Rosie kept a hand over her mouth, partly to keep herself quiet, and mostly becasue of the realization that the man there was holding a bleeding pokemon.
Ray held fast though, and holding a hand up to keep them Still. Rosie wondered why at first, but it didn't take long to get in her head that the men knew where the pokemon were.

Kiss Kiss crouched in front of Rosie, eyes narrowing lightly but keeping still, ready for her directions.

Being on the inside of an illusion was a little disconcerting, having to trust in something that he couldn't observe for himself, but he was familiar enough with Zoroark's abilities to believe that Jacques was doing what he agreed to do. Bearing that faith, Luke continued alongside the assembly, keeping his pace up as Tenebrae continued ahead.

The sound of people speaking was unmistakeable in the otherwise quiet cavern, and Ray's gestured confirmed their numbers. Careful not to disturb any loose stones, Luke moved to view the collection of people and take stock of exactly who it was they were confronting. Given what little he knew of these people, most of his understanding stemming from the Jirachi's fearful memories and reactions, it was sadly unsurprising to see a wounded pokemon in their possession. What would have been most shocking was the extent of those wounds; there was nothing to call that but abuse. Instead, the most overwhelming realization was that that was a pokemon that Luke recognized: the yellow Mew that he hadn't seen since it had helped him nearly a year ago, that had inexplicably followed him to Grande Ile and responded in enthusiasm when had brazenly offered it a name.

There was a hand at his side on his Aggron's pokeball, and Ray's staying hand was all that kept him from opening it.

While Ray stuck as close to the wall as she could, Sera didn't even bother to do so. As long as she walked behind Jacques, she knew his illusion abilities would mask them from view and therefore saw no need to try and hide or be sneaky. She still tried to walk quietly, of course.

As they reached the end of the tunnel, the Zoroark stopped at the opening, his illusion spreading out a little past them so all the men would see was an empty, dark passageway - even though at least Jacques and Sera stood right out in the middle of the opening and would be completely visible to them without the dark-type's abilities. The various men and pokemon were noted - the Houndoom especially with a hint of envy - but the little yellow Mew caused some distant memory to start nagging at her in the back of her mind. For some reason she felt as if she should know the creature, and yet she didn't - maybe someone had told her about it once. Was it Luke? She honestly couldn't remember at this point, and even then that wasn't nearly as important as their present situation. Regardless, she took another step forward to peer around her Zoroark.

Giselle, on the other hand, didn't hesitate to float straight into the room of the cave, remaining invisible for now as she circled the men and their pokemon curiously. The shaky one was very familiar, and the Mismagius floated up to the side of his face. As quietly as she possibly could, attempting to produce a sound only he would hear (though she wouldn't be too put out if the others heard it too), the ghost-type uttered a soft, nearly inaudible, "eeeeee..." that wavered in pitch to make it sound even scarier. Or, at least, she hoped it did.

Nicolette followed the precession silently, her arms still around the Jirachi for as long as the legendary would stay with her - and she sincerely hoped it did, as carrying it gave her a good deal of comfort - but when they stopped, she wasn't sure she really wanted to look at what was ahead of them. Just listening frightened her enough.

There was a growl from where Lin stood as they watched the men and the pokémon.
The sound came, not from Gregson, who was wide eyed at the scene, but also slightly surprised by the noise, but from Lin.

They might not have been Rockets, but the sight of the Mew being treated in such a way was more than enough to earn them the same ire.

Jeeves, from his perch, turned a calm, but watchful eye toward his trainer.

Whatever the men were discussing more was cut off as again the man who had been previous startled let out a yell again, jerking away from where he was sitting with another yelp
"Man did you hear that!?" He gasped.
Startled, all four of the other men looked at him with wide eyes.

"Hear what?"

"Man are you sure your okay?"

The icy eyed man frowned and the group of men had their back turned to the group at this point.
"Alright alright, get him back tot he beds and lay him down." the man ordered with a deep frown
"Damn it we've been down here too long." He muttered with a hand reaching to to the back of his hair.

For a moment they stood in silence as the two tried to coerce their comrade down the hall, a good deal of swearing joining them, though their actions seemed pretty civil toward each other.

At this point the leader turned to face Gres, who was glowering in a state of puzzlement at the state of the startled man.
At the moment they made eye contact the blue eyed man spoke "Don't you let anymore of them die, Griffin's not going to be happy with any of this as it is, and I'm the one who's ganna get the s**t for it."
He cast a glance down to the Legendary in the man's grip, before he too turned to start away.

Gres let out a light snort, but nodded once, At once he tossed the small body to the side, carelessly onto the ground.
No sooner had he done that, then the Houndoom leaped after with a vicious hunger.

