Haunting the staircase was a faint, rapid murmuring, only barely audible and somewhat jumbled with how quickly the words were pronounced, "--heartless's what it is. You're sick; you can't'lp that. H'says 'no one lef' behind' but god-god, what about you? Jus'ecause you're sick? - Hey, shh, sshhh, d'you hear that?"

There was a short spell of silence followed by the sound of footsteps hastily retreating up the stairs from the landing to the next floor.

If the Rockets ascended further, they would pass a long deceased woman propped up in the corner of the landing.

The 'oh s**t' look was strong on Aulus' face.

He grabbed his staff again but didn't extend it in the confines of the stairway.

Glancing at his companions he motioned that he was going to advance, because that had worked out so damn well so far today-

Oh hi, another body. Of course.

[Room B to J]

As he waited for the decision, which he heard was going up, Tama realized just how bad he smelled being off by himself. "Oh god... it's going to take months to get this reek out." He was wondering why Jezzabelle was keeping her distance.

Being closest to the door, he blinked when he heard the voice and looked to the stairwell. "Guys... I hear talking in there.... doesn't sound.... sane."

Under Aulus' hand, Hayes' gave his shoulder a squeeze.

"S'ok man," he told his former partner quietly.

The blond gave the stairs a doubtful look, then started up. "Bines, with me." The little Umbreon glued herself to his heels, sometimes leaping a few steps ahead to scout out the darkness. Then she stopped, ears pricked straight up.

Hayes stopped, and listened.. and kept going on up.

"Hey. Sh." This was for Tama, with a faint frown.

Welp... no orders but guess they were headed up. So they went. Kailee following. Her mouth decidedly closed. And thats when they heard Voices. Seeing the man wanted to go up still and not back track she contemplated the idea he may have lost his marbles. should they have not told Claire about this by now? She glanced to the other grunts and then just headed up her hand near Brimstone's pokeball and boo hovering over head.

"What is it? ... Ooh." Voices and Glit hissed, releasing a cloud of Sweet scent as she decided that no, she wasn't going to put up with this stink any longer. Lex laid a hand on her, the regal pokemon still before following Aulus and Hayes up... to a body.

Lex paused, staring at Hayes, had he step.. yesh, before slowly approaching and crouched down, before shining a light to look at the poor woman's face. "Can't tell who this is either." He sighed, and motion to Glit and she released a other cloud of Sweet scent to combat the smell of fresh death.

The voices are what stopped Faleen, and her hand moved instantly to her back where her gun was, slowly drawing it, but for now keeping it down along with her unlit flashlight.

Next to her her pokemon poised for any kind of attack, or order that Faleen might give them, but before anything could be done by any Rocket, the footsteps fled.

"It certainly does not..." Faleen agreed with Tama in a soft whisper, though lifting her fingers as she continued to follow Aulus up the stairs,
her brow furrowed at the sight of a dead body, no doubt the one the voice was talking to.
Faleen stepped away from it, while at the same time turning the light on and lifting it to look at the body, for any signs on how she had died. Keeping her gun pointed to the ground since Lex had stepped forward to also look at her.

Okay, so there was talking and... on going up, another body.
Now that she could think a little clearer, away from the rooms of horrible memories, Tambrey did begin to find the presence of so many bodies, humans and pokémon alike, rather disturbing.

And whoever that was... not sounding well, ahead of them...

Everything seemed to hint at something a lot more disturbing than a simple crash. to her.

Hayes tapped out a brief message to Claire.

Upstairs, somewhere ahead. Live one.

It wouldn't take a great deal of guesswork to tell what had caused the woman's demise once a light was shined upon her; bandaging on her arm barely concealed the severely infected wound that had likely triggered sepsis.

Tama just huffed when he was told to 'sh', but stayed quiet. Recalling Tiamat since she was a bit too big to fit in the staircase, he followed the group.

He nodded to Faleen, happy that someone acknowledged him.

Oh... that's another body. This better not be an omen." He thought as he climbed the stairs, stepping over the body when it seemed to topple to the sighed. They were heading up toward where a possible psycho was.... that was smart.

Aulus killed his flashlight, relying on the light from the others as he crept up the stairs.

People were talking behind him, and huffing in fact. Why were people talking and huffing behind him? Had him gesturing rather than speaking not been a clue that maybe possibly not making noise might be excellent?

He wanted to go home!

He kept going up, because there was a body right there and he did not like it at all and also staying still was not going to solve anything.

He really wanted to go home.

On the step before the top he came to a halt and reached into one of his coat pockets, pulling out a mirror slightly smaller than his palm. Taking care not to catch the light of any of the torches he used it to try to look around the corner; now that he knew something- someone was alive up here he was taking no chances of getting his head cut off by peeking incautiously.

"Where is Tethys? She had never let things get this bad." He shook his head, wondering why in the world he was missing her, though considering the amount of death, and preventable at that.

Lex leaned against Glit, feeling his Crobat loom behind him providing support and Flatline hoovering close. And up they went.

Ah there is was... well that certainly wasn't a nice way to die, though Faleen had no real pity for the lost life, this was after all a Galactic soldier.

Her curiosity satisfied, Faleen clicked off her light like Aulus and continued to follow him up the stairs as quietly as she could, listening for more sounds.

With Aulus in front of her she didn't lift her gun, but but kept it out with her finger off the trigger in case they came to a more open aria upstairs. pausing just as Aulus stopped to let him have a look around the corner.
