Aislin pulled out another knife from the back of her belt, and grabbed Barick's hair. Her eyes cold, uncaring, and annoyed with the fact that Barick was still breathing."Because this is what the customer is paying me to do, you silly fool. Now stop lingering and die already." She pulled the knife across his throat. "Stupid man... I've never even seen you before..."

Gab whimpered, hating the feeling he was getting from his connection with Aislin.

Barick's eyes widened and he fell onto his knees after Aislin slit his throat. He then collapsed onto the floor, a puddle of blood creeping slowly outward from under him.

"No! Get away from him you b***h!" Aegina shouted, slamming the flat side of her sword into Aislin's head. She assumed that Barick was okay, but she couldn't help worrying. If anything happened to him, she'd never be able to forgive Aislin.

Core watched what was happening in terror. The last time he heard from that drug, it's lifespan was only a few hours. They couldn't let Aislin kill Barick during that or she would never forgive herself. But what could they do? Core looked at the tranquilizer gun in his hand.

Chiasa's eyes widened in horror at what Aislin had done. She ran to Barick and crouched down next to him. Still holding Gab in one arm, she reached a hand under his throat, to his injury. Her hand glowed with magic as she healed the cut in his neck.

Aislin instinctively ducked the incoming blade and jumped away. She threw the much smaller blade at the man with the gun. She had no real intention to hit him, it was just a distraction as she twisted and jumped to escape the room. "Fine... Not like it matters..."

Gab shivered in Chiasa's arms, Lin's voice sounded wrong, so very wrong. It sounded like Lin, but the tone and the ice behind it wasn't right.

a very familiar face appeared at the main enterance to the academy, walking in to find the chaos within. Scowling, Leonard cursed at himself. how could he have left his master's academy remain ungaurded? Walking farther in, he reached the quarantine chambers, and found Barik's trail. he then proceeded to follow it, taking his time.

(I should have made a bet!!! I missed a perfect chance to!!! Since Leonard is one who simply won't die(and since I have a feeling he's only going to interrupt any character development between Barick and Aislin...)...)

Core's eyes became solid black. While Chiasa was distracted, he had other things to deal with...
He turned around, sensing more enemies approaching. He bolted silently towards where he knew Leonard was, weapon at the ready.

(Actually, i brought Leonard here to lose a lot of his strength. But itll require Core to try and reason with him...)

Leonard saw core the same time he would have been able to see him. flexing his claw, Leonard scowled. he wasnt sure why he was going this anymore though. his master was as good as dead, wasnt he?

Core's metallic wings lifted up to their normal wingspan of about two feet when he found Leonard. Then, energy formed around him and the individual feathers of his artificial wings detached from their base, drifting in the air as if Core had real Angel wings only they were invisible. His nails lengthened and turned silver in color as he lunged at Leonard, claws at the ready and murder in his eyes.

Leonard scowled, and jumped, spinning, spreading his own wings so that he could move better, kicking out at Core, but not using his energy, mainly trying to get core past him. landing on his feet, Leonard moved into a fighting stance, but hesitated, still indecisive.

Right as Leonard kicked out, Core reached for his offending foot. If he gripped it, he would proceed to rip Leonard's entire leg off at the thigh with his bare hands. If not, his free claw would try and find its way to Leonard's chest where it would wreck havoc in Leonard's rib cage.

Leonard barely managed to dodge core's claw from his leg, but he barely got a barrier up to block the ribcage shot. the barrier shattered though, which sent Leonard soaring back with the backlash, into the wall, crumpling for a moment. regaining his composure though, he got up, and dove, moving to get away from the wall, and when he came upright, he pointed at Core, sending five panels soaring, right at Core.

Even as Leonard was being thrown back, Core was giving chase; steadily moving both himself and Leonard away from the others. Two of the panels cleanly missed Core since they were aiming at something farther away. He stepped on one of the panels and drove it into the ground. Then he sprung off the temporarily stilled panel right towards Leonard, the feathers from his fake wings dealing with the remaining two panels. He brought his tipped claws down on Leonard like he was going to gut him like a fish.

Leonard gasped, as he felt Core's claws graze him, as he dove back, putting his panels up, interlocking, into a shield. he was panicking now. his indecision was going to bring him to an end... kneeling, he put a barrier up just for more insurance, and filled the cooridor with fog, as he tried to heal the gash.

Aegina spotted Aislin heading away. "Oh no you don't!" Aegina said and wall of swords shot out in the path of Aislin's escape. Aegina ran at her, her sword ready in hand. She knew that she couldn't harm Aislin, or else Barick would be heartbroken, but she had to stop her somehow.

Due to Chiasa's magic, Barick's woulds healed, but he still laid there cold and lifeless. A few seconds later, he started coughing up blood, and slowly got to his knees. "Thank you, Chiasa..." Barick thanked.
