Rose could sense weakness, and fear. There was something else, but it made Rose very uneasy, she looked at Jaslyn and frowned at her, it was a pretty pitiful and sad look. She moved out of her chair and moved to the other chair next to Chloe. Very sneaky like, hoping she wouldn't get caught and have to explain herself. She set the book on the table and then continued to read it.

Jade heard the pop from the Professors wand and turned in his seat to face the front of the classroom again. As soon as he was all the way turned around he rose his hand and simply said
"Sorry sir and I was wondering is there anything imparticular we are supposed to be reading or doing? I am just eager to learn more about our history..."
When he finished speaking he laid his hand down on the table he was at.

She had not been part of the fight, but the teachers yelling had startled her. As she usually does when she is nervous the girl started to tap her finger lightly on her leg.

Sylvia Callahan ~Pureblood~ ~Ravenclaw~ ~First Year~ Like all of her other classes Sylvia had arrived early and had immediatly started pouring over her text book. Like all of her other books, she'd already read this one but it was always fun to read things over and over again. She hardly noticed the multitude of students entering as her eyes were glued to the pages of the very interesting book. History, while, not hands on, was still very fun to learn about. When the professor took the floor, Sylvia quietly and carefully closed her book. She listened quietly to the answers the students gave, silently agreeing with most of them. When the professor raised his voice Sylvia didn't even flinch, she merely just turned her head to watch the exchange before returning her attention to the professor. She was grateful she didn't have to stand up and talk in front of this class. Perhaps it implied that the professor did not care who his students were like the other professors did? Or perhaps he just felt that learning was more important than social introductions? ((OOC))

Today, we're going to go over the history of Hogwarts."
"Hogwarts was founded in the ninth to tenth century by its founders, Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. They came together to build the school due to increased suspicion of muggles and magic, and wanted to teach students without fear of prosecution. However, not all of them agreed on which students should be accepted into the school. Salazar Slytherin wanted to only admit purebloods, which was at odds with the other founders. He left the school, and never returned.
"Hogwarts was one of the finest institutes for magical learning by the thirteenth century, and together with Durmstrang and Beauxbatons, started the Triwizard Tournament. However, due to injuries and deaths resulting from the tournament, it was disbanded six centuries after it started. There have been many attempts to reinstate it, but none have been successful.
"More recently, the school has been the site for many different incidents in the last century. It was here that Voldemort learned his magic, and here that Harry Potter defeated him in the Battle for Hogwarts. It has also been the site for the most recent attempt for the Triwizard Tournament, and obviously remains a major school for magic today." He looked about the class. "Now I know that some of you may have questions, so don't hesitate to ask. I would be happy to answer them to the best of my ability." ----------------------------------

Newlyn walked in and sat by the window, relishing the warm sunshine coming in through it. She took out her book and notes, already feeling bored. Histiry had never beem of much interest to her. Her tutor had taught her most of it, but it had gone in one ear and out the other.

Jade soaked in all the information like sponge and he had so many questions it was hard for him to decide which to ask first. After a minute of contemplating what to ask he shot his hand in the air and asked
"I always wondered about this sir... What sort of proof is there that Salazar really left what if he just hunkered down in the Chamber of secrets plotting his revenge? I mean it takes months to hatch a basilisk egg and the chamber has never been fully explored so maybe he stayed there and left through a passage way when he wanted to leave."
When he was done speaking he lowered his hand and stared at the professor with rapt attention.

Chloe Clarisse
Hufflepuff
First Year   Location: History of Magic (Thursday: 8:00am to 8:45am) Last week in class there was a fight in class between two Slytherins. Chloe hoped that nothing like that would happen again this week in class. She knew that today was the day they were talking about the history of Hogwarts and oh man didn't she want that subject to show up. She was so happy about the day's plan that she had read through the book during breakfast that morning. Walking into class Chloe took a seat at the front. Placing her book on her desk she took out her parchment and quill and started making her notes for the day’s class. When Professor Powell figured they would have questions Jaden was the first that asked about whether Salazar Slythern really left the castle or if he stayed in the Chamber of Secrets. That was a good point was there really any proof. "Professor when Hogwarts was created how was it that the four founder’s decided upon what house a student was placed in? The sorting hat says it's based on our personality traits. Does that mean that the traits used for each house are the same as the founders who created them?" Chloe asked curiously after raising her hand. She had always wondered how the houses were determined and why it always made her question why students were placed into the house they were in, including herself. Sun sat through the lecture, trying his best to concentrate. At least the history lessons are much more interesting than the muggle counterpart, or he dozed off already. Learning about how Hogwarts came about, about its reputation, everything, it made Sun feel so honored to be attending Hogwarts today.

Eliora BlakeFirst YearSlytherin Eli came into the class just before lecture started and sat next to Jaden. She waved at Chance, saying he could sit with them as well, if he wanted. When lecture was over and the Professor asked about questions, Eli listened to Jaden's. She nodded. "I agree with Jaden, Professor. The books say there were other tunnels down in the Chamber that were never explored. What if there was a library, or potion's lab? Also, why would he leave if he really believed that it was correct that only Purebloods be able to go to Hogwarts?
