Earwings drooped as he was given his answer. That was a bit disheartening in a way. It also helped explain why the teachers had been unable to get to them when they had gotten stuck on the island. Just the young, weak students, no teacher, crazy horsemen, (or was that ladies?), and those hunter types trying to kill them all. It was hardly comforting to know they could do that. But the one with the feathers on her shoulders, she said something that came off as if they had started it. Was it their fault? It was a bit of a curious thing. If they did start it… why didn’t the boogy men or the Trick or Treaters take them into custody? They then would be responsible for this whole thing right? How confusing and really, rather agitating on his already worn down nerves.
But as the short horseman, Invictus spoke a more curious question arose from the siren. One that suddenly, in his bird brained mind, took precedence over the matters of student safety and the whole hunter bit. “Wait a second-“ Getting up he walked over to the short horseman, blue eyes filled with innocent curiosity as his ear wings twitched back and forth. “You’re a horseMAN.” A look at the others. “But they are horseLADIES.” Israfel was getting a bit confused now. “Why do you call yourselves horsemen when only one of you is a boil?” It was an innocent question, and the siren kept watching Invictus with interest. He was the boil after all.

Do not throw things... Do not hurt the students, don't hurt them, don't break them... Cymbeline scowled and resisted the urge to bop the silly monster on the head with her scales. If only she could just kill them like on the island... Let them fall again, let them die, let her be done with them forever~
Thankfully the heir of Famine wasn't left to dwell on those dark, destructive thoughts, another student had asked another question. Always chirping, these little birds were. Little frail things, getting on her nerves!
"THAT IS WHY WE ARE HERE IS IT NOT!" Cymbeline shouted, her tone taking on an almost "We didn't squander our precious time while we were trapped in that place, we didn't waste time. We are not like their dumb machines! Stupid, cursed things... We took many of them, trampled them beneath our hooves! THOSE FILTHY ROACHES. NOT EVEN HUMAN. ROACHES."
The ghoul paused, taking a moment to pace before speaking again. It seemed the closer the students got to addressing the island, the more erratic her behavior became. Finally she spoke again in a more even tone. "We learned from them. Not all their dark little secrets, their foul tricks... But knowledge... It can be taught."

L..Lacie was quite intimidated by the doors when she first approached the co-ed washroom. She did think about turning back as words decorated in bloodstains never boded well for others.
But clutching the post-it note that the horseman had seen fit to stick to Lacie's back, a post-it note that said "CO-ED WASHROOM!" with a picture of a turkey, Lacie had known immediately who it was. Putting aside the fact that Xiu had been invited in a similar way, Lacie remembered her quite well. I-It was that lady from the haunted house with an enormous amount of fear that resembled a turkey with her feathers! But she had posed no danger, Lacie finding herself liking her, and having thus come to the stated meeting place.
It was a surprise to see three others that held the same aura as Aisa, Lacie hiding behind the doors, barely noticed by anybody. Her hands clutched Xiu's dress, having come along with her since she surely would have gotten lost had she tried to come by herself. She was still too new to know the area, and along with the last few events, there had been little time to explore.
When Aisa, the scythe-wielding horseman, signalled for attention, something inside of Lacie guarded immediately at the sight of the pendant. It was undeniably familiar to her, something that was best forgotten but could not be discarded that easily. It scared her to think that these hunters might be disguised as them. Her friend might not be her friend, or the person in the hallway could easily become her enemy. Lacie didn't want to be suspicious of the people that resided in her, she wanted to believe. But at the same time, she couldn't forget that belief could also lead to great injury. Her gloved fingers lightly touched her side, remembering the pain that they had inflicted on her the last time that they had met. She was conflicted.
The mired deception of Red's death, the talk of insanity, the horsemen's erratic behavior, the former Halloweeners that was created into weapons to fight against them.. Lacie felt herself immensely saddened. They were concepts so far beyond her thoughts yet they existed. And they would hurt halloweeners, even result in their death if they were to be so careless.
Questions were asked, answers came forth from the horsemen. Even the last question, not entirely appropriate in it's entity, directed towards Connie wiped Lacie's stare as entirely blank.
They would do all that we could.

Moure had nodded to those Edel had introduce him to, then took to listening as the horsemen explained things and questions were answered. Things were looking bleaker by the moment, and Moure wasn't sure how they would possible be able to defeat these Hunters before they were all destroyed by them.
Moure noticed Edel's reaction to the horsemen's statements, and reached out to grab her hand gently and give it a little squeeze. He'd be here for her if she needed him. Judging by the expression on Edel's face, she wasn't taking this information too well, which was very much so understandable.
The next statements drew Moure's attention again. This strange force, known as Insanity, could do all that? Turn sentient beings into confused, crazed figures? Perhaps that explained away Red's personality lapses during that final battle. The Insanity had gotten to her.
When Edel looked toward him, Moure gave a firm nod. If Edel was going to fight for their world, Moure was going too. Nothing could stop him from protecting those he cared about.
