And then someone new joined in.
Akubi looked over at Sibyl, "We should just go looking for someone. I yelled for help and no one came forward," he observed as if the authorities were on call just by shouting for them.
He didn't always make the most sense.
"Let's go looking for help. I can't trust this person to call for help, he was the reason our guide got hurt!" He added after a few seconds almost as if indignant that someone hurt the 'Tour Guide' for no reason. SO ABSURD.

Authorities. Murder weapon. The old man was shaking in his boots, staring at the little girl who tried to stop him from going in. He fished a phone out of his pocket and threw it at her. Then he let out a wail as he pushed himself down into the hole to try and help revive and save the woman - so he wouldn't be prosecuted for murder.
When he hit the ground, however, one of his ankles made a terrible sound, and he crumpled against Selene's unmoving form, yelping in pain. He rolled off of the woman, and tried to turn her over, but only managed to turn her on her side.
"HEY. HEY LADY! PLEASE!" His old, wavering voice whined out scratchily, and he bent in to try and hear her heartbeat. A look of absolute joy came over his face, and he grinned wide, showing off all of his many missing teeth.
"SHE'S ALIVE!!"

"Yes, lets go find someone to lock him u-" He'd just jumped down into that hole, hadn't he?
The sound of cracking bone made Riyo visibly flinch, grip tightening on the shovel. What an awful noise. It would seem as if the jig was up. The ghoul scrunched her face with disappointment and leaned on the 'murder weapon'. So much for those reigndeer games.
Now that there was no old man to swing things at her, she returned to sitting on a gravestone, tapping at the ground with her new shovel. A souvenir, as it were. "Now what?" She asked Akubi without looking at him, silently wondering how fun it would be to start digging up human corpses. She figured Selene would eventually come to and get herself out of the hole. No need to help out with that.

Poke had indeed made it in one piece, still standing after the 'fall' and peering around the graveyard curiously. She could smell the sharp tang of pine in the air which was pretty unsettling, though her reasons for this were quite different (you don't quite forgive pine trees when they've killed you before) and she glared around at them as if they were about to pounce. But this was a minor inconvenience on her part. The human world didn't bother her, and thoughts of suffering were not on her mind as she moved to lean against a tombstone near Riyo, watching as she tried in vain to flatten the dress. "It's...not that bad." She offered as a lame attempt to soothe the cat demons worries. "I've seen plenty shorter." Akubi's question had her raising a eye at the demons action. She may have not been the smartest, but even she could tell that it was partly his fault for her acting this way. "You could try apologizing?" She replied to him. And then, literally, all hell broke lose. A old man came about whacking people with a shovel. Sadly the ghoul was a little slow on the uptake, and when she turned around to see what was happening, was smacked in the face with the shovel and sent behind one of the graves. She'll wake up...eventually

