Ark and Nezumi

Nezumi felt Hamlet crawl up onto his shoulder and he looked down to pet the birds. 'Their not so bad', he thought.

Ark quickly came back in and assembled the cages. He left again to get some of the supplies for the birds, then came back in again, locking the door behind him. "So, does that setup look all right?" he asked Nezumi. "I want to make sure before I put them back."

"S-sure that's fine," Nezumi said still watching and petting the 3 birds. He couldn't look up at Ark, not with him only with a light undershirt on.

"You've been acting strange again," Ark said, as he picked up the cage with the lone sun parakeet, "Are you upset about your work again or something?" As he waited for an answer he went and encouraged the bird to go into the smaller of the two cages.

"P-please put a shirt on," Nezumi said still not looking at Ark. His cheeks were still red and he didn't want the other to see that.

"Huh? I am wearing a shirt..." He shrugged, and grabbed his dress shirt and put it on, but not buttoning it. "Not sure what the problem is there, but okay." He came back to get the other cage when Nezumi wasn't touching the birds, and went to put them in their cage.

Once Ark put the birds in their cages, Nezumi grabbed the other's shirt and started rebuttoning it. This man was driving him crazy, and he almost couldnt help himself. "Y-you're killing me," he muttered looking down.

Ark stood still, not making an effort to stop Nezumi. "What's wrong?" he asked. "If you think it's tacky to walk around with just an undershirt, I could take it off, you know."

"T-then take it o-off," Nezumi said feeling the nosebleed growing.

Ark smiled. "You know, I don't mind either way. I just wasn't sure why it bothered you," he said, eyes still on Nezumi. "You know, so I can avoid similar mistakes in the future."

"W-well I'm f-fine with that," Nezumi said glancing up at Ark still blushing, "You're r-really driving me c-crazy."

"What's wrong? What is it I'm doing?" Ark asked. He finally noticed Nezumi's blushing and glanced away, and instead began to twirl his hair with his right hand.

"Y-you know w-what never mind.." Nezumi said looking down at his feet. He quickly turned to leave, slightly hoping that the other would stop him.

Ark reached out and lightly grabbed Nezumi's wrist, making sure he could easily get free. "If you have a problem, you should tell me. You seem rather uncomfortable, and you shouldn't feel that way in your own house, you know."
