with CUPCAKES! Where are you going to get those cupcakes from when there is no world? You'd have to invent omnicupcakes first which do not require presence of any other matter but themselves first.
Well, unless you build the new world parallel to the old world on which you craft the cupcakes, then abandon the old world as the new one takes over.
But what if the old world, betrayed and alone, will try to take revenge on it's superior? You have to take that into consideration and destroy the old world to make sure no casualities happen. But where would you craft weapons with enough firepower to obliterate a world? The materials for them could only be gathered on an old and ripe world, but would the world allow the weapons to be build on her, knowing it will lead to her own destruction?
We may or may not never not know.
