The nurse smiled weakly as Theo muttered a protest but didn't physically fight back. In fact, he slung an arm over her shoulders, leaning on her slightly to help support him. Unfortunately, even though it wasn't taken orally, the cream did have side effects.

Elizabeth was glad Theo did not protect or fight back as she tried to help him. She walked him slowly until she got to the stairs. She looked at him for a moment before she took the steps slowly and carefully. She grapped onto the arm that was over her should around the wrist to keep it there so she could be sure he stayed put next to her. She was not going to rush him, or let him rush himself.
They finally made up the stairs and to his room. She brought him over to his bed and sat him down on it and then she stepped back. "I guess I will let you sleep. I'll just go to my room and read." she said as she turned and readied to leave.

Theo kept his pace steady. He was weak, but he wasn't completely invalid. His steps were certain and he didn't stumble. When they finally reached his room, he sat down on the bed before laying down on it. He turned his head towards her and raised an eyebrow. "You really sure that's a good idea? With Donovan still.... him?"

Elizabeth looked back at him with a scared smile. "No, I am not sure if it is, but you need to sleep." she turned and tried to give him the best smile she could muster. "I will be okay." she tried to say in a happy tone, failing as it came out shaky. She pushed her hair back from her face as she looked away from his gaze, tring not to let him see the hesitation in her eyes.

"It's not safe," Theo said, sounding more absolute. He wasn't about to let her go out on her own, no matter how tired he was. "You're more then welcome to stay here." Code for 'It doesn't matter what you say, you're staying here'.

Elizabeth shook her head and was about to say something, but she stopped, her mouth open and then shut. She guessed she could listen to him this one time. She turned and shut the opened door and then turned and sat down on her knees by the bed side. She crossed her arms ontop of the bed and placed her head on them and closed her eyes. "Just go to sleep, I won't leave." she said her eyes still closed.

Theo watched her intently before yawning and closing his eyes. Within a minute, he was fast asleep. His chest rose and fell as he breathed, his face surprisingly smooth, free from expression, calm.

Elizabeth laid there for a moment, still awake, but soon she felt tiredness sweep over her. She opened her eyes to see if Theo was asleep. When she saw he was fast asleep she smiled and closed her eyes and let herself fall asleep in her satup postion.

Theo didn't move, didn't even awaken until the sun had risen and set. He awoke the following night. Letting out a quiet groan, he shifted and slowly opened his eyes. He took a deep, cleansing breath then turned his head to see if Elizabeth was still by him.

Elizabeth had gotten up to quickly get something to eat from down stairs during the day. She had fast returned and went back to Theo's side with a book in her hands. She was in the same postion at the side of his bed, asleep once again in an up right postion. Her head was laid gently on the bed, her arms wrapped around her head, the book laying barly in her fingertips. Her black hair had fallen over her cheek and eyes, but her tan face and slightly parted lips were still visible through the small parts in her hair.

Theo smiled warmly when he saw Elizabeth still there. He reached a hand over and brushed some locks of hair away from her face. He hated to admit it, but she really was very beautiful, for a human anyway. But he couldn't let anyone know he thought that. They'd think he was going soft.

Elizabeth's face scrunched up slightly and then her eyes cracked open. Her eyes traveled over to Theo, her mind still in a sleepy state. At first she thought she was still dreaming as she saw Theo before her like a vampiric angel in all his glory. Her mind finally began to wake and she lifted her head up and she finally registered that she was awake. "Morning." she said lightly to him.

"Morning sleepyhead," Theo said, pulling his hand back to his side. "Sleep well?" He certainly had. He slowly sat up, wincing. The painkiller had worn off and his body was stiff from having not moved from one position all day.

Elizabeth sat up straight, causing a pop. She winced slighty and then she smiled up at Theo. "Yea I sleeped okay. Are you feeling okay?" she asked him, figuring the painkiller had worn off by now. She stood up and folder her open book and placed it on a table. Her hair was sticking out on one side slightly. She ran her fingers through her hair to straighten out some. She hated bed hair.

"A bit sore," Theo said. "But nothing I wouldn't survive." He stretched his arms, wincing. Damn Donovan. He really had to do something about his younger brother one of those nights. Maybe lock him in the dungeon for a week.
