gonk How do you beat Flea and/or Slash in Chrono trigger? Who should I use?
Frog+Crono+Lucca/Robo (
Not Marle!)
Frog has sub-par power in both attack and magic because he's a paladin, so use him for items/dual techs and Slurp as necessary. Lucca is the best caster for someone on their first playthrough; Slash has notably lower MDEF, as well, so if you take advantage of Fire and Lucca's combos with Frog, you can make short enough work of him for him not to make short work of you.
Also, do Slash first. You get his sword (+2 spd) for Crono. <3
Flea is only annoying because of status ailments and all-attacks. She has flimsy DEF, so you might want to switch Lucca for Robo (Give him +mdef accessories) for an extra hand in siphoning off her HP. Keep at
least two people's HP high, because the
heart heart heart spell
will hit lower-defense members for over 100. Combo Crono with Robo or Frog, and leave one of them on standby for emergency healing (Flea's pretty fast.)
Marle is not suggested EVER because her only multi-target healing spells are dual techs, and she has the worst stat growth of all the characters. Her only saving grace is the eventual promise of Haste and Life2, but you can get helmets with Haste on 'em and I only really remember needing Life2 against the endboss.
xd If you have the patience to unlock Frog's Heal early, it's a great help with both them and Magus.