Somewhere within Luke there was an understanding that his physical impulses were probably not the most intelligent and that acting them would only be acting on the reckless tendencies that he had promised to try to curb. Those physical impulses didn't seem to recognize that understanding, however, and with an absence of regard for their situation or even for where Jacques' illusion ended, he strode steadily forward away from the group, taking his cane into his grip as though it were his familiar blade and swinging it suddenly and sharply at the Houndoom.

As the small legendary was carelessly tossed aside and the Houndoom made a dash for it, Jacques's ears perked straight up and he took a step forward. He created a second illusion, this time overtop of the fallen Mew, completely hiding it from sight or smell, causing it to effectively disappear from view for everyone for the moment.

Isabella, who had been waiting patiently at Sera's side, reacted at the same time her comrade did. The instant the Houndoom headed towards the Mew, she headed towards him. Regardless of the yellow legendary's visibility and regardless of Luke's actions, she burst out of the seemingly empty hallway and lunged for the other dark-type with a vicious snarl, claws ready and fangs bared. She knew quite well the difference between battling for sport and fighting to kill, and it was plain as day that the Houndoom's intentions were the latter - but that was a game she played often and had no qualms playing again if need be.

Agatha seemed incredibly eager to join, but Sera moved her foot out in front of the Sneasel's path to stay her, just in case. They didn't need a bunch of pokemon all running out at once, after all.

The Houndoom wasn't even paying attention to anything else but the meal he was promised, So when he was suddenly struck with something, it had caught him small in the side of the face, gearing him off the path of the Mew.

Barely having any time to right himself, the Houndoom then found an Absol descending on him. Though a gush of flames pored from his mouth, they were not aimed in time and instead gushed across the stone ground, as the Absol's wights and claws sank into him and he let out a high scream.

A moment of shock passed over the men standing in the hall, as they seemed to shuffle through the usual questions, who was this? and where the Hell had they come from?