What the ******** was going on?
Yeah, he could say that now. They were in the human world.
It wasn't a few minutes after he'd gone through the door, only to reappear in the graveyard that all hell seemed to be breaking loose. Which, if the rumors were correct, sure seemed like Professor Selene's forte. At first, the skinwalker merely straightened a little, lifting his chin and glancing in the direction of the commotion, his ears pricking just a little even as his eyebrows furrowed a little, looking utterly baffled. First of all, it was important to note that his hearing had never been very good when he wasn't an animal, but he was pretty sure that he just heard someone say the word 'Authorities' (which had never been a pleasant experience for him) as well as the words 'murder weapon.' Which, frankly, didn't sound good at all. Glancing over at Taima, he held up his hand to her as he took a few steps backwards, his face still turned towards the small crowd of students beginning to accumulate. "Hold that thought for just a minute. I'm gonna go see what the hell is going on."
He had crossed the short patch of graveyard to where the others had gathered, craning his neck to try to see past them, looking a little more irritable the more it seemed to be fruitless. Not that he wasn't tall -- he was, even as a human -- but a lot of monsters happened to be tall. And at that moment, everyone was freaking out, which was not helping matters. Scoffing to himself, the skinwalker forcibly pushed his way through the small crowd of students (ok, maybe Nuk just liked pushing other students...) making his way towards the center of the commotion.
Naturally, there at the root of the problem, was Selene.
... in the bottom of a hole.
... ... unconscious, it looked like.
Making a face, Nuk strode nonchalantly towards the open grave, sliding his hands out of his pockets. "Hells bells, everyone just chill the ******** out," he replied to no one in particular, not even bothering to look back at the others. And, ignoring the fact that there was an injured old man beside her, the skinwalker hopped down into the hole beside them, landing in a crouched position beside the tiny woman, his arms sliding behind her neck and beneath her knees to pick her up.
"Alright Teach, up we go."
Lifting her up slowly, Nuk rested her gently on the lip of the grave before he hoisted himself back up, sitting back on the dirt to brush it off his palms. Unfortunately, despite the fact that they had their chaperon back, there still left one problem... she was still unconscious. Truth be told, he hadn't really thought that far in advance. Staring at her now, his dark eyes focused on no one particular part of her limp body, he blinked slowly, a singular realization beginning to dawn on him.
He had no idea how a human body functioned. Was she in danger? The old man had said she was alive, but was she in the PROCESS of dying? What did humans do when other humans were unconscious?
Glancing back at the group, he gave them a baffled expression before he glanced back at Selene. Leaning in to sit back on his haunches next to her, the monster gave her a long, hard stare for a few more seconds before he leaned down, put his ear to her chest, making a thoughtful (albeit still clueless) expression before he pressed his lips to hers and blew air into her mouth, trying to revive her.

Oh yay! A skellphone! Sibyl caught it and stumbled away from the man to try and work it. It was just like hers! Yay! Ummm...umm.. ...Ummmmm... She dialed for an emergency. Unfortunately that meant she dialed 13 and nothing happened. She frowned and tried again. 1313...nothing happened. 131313 nothing happened. "Um...Mister Man? Your phone is broken." Selene was taken care of, but this man's phone wasn't working. Sibyl was the worst possible person for this kind of situation; when her stuff stopped working she kicked it. Sibyl tried hitting the phone at first, then dialing the number again. Nope. Still didn't work. She walked up to a tombstone and hit the phone against the stone. Now? Hmm..no, nothing. She tried again...oh.. Well now the phone was just...cracked a little... "IT WAS LIKE THAT WHEN HE GAVE IT TO ME I SWEAR TO JACK!" Sibyl threw the phone away from her and hid her hands behind her back, ducking her head and shuffling away.

Uru stood over the open grave, looking down to the old man and to the rest of the group. He did attack them, granted it was in defense, but the fact remained. He had attacked their authority figure. The demon cocked a brow.
"Can we just leave him?"
His voice was low, plain, but the hint was comically dark.

The sight of an intimidating looking hooligan jumping down into the hole made the old man scoot away, leaving Selene to him. "Still want you kids out of the cemetary.. take her to the hospital or something.. just get me out of here and then go!" But nobody was helping him get out, so when the woman was carried off, and the phone was thrown into the grave - now broken, the man felt a stirring of real fear. ... Was no one going to help him out? ------- Selene was breathing, and she wasn't in any real danger - but she'd hit her head pretty hard on the packed dirt, and that left her blissfully unconscious for all the madness going on around her. After she'd been carried out of the grave and settled onto the ground, her head had just begun to stop swimming and she was crawling slowly back into the world of the conscious. Something was sitting on her chest. The membrane covering her eyes fluttered, threatening to open, but they were mere seconds too late. She was awake when she felt the warm blow of breath puffing into her mouth, through lips that weren't hers. That snapped the membrane back as her eyes widened with shock, just in time to see Nuk - of all the -Selene rolled her eyes back and fainted almost immediately after that short thought.

