Mayloo was certainly feeling protective over Vence as Sphinx invited herself once more. "N-no, we know the Inn better then you may so we'll be in and then right back out." She smiled fakely and turned Vence around before trying to pull him towards the door with haste.

Her eyes narrowed and she began trying to pursue "Oh no no no, your not leaving me again" But unluckily for her, the breakfast crowd was streaming out of the door and back into the streets which, was pretty much pushing her back. In irritation, she growled and clenched her teeth in a wicked smirk. Someone suddenly began knocking everyone out of the way, uncontrollable on their own actions. It was fun munipulating people. She only wanted to get in, no crime in that.

((Later?! Dang...lol))

Mayloo didn't have to pull him towards the door with much effort,; he was already in synch with her, getting into the inn before Sphinx could follow.

"Good thing we don't need a map," Vence said, taking one look around the room before knowing exactly where he was going. Luckily enough, he had studied floorplans before, if briefly. The structure of an inn, no matter how different it's interior may look, was largely the same. So naturally, he would know where a back door was located.

"Next to the stairs, there's a door that goes into a storage room, directly across should be a door into a back alley, We go through there and it should take us halfway through the city," Vence explained, taking her hand. His turn to pull someone along, since she had done so to him at least three times.

~~~
Zevach sat in the corner of the room, amused as he watched the two young children made their way across the room. Headed for a back door? Whatever. He wasn't here for them, He was here for...her. The one coming through the entrance now. If she was attempting to follow those two, she was too late.
Smiling to himself, he stood up, casually walking over as if not noticing her, when in fact he was paying all his attention to her. She was a strange one, no doubt, but she had gained his favor; something that was very hard to do, under normal circumstances
She smiled at him, now glad that the girl had been left behind once more. "She's persistant it seems, but she always manages to get tricked" Standing for a moment there to listen to Vence carefully, Mayloo simply nodded about to follow his words. Instead he took her hand and began tagging her along which, made her blush realizing he was doing it, not her.
Silently following with the pink tint, she wasn't sure what to think, except that they were freed again from the annoyance of an elf. Were they all this bad?
Suddenly she began laughing. "Should I consider this escort or transport? Cause if not, I'll just have to jump on your back now." Of course she was joking, but Vence had made a funny coment earlier that she wasn't able to enjoy.
Sphinx turned, watching as the odd man approuched. Sure he might've looked normal in the garbs he wore, but by the evil glint within his eyes, she could tell otherwise.
"What do you want? Can't you see I'm trying to trail some lovesick brats?" Then again, if this man was of a dark aura, he could prehaps help her. Suddenly she turned to face him while wearing a smirk. "I'm Sphinx, nice to meet you stranger"
"Heh, so you noticed me. Not all that often one can. Very astute," Zevach commented, returning her smirk with his own as he leaned against the wall. Sphinx. A strange name, especially for an elf, but that's not something he was concerned with.
"Unfortunately, I have not the luxury nor the time to give you the honor of my name. I'm sure you've heard of it all the same anyway. I've not come here to have small talk, though, I came here for more important matters. Care to know?" he asked Sphinx, motioning to one of the tables. "Don't worry about those two, you can catch up with them soon enough."
~~~

"Eh, I would call this escort, though I don't doubt you'd have your fun weighing me down, wouldn't you?" Vence said, grinning as they made their way onto the back street. It was overal quiet, with only a buzz that indicated life on the other side of the buildings that lined together. The road was dirt, rather than the main street's stone, and condition's didn't look all that great.

"Unless you don't mind your feet getting dirty, I could make arrangements for transportation, though," Vence added.

"Why thank you" She said as if superior. This man wasn't anyone she exactly wanted to fake sweetness with even if, he did just offer some sort of information. All except for his name which he said was common. Who knows, she'll figure it out later

Sphinx looked at his gesture, and for a moment didn't move. "Fine" She approuch the indicated table and sat down with her arms crossed. "Now what is it exactly the seems so important?"

"I wouldn't really" She giggled and hung her arms over his shoulders from behind as if about to jump onto his back. It was a good thing he was taller.

Mayloo looked back and forth to observe the back street. It definantly wasn't all glamorous. Dirt, trash, maybe one poor soul. She had to disregard it.

