 She watched as they all talked and laughed. It brought a smile to her face to see something like this again. She hadnt experienced a happy family in a very long time. A sad smile crossed her lips as she thought about it. She snapped out of her thoughts when Adrian leaned in and whispered to her. She looked at him and smiled softly. "I'm okay Adrian. I'm just adjusting" she said and leaned closer kissing his cheek. She held Luna with one arm and once they said grace she began to eat.

Alyssa ate her food and watched everyone talk and eat and enjoy each other.

] After dinner was done and everything was put away. the bonfire was started and adrian said "oh i totally forgot it was bonfire night."

Alyssa helped put things away but the gang did most of the cleaning. "Bonfire night?" She said and watched as the fire started. Luna had fallen asleep so she just held her in her arms. "Should I take her inside to bed?" She asked Adrian. [

Adrian said "Yeah there is a baby monitor in the drawer in the hall it should still work." Adrian got the smores ready

"Alright" she said and walked inside with Luna. She looked in drawer in the hall trying herbest to stay quiet so she doesn't wake her. She found the baby monitor and went to his room. She laid luna on the bed and put pulled and turned on the baby monitors. She left one there and took one with her. She went back outside to join everyone else.

Alyssa nodded. "Yes I am" she said. "It's been a long time since ive felt like i had a family" she saod smiling and blew on the marshmallow before taking a bite.

Adrian yawned then he said "Good night everyone." then they said "Good night adrian." adrian started to head towards the house

Alyssa watched him get up and head towards the house. She looked around at everyone wondering if she should go inside too or just follow him inside. She wasnt used to being with everyone by herself.

Adrian walked inside while adrians mom sat next to alyssa and said "if you don't feel comfortable sitting here with us you can go ahead inside we don't mind." adrians mom smiled at alyssa.