Gres wasn't in question for long though, as the large man was suddenly charging toward Luke and swinging a fist out at the smaller male.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ray Didn't at all doubt that the group would sit by and let the Legendary die, Ray herself was on her feet, her pokemon starting to move past her when she paused at the swiftness of Luke's cane.
Izabella was on it next, driving the Houndoom even further away.
To her surprise, the people in the hall only hesitated for a couple more seconds before all four of them, with their pokemon took off.
She frowned, troubled by that, and stepped forward as well, peering down the hall. "crap..."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So sooner had the man advanced to Luke and swung a fist out to him than Rosie had let out a startled remark, that ended up being a command for her Raichu.
Kiss Kiss acted quickly, diving forward through the corridor, though she stopped moving before entering much of the battle, this time, a sing was directed at the attacking man.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Jirachi didn't move, shrinking back into Nicolette's arms, a slight shiver running through her body, though she didn't look away from the outburst of action.
As the Houndoom fell beneath her, Isabella didn't even think to let up on him, instead bearing down on him more, aiming her snapping jaws at his head or his neck to force him to stop.
Giselle remained invisible as she fled down the hall as well, pursuing the group of humans and their pokemon to wherever they were heading.
With several of the pokemon on the other side of the illusion as well as Luke, coupled with the disappearance of the other humans and their pokemon, Jacques made a face and dropped their illusion, instead suddenly shimmering out of sight himself. The man, Gres, would be able to see them now, but the Mew was still hidden out of sight just in case.
Nicolette had her eyes shut tight to avoid witnessing the battle, though as the Jirachi shifted in her arms, she held it closer to her.
Luke moved to take a half step back, both hands commanding his apparent weapon in an upward sweep aimed to deflect the attacking man's swinging arm. The cane was a far cry from the comfortable sword he'd always used in the past, but it was refreshing all the same to act on those familiar motions - though he doubted he would be able to keep it up for very long.
He would have liked to let more of his pokemon into the fray, but he was wary about lowering his guard long enough to do so, instead leaving his command to the Umbreon on standby, "Tenebrae, go!"
The dark-type readily obeyed, giving pursuit to the fleeting men alongside Giselle. He was no Jolteon, but the darkness was much more his turf than any electric-type's.
Gres was clearly not expecting to have his punch deflected so easily, not a punch like his, he was known for the punches he threw, and it was swept aside by a cane!? and a kid half his size no less!
Whatever happened next second, the man's eyelids started to droop, and his stance began to waver before he stumbled forward in another attempt to punch Luke. One was resulted in him falling forward onto the grown, snoring lightly.
From behind Luke, Kiss Kiss perked up, her ears fluttering happily.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Isabella would find the aria around her suddenly burning with the intensity of the Houndooms rage, as mouthful after mouthful of fire bellowed from the pokemon's mouth, trying to fight his way out from under the Absol.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Alright!" Ray snapped, turning to the trainers behind her "Alright get pokemon out, we've got a storm coming this way. Those guys didn't run off becasue they were scared, they're getting the others."
Double Stripe rolled his neck, in what would appear to be a flexing of shoulders if he had any.
Yeah, a kid half his size who was only using a cane because of a previously crippling spinal injury. Not that Luke was feeling particularly arrogant about it; it was a massive relief to see the man unconscious without further conflict, and he readily returned the cane to a position in which he could use it for its intended purpose. As he searched the ground for the legendary to ascertain its condition, he took note of the battle between the two dark-types, releasing Rem from her ball with a simple command, "Help."
Rem was less used to vague orders than the rest of her team, but it took only a moment's consideration to figure out what was expected of her. The Jolteon trotted over to the wrestling pair, crouching against the earth a safe distance from any stray blows and generating a careful Thunder Wave against the enemy Houndoom.
Isabella growled in frustration as the ground beneath her paws suddenly rose in temperature quite dramatically, so she left her prey and jumped away from the heated ground before swiftly turning to reassess her strategy. The Absol hardly noticed Rem, so focused was she on the Houndoom.
Jacques suddenly reappeared between Luke and the group, the yellow Mew held in his arms as he glanced around at the trainers expectantly, hoping one of them would take it from him.
A Mew? Was that a Mew? It was hardly even recognizable as a pokemon with all its injuries, but from what the men had said, it must have been.
After the yellow Legendary was thrown, things started happening very quickly again, and without warning. Akira was caught up once more in confusion as he tried to sort out what to do. He didn't dare ask Jeeves to do anything as he was Lin's pokemon. Besides, he wasn't sure what all the Snivy's moves were or if he'd even listen to him.
That just left Happa and Supercilious. In a fit of panic, particularly after Ray's urgent message, Akira let out both. He held up a hand and a look of distress when Silly came out, giving the Serperior some pause. He hadn't seen his trainer like that before. And where on earth were they?! It was so dark and smelly and he wanted to go back to his Luxury ball!
Akira seemed to read his thoughts. "I know you want to go back," he assured the grass-types - both of them, as Happa seemed pretty scared himself - "But I need you to do this one thing for me. You do this, you get three days off. No unexpected summons from me, nothing."
Silly seemed to consider this with his tail to his chin.
"We don't have much time," he spoke urgently, his voice quiet as he tried to speak away from the earshot of the others. "Do we have a deal or not?"
With a glare toward the fighting, Silly let out a grudging sigh before reluctantly nodding. He didn't like the look of all that fire...but three days was quite a while...
"Good. Then you work as a team," he told the pair. "Happa, I know you won't get status effects under sunlight, so do you think you can use Sunny Day?" Akira glanced to Silly. "That'd mean you could use Solarbeam fairly quickly, right?"
In response, the pokemon looked at Akira and then at each other. Happa stared worriedly at the fire-type not too far off, but he trusted his trainer. With something of a whimper, he used Sunny Day. Silly didn't understand too much of what the problem was, having been raised in as sheltered and ignorant as his trainer. Only the once wild Leafeon knew the affect the attack had on Grass-types as well as Fire-types.
It seemed Akira was more like those pokemon-ignorant city kids than he realized.
That little yellow pokemon was like the one Dove had been petting in the van on the way out to the desert. Wait... so was that a Legendary? He was rather too embarrassed by his lack of knowledge to ask and anyway, there were more important things going on like -
Like the Houndoom trying to kill it. That situation was soon enough dealt with but they would have another on their hands very soon.
Without room to let his last pokemon out the huge man turned to address the members of his team who were small enough to move around easily in the tunnel. "Alright," Dith nodded to his pokemon quickly, "all of you, be ready for whatever might come down that hall way. Teazer and Viktor be ready with a Fake Out, Yawn combo on whatever looks the most dangerous. Zla, have a toxic ready, Luna I want a Flash and be careful not to blind any of us."
As for himself, Dith shrugged off his backpack and tossed it out of the way and moved forward to stand alongside Luke and just behind his pokemon. He might not be expertly trained like Luke was but he'd boxed in his youth and always kept up the training, stepped it up since all of the mess with Team Rocket had started... on the other had this would be the first time he'd tried to do anything like this since being down half his field of vision. No help for it though, hopefully the pokemon would take care of things and he wouldn't even have to get involved personally.