"Nah, I don't mind. I'm going to have to get use to it eventually, might as well start simple. But thank you for your offer" Swinging back around to his front, she gave him a hug and began running off. Then she stopped confused. "Is this the right way?"
PostPosted: Wed Aug 12, 2009 9:28 pm

"The importance of this matter is...You, Sphinx," Zevach said, taking a seat across from her. He paused a moment before continuing, after all, it might be slightly suprising, to say the least, for anyone.

"You see, those two you're after, well, I'm planning someting nice for them. Let's just say that hopefully, they'll be leaving this world in style." He made a gesture with his hand, as a clenched fist opened itself up to the sky, as if suggesting an explosion.

"Of course, I could do it by myself, but I have several plans in motion simultaneously, and one cannot expect to do it all alone, even as old and experienced as I am." Of course, he would have to leaver her guessing at his words. "The point is, I do believe you have some...talants, that I find interesting. Controlling a person's mind and therefore their body is quite a rare occurance in history, after all... yes, very rare indeed." he leaned back in his seat, a devilish grin coming to play.

"I can make it well worth your while. You just have to do what I say, that is all. A few tasks here and there, run a few "errands" for me. The type of things you'd find every villain doing," he added, pulling out a pouch, royal blue in color, the strings golden. As to what was inside...

"A payment in advance if you accept my offer."

~~~
"No? You seem eager enough," Vence commented, smiling as she seemed about to jump. She didn't though, and instead came 'round in front of him, all the while mentioning having to get used to conditions like these. She had a point too. Though while every village and town they came across didn't look like this, there was the possibility once in a while.
After giving a brief hug -which he returned (as to why, he didn't really know.)- she madde her way down one end, before stopping suddenly. He grinned, and made his way over to her side.
"As a matter of fact, yes, this is the right way," He replied, and again, took her hand. "Be careful about running off though, please don't tell me I have to be a part-time babysitter too," he said, pretending to complain as he chuckled in amusement at himself.
"Hm?" She had to await for him to sit appearantly before anything was disclosed. At first, the doing something nice for them didn't settle with her, until her contiuned on with his statement and gesture which made her smile in greed.
"Well now aren't you important..." Sitting back in her chair abit, Sphinx began picking at her nails until her interesting quality was mentioned. It was natural for an elf really. "I was taught by someone great and all, so it is to easy for me to consider rare." Laughing alittle, her smile faded.
To do errands for someone else wasn't much of her forte, even if they did threaten the same people she hated, well, atleast one of them. "No deal, if I wanted to kill them I'd do it myself, I refuse to help out another..." The last of her words came out slowly for her eyes fell upon a nicely made pouch that seemed to clink around within as he withdrew it. "Pay eh?"
It would be nice to be payed along with free of the pair. Sphinx was warming up to the idea. "I suppose I could help, hand over the pouch first" Usually she'd controll something as simple as his hand to drop it, but he had more of a....denser head to put it.
"Oh I am!" Her face was lit in glee as she awaited for him to catch up. The hug was much appreciated.
"Really? Maybe I can become navigator then, that'd relieve you of one job." Once his hand was within hers, she wanted so badly to start running once more, but he pretty much denied her access too.
"Babysitter huh?" In abit of a counter mock, she held her chin and looked to the sky as if looking for a response, when instead she already had one in her head. "I was actually hoping for you to be something else, however, as to what it is, I'll leave that for you to figure out."
PostPosted: Thu Aug 13, 2009 8:08 am
"I'm glad you understand me," Zevach said, smiling as he pushed the pouch forward. "And there's more where that came from, believe me. However, if you ever come across anything of value, you're free to take that as well. I don't ask for payments, see; I have far too many items of value in my abode." He shrugged, crossing his arms.
"Basically, you play the part as an assassin. With your talants, it shouldn't be hard at all, what with people nowadays pathetically weak. They used to be so much better off..." he let the sentence die, before srugging again. He stood up, leaning against the table only briefly to say a last few words.
"You must forgive my abrupt leave, Sphinx, but I do have business to attend to elsewhere. I'll see you soon, to give you your first task." With that said, he returned to the corner he had originally been in, and carefully so that no one saw (Except for Sphinx, it didn't matter if she saw) slipped into the shadows and out of sight.
~~~

"If you're good at guessing, then maybe," Vence replied to Mayloo's navigator comment.

