Lost Memories

[Naphalm]

Naph steadied himself as she healed him, his eyes clamped shut tightly. When she finished he opened his eyes, his whole face stung like he had just gone a hundred rounds in combat but he shook himself. He looked at Alies and blessed the gods she was here. Then she collapsed and he grabbed her, he lifted her with ease though had to steady himself. He lay her on the bed and kissed her cheek. There was another audible crash from downstairs and Naph bit his lip in thought. He gave her a quick kiss on the forehead and finally retrieved his blade from his things. It shined in the light and he had a menacing look on his face as he exited the room, closing the door quietly behind him...  

[Alies]

*She felt him lay her down on the bed and she opened her eyes slowly. She still felt weak, but at least she could see and hear. She looked around the room and noticed he didn't take the cross. She cursed loudly and tried to stand up, however she fell to the floor with a thud. She could feel herself becoming strong yet not strong enough to walk. She crawled her way over to the cross on the floor then in the same fashion tried to crawl down stairs to hand him the cross.*  

[Naphalm]

Naph was at the bottom of the stairs when he heard the bump from upstairs, but it was to late to go back now. He could see the creature, and the creature could see it. He walked boldy to the opposite end of the room and held the sword aloft pointing at the creature. He whipped out some shades from his pocket and slipped them on his face, "never again..." he muttered to the thing. It simply stared at him, its devilish face grinning. Simultaniously they charged at each other, but Naph never intended to strike yet. He rolled to the side of the hybred which lurched past him. He leapt up and brought his sword down at one of the beasts wings which fell off with a slap and burnt to ash when it hit the floor, he backed away from it holding his blade ... thats when he spotted Alies crawling down the stairs....  

[Alies]

*She felt too weak to make it any more closer to him so she just stayed at the bottom step.* You forgot this..*she held up the cross to show him what she brough, then closed her eyes and passed out yet again at the bottom step.*  

[Naphalm]

With a yelp he ran to her, the beast tracked him, so he knew he couldnt stay by her side. He grabbed the cross, and slipped it into his Jacket pocket for later. He dodged back round the room, letting the creature follow him so it faced away from Alies. He held the blade up, closed his eyes and spoke a few strange words in a foreign tongue, it was a rasping noice and the hybred looked both shocked and angered. Then Naph open his eyes, they had healed completely now and he was totally focused. "FOR ALIES!" he cried out his warcry and sprang forward. The beast spat again but he ducked. He slashed foward cutting the beasts chest and deeply into his arm. The creature sidestepped, its big body moved surprisingly quickly, and brought a set of claws down at Naph, they struck him and he went sprawled on the floor. He sprang up, his mind working quickly. He looked over at Alies, and prayed she'd wake up, he needed her help...  

[Alies]

*She heard him call her name and slowly opened her eyes again. She looked over at him and saw that he was ingured yet again, but this time she didn't know if she had enough energy to help him. She tried to stand up, but fell to the floor with another loud thud and a small cry. She hated not being able to help him she curlled up into a ball close to the wall.* I love you Naphalm. *She said soflty hoping he would hear her.*  

[Naphalm]

He watched her struggle and knew she was trying... she was saying something but another set of claws came down and he concentrated on moving out the way. He got to his feet, and held the sword at an arms distance, keeping those claws away. He pulled the cross from his pocket and shuffled round so he was next to Alies. He made her hold the cross tightly in her hand and then ran to the stairs, he parried an attack from the thing on the way and soon dissapeared upstairs. He was only gone a split second, he was back holding a small vial full off silvery liquid. He ducked and rolled under another swipe. His reactions were still quick even after that shake up. He popped the cork, muttered, "forgive me Alies" and downed the liquified moonshine potion. The changes were almost instant, he ripped off his Jacket and t-shirt and slung them on the floor, course black hair sprouted from his skin, and with a roar, his bones altered. He grew taller and muscular, and a muzzle protruded from his face. He gave a screech and prepared to face the hybred.  

[Alies]

*She watched him change and held onto the cross tightly. She knew he was doing it for her, but still she felt scared. She didn't know what he would do if he saw her and she felt hot tears role down her cheeks as she watched him fight. She didn't hate him for being what he was, it made her love him more. She wished he hadn't of changed just for her, she wished she could do something to help. She tried standing again, yet failed. All she could do was just sit there and watch.*  

[Naphalm]

The two creatures collided in a big pile in the middle, at first the wolf had the upper hand, it leapt ontop and used its weight it pin the hybred down while it slashed, but the demon overpowered him and pushed him off. He rushed each other again, claws, teeth, powerful punches and kicks. Ripping shreds of each other. The vicious battle seemed to last forever. But as luck would have it, the werewolf caught the hybred in the eye, it stuttered and the hesitation let the wolf swipe unblocked, the powerful blow caved the hybreds head in, it collapsed on the floor and the werewolf stood over him, and it lay there watching, as it brought its foot down on the hybreds face.
The wolf howled into the air and bit into the tender flesh but spat it out as the meat tasted rancid. So it looked around for something else, thats when it spotted Alies..  

[Alies]

*Her eyes became big as he looked over at her. She still was too weak to move so she was helpless. She cluched the cross harder into her hand knowing that it wouldn't help her against a werewolf. She cluched the wall and closed her eyes, she kept telling herself that it was Naphalm and if he would do anything to her it would be ok. She wasn't afraid of this creature so she opened her eyes again and staired at it.*  

[Naphalm]

He slowly stepped towards her, the red eyes looking her up and down. Its long claws on its feet clicked as they hit the floor. It got to a few feet away from her, it leant in. There was rancid smell of meat and sweat coming from it, its ugly head came close enough so Alies' hair breazed back from its breath, which smelled even worse than he did. Its long tongue dangled out of the end of its mouth. Its teeth just inches from her face, it opened its mouth slowly, bared its claws ... lifted its arm ready to strike ..... it jolted back like a million volts had just gone through it, it collapsed on the floor writhing in pain, and soon the hair decreased and the muzzle dissapeared. Naph lay there, his eyes closed softly, his breathing very slow, and his heartbeat was very low....  

[Alies]

*When he colpassed to the floor she let go of the cross. There was a mark in her hand for she was holding it so tight. She got down on her hands and knees and crawled over to him yet again. She picked him up and held him tightly in her arms.* Naphalm...please wake up. *She whispred in his ear, tears were still falling down her cheeks, but this time because she was scared she would lose him.* Don't leave me Naph.  

[Naphalm]

His heartbeat seemed to spike when she got near him, his eyes still remained shut, but he murmered, "for the last time, i'm not going anywhere." his lips curled into a smile and his eyes opened, he embrased her, and kissed her, and didnt let go.....  

[Alies]

*She heard his voice and her tears turned into tears of happiness as they kissed. She closed her eyes and held him tightly not wanting to leave his side. Her heart beated faster, not because of fear, but because of the kiss. Warmth spread through her body and she felt stronger, however she wasn't going to leave him. Not now..not ever.*  

[Naphalm]

He laughed and kissed her more. He pulled away, laying back on the floor and staring up at the ceiling. He looked round at the room, most of it was in ruins, it sparked the memory of his wrecked village. He shook his head and looked around again, "Do you think Diana is ok?" he asked quietly...
