"zombie" by Versailles.
Ohh, you're a bassist, too, Havok~? Well, if you're into metal, but also into heavy bass lines, boy do I have the perfect recommendation for you. The GazettE. Their bassist, Reita, is ******** amazing, and they're a fairly heavy band, especially by my tastes. I'm not into much metal, at least not American stuff; if it's metal, it's gotta have those heavy bass riffs I love, or it's a no go. And if I go back through some of my older posts in this thread, I'm sure I can turn up a few more bands to add to my suggestions for you... Ah, there's one I listened to just recently, DELUHI; they're heavy, too, but the bass is amazing~ D'espairsRay are fair good, too. Lolita23q, though they're not very heavy, the bass is nice. And I'm a huge fan of BUCK-TICK's bass lines. There are others, but I'll leave it at that or I'll go on all day. If you'd like to know more recommendations from the Spazzy (because goodness knows I have loads) or specific songs, drop me a line or leave me a note about here or something and I'll get back to you. c:

Right now, any song by All That Remains
*Indeed I am Spazzy, been playing for almost five years, and play 4, 5, and 6-string basses. I mostly play a Squire MB-4 bass, in the band my sister and I stared about three years ago, anyways, I'll be sure to look in to The GazettE.

"語れ!涙!" by Sex Machineguns. Speed metal, I like it, who knew.
I don't play anything special, I've had the same bass for something like six years-ish, now. It was a Christmas present I convinced my parents to get me several years back. 4-string Ibanez, bright red in color, and ******** do I love her sound. I affectionately named her Cherry shortly after I got her, haha~ I also steal my boyfriend's basses on occasion; they're both 4-string basses, and I don't believe there's really a name associated with them... I'm unsure, I don't play them often, usually only to tune them and put in the occasional bit of practice at college when I have time; they're not the right size or heft for me (not like anything really IS, I'm short so all guitars swallow me in size, but whatever).

Reach For The Stars - Opening Theme for Sonic Colors
Honestly, I didn't really like it at first. But after listening to it a couple times I found that it's actually a good song.

"SPICE" by Sex Machineguns. Oh my goodness, I could easily get high off the bass line of this song. Simple, but strong. I'm in love with it.

"Highway Star" by Deep Purple
*Spazzy... I see why you like the GazettE, they are freaking awesome. As for my bass playing, I just stay with the four strings, 5's are not too bad, and 6's are my least played (Too many strings for me to handle)*

"cold pray" by chariots.
I'm glad you enjoy them, Havok~ I've never played more than four strings, mostly because I don't know anyone that owns a five or six string bass... Then again, I only know a grand total of, ah, perhaps three people that own a bass period. Four strings is all I've ever really had a need for, though, so I don't really count it as much of a loss~

"海の雫" by exist†trace. Dear gods, it's an all-girl visual kei band... First I've ever come across; first with females period, actually. So I'm very surprised, but I love them~ Their bassist, she's killer. And, to my surprise, she plays a 5-string bass. Quite amazingly, might I add. Oh, why yes, yes I DID just fall in love with an all-girl VK band, (especially one of their guitarists, Miko...) so sue me. (Not really, I have no money...)

"SEX MACHINEGUN" by SEX MACHINEGUNS. Yes, I must be stylistically correct, it's an OCD thing.
@Dragons: I have a hardcore visual kei obsession. I believe it all started with Malice Mizer... Mana-sama~~ I still love him. It also started with BUCK-TICK and LM.C. To this day, my biggest obsession is still LM.C, haha~ ☆

"No one gets left behind & Death before dishonor" by Five Finger Death Punch "Painkiller" by Judas Priest
*I gotta say, those first two songs (the ones by FFDP) are my two favorites songs, because I use them as tributes to the friends and family members that have died over the past years from fighting in the war. On a different note, Spazzy, do you got any recommendations for J-rock songs?*

"Tree" by Vidoll. Vidoll are an... interesting group.
Spazzy suggests "RESONANCE" by exist†trace. And, well, pretty much any song by them is good. Let's see, what else is there that I'd suggest... "ZERO" by Alice Nine; "ROMANCE ~Incubo~" by BUCK-TICK; "『SWEET』 ≠ 『PAIN』" by ClearVeil; "Final Call" by D'espairs Ray; "Orion once again" by DELUHI. There's a veritable thousand more I could suggest (seriously), but I suppose I can leave it at that for now. You can always go through my posts in this thread; I don't generally post a song unless it's something I'd recommend to others. c:
