The UN council was beginning to look like even bigger idiots than they previously were. When the UN thought to detain him and Roberts threatened to invade, even Akuro thought he went too far. There was a difference in defending yourself in a hearing and threatening to invade a country to free yourself. It was however helpful when Akuro would bring up the Barrus rifle sale contract to NATO, and their record spoke for themselves. Using the 'modern knight' soldier, Roberts put NATO to shame without having to utilize such a large army.
A moment later an armored suit broke through the doors followed by two more. Akuro's guards immediately moved in front of the young councilman, hindering his view of the proceedings, only being able to hear the man's speech. When he heard Union Jack, he couldn't help but think that one of the other councilmen acted although this was too rash and public for any of the Union's affairs. When the gunshot went off and screams accompanied, Akuro put two and two together. The Chinese delegate was dead. That only meant a marginal drop in production, the Chinese didn't produce the best of materials, only minor parts for mechanisms.
In the panic that followed, Akuro stood and left the room, escorted by his guards and surrounded by more spectators of the hearing. They were taken out of an emergency exit as the police arrived and began guiding people away. Akuro was displeased as they were walking to the car, the day ruined by the interruption of 'Union Jack' and his pals. The group entered the car, but because the police were checking everyone and blocking the exits, Akuro ordered them not to leave yet. He'd rather stay and get a chance to learn more about the situation. Despite the Union's reach, information wasn't their specialty. Money was.

"Whoa." Julia said as she watched the events from her laboratory. "That is some cool armor." Julia completely ignored the actual shooting and death to focus only on the armor the guy was wearing.
Leila almost pouted at Snow's words. She even looked a little surprised to see his sister appear out of nowhere. Then the killing started with a man named Union Jack and his group. "This day just got better. I'm not sure for whom though." she muttered as she stood standing in the chaos. She was glad for one thing though dark as it is...the Chinese government won't be sending anymore kids across the seas like cattle. She looked to the siblings. "I'll be right back." the red head told them as she made her way to Vincent was surrounded by his entourage. "Let's go. This meeting is over from the looks of it." She was shocked sure but she can't say she didn't see this coming.

Greg's jaw hung open slightly a bit in shock. Threatening an invasion of the United States was not exactly something he, or seemingly the rest of the world, expected. It was like the worries of the American militia groups he occasionally sold surplus arms to had come true. Either way, he did not intend to be in New York on the off chance of that happening, meeting with the Union or not. As he stood up to go fetch his clothes, likely still wet in the dryer, he heard the commotion on television as Robert's knights in shining armor came to his aid, and shot the Chinese delegate in cold blood to make their point. Turning back around, he watched as chaos enveloped the screen, likely on all channels at this point. Sitting back down, Greg slowly began to realize the potential opportunity that was presenting itself here. If the U.N. had wanted Robert's tech before, it certainly wanted it now, or at the least a way to counter it. Robert's had just kicked off the greatest arms race since the Cold War, and arms race's were good for business. And thinking of business, his mind drifted back to the topic of the meeting with the Union. He figured he had better get in touch with the person who had delivered the invitation, and confirm that the meeting was in fact, still on. He reached over to the nightstand, and pulled out his phone. He had some calls to make.
Now that I'm moved back into College, I surprisingly have a bit more free time than during the Summer. Who would've thought.
A man from Vincent's entourage turned to Leila for a moment. "Sorry miss, but we'll need to keep him here for a few moments, the police will likely want to ask him questions about the incident. There's really no cause for them to arrest him luckily, so once they're done, we're leaving." Vincent himself sat quietly, looking stiff and like he didn't want to touch anything around him, the blood was getting to him. After sitting there for a while, the police finally showed up and started to question him over the event. It boiled down to a lot of 'I don't know' and 'I'm not sure' statements from Vincent.
Once the police finished, Vincent's men helped him up and quickly led him out of the room. "Miss Storm, if you'd like you can come with us. We must take Mr. Roberts to the airport, we're heading to Cairo immediately." The entourage stopped in the main hallway of the building as three SUV's pulled up in front of the building. About fifteen men in light tactical armor quickly got out and unfolded what looked like shields. The clothing they were wearing was nothing compared to the power armors made by Vincent's company, but it did a fair job. They entered the building and quickly surrounded Vincent, forming a sort of 'turtle shell defense' formation. Once they were ready, the walked Vincent outside and to his limo, trying to keep him safe from the multitiudes of reporters and others. Some of Vincent's entourage and armed guards stuck near Leila though, wanting to make sure she was safe.
(OOC: Definitely need to go to bed now. xP The armor I showed just now isn't power armor, so you all know, it's just tactical gear with some armoring, but not much. Anyways, I think that's it for now, but I'll add more later if I have to. xP )

