Who owns the weapon: Jono Akako
Where it was found/Who made it: Jono found it in the desert at the altar of an abandoned shrine.
The Range of the weapon: Standard katana length.
Weakness: Susceptible to smaller nicks that will decrease it's overall quality as well as damaging it's structure. The sheath is easily destroyable and if not kept up to can cause splinters. If the sword looses its source of chakra, such as falling out of the users hand, it will loose its great ability to keep its structure together and is therefore highly likely to being destroyed. Just as well, the weapon is practically non-lethal.
Description: Found at the altar of a shrine in the middle of a desert, one of the more ancient Suna priests had originally designated it to defend the shrine from enemies. Eventually, it became lost within time and sand as people began migrating from the smaller makeshift towns to Sunagakure, leaving the blade to be forgotten. It was forged to be a peacekeeper by crafting a wooden sword, one that would not be able to harm others, but everytime it was put to the test, it would always shatter. One of the newer craftsmen decided to try a special style where the sword was made by splitting along the grain as well as giving it a small steel center for weight and support. This was the first one that had passed the initial tests where the Suna priest in the area had blessed it, engraving a seal into the hilt. This seal is the true key to the sword's strength as it allows the sword to be able to maintain its form even under extreme conditions and forces, meaning it can take a high amount of stress. However, the seal will only work if and when chakra is applied to it, meaning that it usually has to be in someone's possession. This is the swords first notable ability. The second is for whenever the sword is to shatter or break. Applying chakra to the seal, the sword will form back to its original composition, repairing all the wood as if it were as good as new, but the amount of chakra required is usually of a high Genin-level jutsu. Its third and final ability is that the sword's surface was made to interact easily with sand. This means that if one were to do a low to high slash in the desert, sand would fly up along with the attack, and if one expresses enough chakra, can send a small wave of sand towards whatever they want that has the strength of an average Chuunin's punch. Just as well, one's Suna no Yoroi (Sand Armour), is allowed to be extended onto the sword, allowing for increased strength and the ability to use sand on a weapon to create a high amount of friction for tearing flesh. With the sword itself, when in pristine condition, the wood is often kept to a nearly sharp edge, but will not leave splinters in the enemy's skin. A sheath is often accompanied with the sword simply to keep up appearances, but the sheath is a simply made one and has no special capabilities, meaning that it is easy to shatter.
