think I nearly passed out the other night...))
Iroh had yet to open his eyes, as he was worried it would disrupt the lovely song that currently possessed him. Instead he reached down for where he distinctly remembered placing his kettle. When he pulled his arm up empty handed, he let out a confused, "Huh?" that broke his song.
That's when his eyes met with scared blue ones. "You are surely not trying to steal my tea, now are you?"

((Yeah, I've been staying up just as late... either on the computer or with video games. ^^;; ))
"U-um..." Katara didn't know how to respond. She had never seen this man before, yet he seemed... kinder than the other Firebenders somehow... "W-well you guys stole my brother and me first...!" she finally stuttered out in a slightly panicked and slightly whining voice, as if this was some great response. She took a nervous step back, realizing she virtually had no experience using Waterbending to fight.

((I shouldn't do that while I'm sick though... my voice is manly yet, my nose is just running everywhere... I feel like a god damn waterfall...))
The old man scratched his beard thoughtfully, "That is besides the point. Tea is meant to be shared, not stolen. Stealing tea is perhaps one of the worse crimes one can commit. Now, if you'd like some, you ought to ask me nicely and I just may give you a sip or two." The edges of his lips turned upward into a kindheared smile.
((... do you know when they are gonna play new avatar episodes?!))

((Meh, I did it when I was sick and I'm okay... actually, I'm still a bit sick, but it's mostly gone. ^^;; *hugs* Get well soon! D: ))
Katara looked taken aback by how kind this man was acting, "Th-that's very kind of you..." she said nervously, then looked down guiltilly, placing the kettle back onto the floor, "But... I wasn't going to drink the tea... I was stealing it to help my brother escape from the guards so we could leave the ship together..." she sighed. For some reason, she just couldn't be dishonest with this man, and she now felt guilty for trying to do something that she earlier felt she had every right to do.
((No. D: I've been asking Karma to keep up with it for me because she watches Nick, but I haven't heard anything yet...))

"Oh, I see. That is very serious then." He jutted out his lip a bit, raised an eyebrow in what appeared to be deep thought, before coming to a conclusion. His eyes twinkled a bit as he walked over to his shelf to grab two tea cups, "All war and fighting aside, tea doesn't belong to one nation. It is a substance that all people should be given the right to. If you'd like a cup, by all means take one, however I accept my fine china to be in mint condition when you are done." He handed Katara a small brown cup and a packet of herbs for tea. "Once you have finished we will be enemies again, and I won't be able to help you. I'll leave my door open so you can put my teacup back. Just don't let me see you." Iroh gave a wrinkled wink as he poured some hot water into her cup.
((Oh okay. I hear the episodes are all over Youtube. *pout* I hate how that happens.))

Katara looked at Iroh in surprise, "You... you mean I can just do whatever I wish with the tea, as long as I return the cup...?" she blinked a few times. Was this old man senile...?

((Uh... I guess... O__O; I don't feel smart enough to do it is all. My vocabulary is so damn limited... -.-))
"Now, it isn't my business what you do with the tea. I should hope that it shall be drank; that is how it most enjoyed. However, with times of war come desperate measures. Food is gone to waste, people are pitted against one another and tea is thrown out for more resourceful uses when necessary." He took a spot on the floor, pouring a cup of tea for himself. "That's a special flavor traded from the Earth kingdom. Keep it close, it may come in handy one day. Exactly what you do with the water is no concern to me, I just want my china back." He smiled and closed his eyes, allowing the warmth of the steam to slip into his lungs.

Katara bit her lip, "You... are a very wise and kind man..." she smiled lightly, "I never would've expected that from someone from the Fire Nation..." she slipped the tea bag into one of her pockets, "Thank you. I will be sure to get the cup back to you." she picked the cup of hot water up and bowed.

Iroh bowed his head as well. "You'll be wise not to judge a person based on his nation. Friends can come from the most unexpected of places; just like tea."

Katara smiled lightly, "Yeah... I guess you're right..." she bowed again, "Thank you once again..." she said before leaving the room. She looked around the corridor again, seeing the guards were still there. She snuck up to the two, carefully bending some hot water out of the cup into Miu's face.
"Agh...!" he shrieked in pain, trying to wipe the hot water off his face.

"Katara!" Sokka piped, bursting the restroom door open, and running headfirst into one of the guards. "Disarm the men and give me one of their weapons!"

Katara hurriedly (though gently) placed down the half-full tea cup, running up to Miu and grabbing his spear while he was distracted. She tossed it at Sokka, hoping he would catch it, then quickly bended some more tea at the guard Sokka was up against.
