Chibi Riku 22 Yeah, I'm currently seeking aid for payment... I have no clue what the Doctors bill is, but standard ER costs alone was $3,700. We had the opportunity to go cheaper, took it, and now we're battling to go lower since if I were to pay this myself as I am considered an adult and am not on my parents insurance I would not be able to pay this sweatdrop And I was only there for 2 bloody hours! that's like 1k an hour!!!! WHO THE ******** GETS PAYED THAT!?!?!? I know that not one person gets paid that amount, it's for staffing the entire ER, BUT STILL, COME ON PPL. evil That was worth another month in Japan for Christs sake! evil Go to a sperm bank then blood bank.

Thanks... I just find the amount ridiculous. Anybody would. And I do go to the blood bank, but all they have there are a complimentary "continental breakfast" to get your blood sugar back up during your 15 min. wait, and usually a coupon for a restaurant, a pint of ice-cream, or a Marie Calendars pie. MMMMmmm, Marie Calendars pie heart That's why I go to the blood bank right there! But I don't think SLO county even has a Sperm Bank, let alone anywhere near SLO County. Maybe in LA or Vegas or something but nowhere around here. Not that I've checked or anything, I've just never seen one or heard anyone talk about one sweatdrop
But I'll google it to see what results come up for lols xd rofl

Also, I greatly appreciate all of your concerns regarding this issue. My dad has been extremely pissy about this situation since that early morning (basically forcing guilt on myself), and the bill pretty much put him over the top. I was surprised he came back down so quickly, but I guess he blew off some steam when he talked to the hospital management sweatdrop

No prob...
The program here requires you to bring in some paystubs to prove that you are indeed poor...then they send you to the Medicaid rep, who will deny you support unless you are a poor unwed mother or somesuch...
The funny thing is, you want Medicaid to deny you...'cause if they didn't the hospital would continue to bill you, waiting for the government to send in that fat check...
Once you are denied, you go back to the program rep, and they go, "Ah...your paystub says that you could never pay this bill...and the government isn't going to pay us, either...hmm... Meh - let's just cancel it all and save us all a lot of trouble, 'k?"
That's seriously how it works - you end up paying a few minor fees that total maybe a hundred bucks, and you're good to go...