The police eventually came around to questioning Akuro and his men, although all his answers weren't helpful to the investigation. They found he was a supplier for the UN and thought nothing more of it, letting him and his men go with clearance. As the councilman and guards climbed back into their cars, Akuro let out a sigh of relief. "Get me a line to the rest of the Council. Immediately." he emphasized.
Generally the Union council never had communication with each other unless such an important matter happened that it was necessary for a meeting to be called the kept minimal connection to with one another. "Sir, it's your in-between." the guard next to him handed a phone to Akuro. "Yes? Him... Yes, it's still a meeting, no time or location change. Just make sure he's dressed accordingly. Get him a suit if you have to." he ended the call with his contacter, and handed the phone back to his guard.
He watched out the window as a security group escorted someone out of the building, preventing any of the reporters from getting close. Akuro guessed it was someone either directly involved with the 'Union Jack' or someone else from the council hearing. "I think our business here is over with. Take me back to the hotel." Along the drive, Akuro called his development department at Yakigima to learn more about their project.
He expected with the Russian's speech he'd more than gladly offer to test them out for him, as Akuro wanted to keep them as close a secret as possible as the Union already had concerns over Robert's control with them, they'd certainly propose sanctions on Akuro when they found out. While the division decided upon the name 'APE' for Armored Personnel Enhancer, Akuro decided onto call them 'Beastmen' as an opposing product to Vincent's infamous tool.
"Right, good to know. Do I own a suit? Eh...... Let me get back to you on that. Yes, yes I will be dressed appropriately. Yes, I know what appropriate means. Thank you, goodbye." Hanging up, Greg scratched his head. He did not in fact, own a suit. He barely possessed any clothes, and certainly hadn't thought that far ahead in packing for New York. Checking the time, he figured he had plenty of time to go out and find something however, as soon as he finished his calls. He still had to get in contact with Mr. Orlov, the client for whom the Barrus rifles were intended. He also wanted to get on top of keeping up tabs with his competition in the coming arms race, and on the development of tech in the more 'civilized' countries of the world. Punching the Russian's number into his sat phone, he got up and headed to the laundry room to fetch his clothes. "Hello! Hm? Oh, sorry Mr. Orlov, I forgot about the time differences, I didn't wake you up I hope?...... Yes, busy times indeed. Well I was calling to inform you that yes, the products you requested do seem promising, have not gotten the chance for extensive testing, seeing as I'm smack dab in the middle of a sprawling liberal metropolis, and the police here actually do care when you break the law.... Uhuh, I'll be sure to watch out for that. Well, you have a good evening now.... Yes, goodbye." Hanging up, Greg pulled his clothes from the dryer, still damp, and hastily pulled them on. He figured that Tom would be asleep back in the basin of the Aral Sea, and he'd call him later, after the meeting with the Union, for which he now left in order to acquire fitting clothes.

I know, I was just lacking some *cough* QUALITY CONTENT *cough* in my post, and didn't really know what else to do. On a side note, how exactly do the Barrus rifles work? Like, caliber, weight, muzzle velocity, all that jazz?
EDIT: Goddammit I killed another RP.

Leila stayed silent at the entourage for a moment and let the police question Vincent. She looked at the once confident man being reduced to small phrases and can barely speak. The red head nodded and followed Vincent into the limo. She opened her purse as she sat next to him and pulled out a cloth and cleaned off the blood off him gently. "Are you all right?"