Worry crept in for a moment as Nukpana's face darkened the brighter Taima's smile grew, replaced quickly with joy as they seemed to finally reach the same conclusion. "I know," she said, empathizing with Nukpana completely. "It felt real--it could have been real, just...not for us." Entire lives that had never really been lived and never would be, from birth to the end of the world in a single night's sleep. Although the dream had been just that, it had left a significant impression, forging bonds that shouldn't exist but were undeniably there. "I thought I had just gone a little crazy, until you showed up," she admitted sheepishly before walking through the door. The sensation of going from Halloween to the human world was not unlike freefall, dizzying and exhilarating--only this time, Taima didn't have her wings to control her descent. She stumbled into the cemetery completely off-balanced, catching herself on a tombstone so she didn't fall to the ground. As she righted herself, she noticed a group of students surrounding their unconscious teacher. "Is she dead?" Taima asked no one in particular. More importantly, if she was dead, did they still get class credit? #priorities x_Nata_x ahhhhh sorry, had to work late today x.x

Gabby giggled when Efflo cuffed him on the shoulder, and he let the boils face go, wrapping his arm around his shoulder. "You know you're the only one that makes me feel this way." He assured him. "I already told you that. Besides, you're cute when you're jealous." That little pinch of his face, the fire in his eyes, it was precious. Gabby was not trying to dissuade it in the least. Would he flirt more often? Maybe not, but he certainly wouldn't be angry at Efflo for acting up every so often like this. He enjoyed it just a little too much. When he turned, boil under his arm, to try and return to the class, he stopped after one step and stared at the much-changed scene in front of them. Had they been in their own little world just a little too long? The only thing missing was something, or someone, on fire.

Glancing around sheepishly, Nuk ran his hand through his pin-shortened hair, flicking his eyes back to Selene again, hesitating before he leaned down again.

"MISS SELENE IS SAVED!" Maybe. Something like that. But that poor old man... Sibyl peered over the edge of the grave. He was all alone and he looked hurt. Would he be okay? He was asking for help! They should help him! And so Sibyl did what she did best, she helped the man. The ghoul jumped down into the grave and offered a hand out to help the man stand. "Are you okay, Mister Man? I'll help you! It's okay!" She looked up at the sky above them with a huge grin until she realized they were 6 feet in the ground. Oops...

Removing his hands from his pockets, Uru knelt down, offering a large, rough hand his fellow student. If she had jumped down, then she will need the help back up. The old human was just a bonus. This was his only gesture. Take it or not, it was there. The class needed to move forward and they needed the teacher and all of the students. Can't go leaving one stuck in a hole. "Come on."

"I guess. Better cause I already got this pin on." It would be a pain to take it off. He had no idea who this guy was, but Zar seemed to like him so he had to be cool, right?
Waiting with the rest of the class, he followed along though had a hard time catching up and was one of the last people to make it through the door. When he stepped out, he was in a open grave.
Correction. He was STUCK in a open grave.
He was far too short to get out. "Hello? Anyone?!" He called out. Little help here.

"NnnnnnnnnnNNNN I'm awake!!" Selene's eyes snapped open again, and her hand pressed hard against her lips, just in time to feel Nuk push the back of her hand. Her entire face lit up like a giant red light bulb of embarrassment, and she shook her head frantically, waving her free hand to indicate that she was awake, she was fine, and she was in no more need of student lip service. "Sssssstudents pleasssse gather up, we're l-l-leaving!" She had no idea the old man was in the grave, and if she was going to be honest with herself.. she probably wouldn't have cared at that one single moment in time. --- The little girl jumped in, and the old human just stared at her in absolute horror. "Why did you come in here?!" He yelled. "YOU can't help me back out! Now someone's going to come in here and save YOU and leave me AGAIN! GOD I HATE KIDS." TO ALL WHO HAVEN'T GONE THROUGH THE PORTAL We will be moving on in approximately HALF AN HOUR and if you have not made your portal post, you will be LEFT BEHIND! Don't miss out!