"Oh, do I have to guess? I'm terrible at guessing, to be honest," Vence commented, actually taking a few brief moments to think. There were plenty of things he could play the part as. The most common tended to involve being stupid, talkative, and/or annoying. He was pretty sure none of those three were wished for.

"Yeah, I got nothing," he said, shrugging.

Swiping the pouch up greedily, she smiled and placed it away in her own measly backpack. The mention of more money made her oh so more persistant and this man spoke of having so much value already. He wouldn't run out of anything to give her.

"I could finish off the kids fast though, all I'd have to do is take hold of one's mind and pludge them both into trouble...however, making them suffer slowly would be funnier." Her malicious smile had taken place again until he had to bid her a goodbye. "That's fine, how else will you gain your riches" And with that, he appeared elsewhere before vanishing. "I gotta learn that sometime..." Was all she could really say. "Well now!" Her hands slammed down on the table's surface and she stood up fast. "Time to catch some brats" Out the front door she went, following a parallel path to the pair.

"I'm not very sure I am. The only time I think I've guessed for you was your dream meaning" (which was soooo close xD ) Mayloo grabbed one of her backpack straps to adjust it better while they walked along together.

She smiled as if apology. "Sorry...." Then her smiled perked up "But you'll have to figure it out on your own no matter what. It just may take time." No matter how shy she was, she was thinking of maybe telling him instead, but even that would take time. However, managing a few good hints here and there wouldn't be a hard task.

Starting with...
Mayloo stopped in front of him again to hug him once more and since they were alone on the path of dirt, she didn't mind actually staying within his embrace a moment or two longer.

[heh, Camp Chaos. I'm a level 5 nerdlinger 3nodding I've lost once, apparently, for while I was logged off, someone decided to attack me. stare ]

"Oh, poo, I hate figuring things like this out. I mean, puzzles are fine bu-" Vence cut himself off as Mayloo stepped in front to hug him again. Somewhat surprised, he didn't show it. Smiling, he returned the hug with his own.

And he couldn't help but smile even more as he made a sudden connection. If that was the case...

"So is this what you want me to be?" Vence asked in a soft voice. He was pretty sure she knew what he meant, so no confusion there. He didn't have to think it over, either; it was almost an automatic response, like his subconcious knew what he would've wanted anyway.

"Well... I think I can manage one more task."

((heh, I forget when I am, I'm a lvl 2 or 3 something...cause I'm a juvie. lol. Really? I don't think that's possible considering it has to find you someone....dunno))

Mayloo smiled but decided not to let go of him just yet for she didn't dare look up at him just yet while her face fell into a blush. He actually seemed pretty calm about it too, especially when he figured it out.

When he made the 'one more task' comment as well, she suddenly hugged him a bit tighter while making sure to hide her face. It was true, he liked her back.

To keep things funny though, she took a deep breath and spoke. "So you've agreed to be a hugging teddy?" Laughing alittle, Mayloo knew that had been the only thing she used...aside from the peck on the cheek. Then again, that could've been her way to say thank you?

Finally backing away, she made no hesitation in turning around, grabbing his hand, and taking off once more down the path.

"I guess I have, haven't I?" Vence answered back, chuckling at the humor. Still, he was glad, as if a weight had lifted now their feelings were exposed.

He kept his pace with Mayloo quite easily, Still smiling as he took note of his surroundings, keeping himself aware of where they were.

"Very much so" She couldn't help but to feel like running, sort of in a carefree way though. But she didn't, knowing Vence rather her not to with the risks that ran this world.

Looking around, she couldn't help but wonder. Was this walk really going to take so long? They haven't even left the capital yet so this was going to be interesting. "So mister ex-navigator...What kind of terrain shall we expect on our lovely hike?"

((I can do avi art....lol, some are easier to draw then others. I could attempt yours but it'd be more chibi-ish))
PostPosted: Fri Aug 14, 2009 12:22 pm

Well, that depends. Would you rather walk to Bankridge, or travel there by boat?" Vence asked. "If we go by boat, most likely it will be very watery," Vence continued, smiling.

[I actually don't know what mine will look like, since it's being made at random style-wise.]

"By boat?" She stopped and looked at him smiling from his obvious commenting. "Thank you for the information and all. But wouldn't this water cost money? Just asking what there is to expect." Mayloo simply shook her head, and began walking once more in her attempt to find where it would even be.

((lol, Well you know mine will be a chibi =D The other one...yeah I don't know either. ))
