The rays of light began peaking over the many buildings that huddled close together as the sun began to rise, slowly eliminating the shadows that wrapped themselves around them. The sunlight made its way to illuminating one a two story building that sat at the corner of a group of other home and buildings. A sign was hung by the entrance, saying “Welcome to Jodan’s Sewing Shop”. The entrance door had a single panel window, with a small sign saying “Closed”. The sign would be flipped over to say “Open” when he was ready to open its door to anyone wishing to visit the shop.

The sunlight shone through the window in the second floor, illuminating the young blonde who lay in bed. He began to stir as he woke up to the blinding light, covering his face with the blanket. He groaned a bit as he slowly rise up, using the blanket as a shield from the light as he slowly began to swing is legs over the edge of the bed. A He rose up and dropped the blanket, stretching his body. He walked over to his closet as he yawned, wondering what today will hold. Maybe he’ll open the shop today? He already has a few orders that he managed to complete, and he was sure those customers were waiting eagerly for them. Or maybe he’ll train some more? But he could do that later in the day if he wanted to. He grabbed some clothes to change into and moved to the bathroom located next to his room. He was definitely needing a bath after yesterday’s fiasco.

He and Amara had gone their separate ways after they conversed for a bit, as he was fairly tired at the time. The sound of water pouring from the faucet into the tub could be heard, the steam slowly rising up. Then he slowly submerged himself into the warm, relaxing water after he had filled it up to a reasonable level. He allowed himself to close his eyes for a moment, thinking about what Amara had said before they parted ways. The idea of doing all that for training sounded a bit ridiculous to him, and probably something he wouldn’t want to attempt. But perhaps the two training together wouldn’t be such a bad idea. The idea of him even attempting to break boulders was ridiculous, and something he wouldn’t be able to do. What was Amara even thinking? The image of Jodan attempting such a thing popped into his mind, and the result leaving his hand red and swollen. Then he imagined himself attempting to dodge firey arrows. It ended up in a cartooney result of arrows sticking out of him in various places. He couldn’t help but let out a chuckle at such things.

After some time, he grabbed a towel to dry himself and got dressed. He wiped the fog from the mirror to get a good look at himself in his outfit. He let out a small smile as he seemed pleased with how he looked. However, his eyes did not show that usual sparkle like it usually does. His eyes seemed a bit dulled. Despite the new day, the effects of yesterday still lingered. He still felt upset over the loss of a new dear friend of his. Even if Amara tried to cheer him up last night, it will still take some time before he can get over it. He shook his head to clear those thoughts and left the bathroom, making his way down the stairs into his shop.

He made his way to the entrance and flipped the Closed sign to the Open sign, so that anyone passing by will see that his shop is now open for the time being. He then moved his way around the counter, checking the various boxes of garments containing the orders he had finished up, ready to be picked up by whoever requested them. For now while he waits, he pulled out a sketch pad and a pencil, beginning to work on some concept designs for different outfits. It has proven useful for giving suggestions to various people who aren't a hundred percent sure of what they wanted.

The sound of muffled voices is what caused her to open her eyes. Her vision was blurred, but she noticed that it wasn’t as dark as before. Immediately right after, she noticed someone besides her normally she’d freak out, but she felt oddly tranquil. The man was dark skinned with ashen hair, but that was all she could managed to note as her sight was still fuzzy. He wanted to help her, she wanted to know how he could have seen her. She tossed the thought away knowing that it wasn’t what was important right now. If she lived or died was no longer in her hands, she would trust this man. Her body became visible to the eyes of the strangers, as it did she weakly lifted her left hand away from the wound on her right shoulder. Her azure eyes remained on the stranger and although she wanted to talk to him she found herself being veiled by darkness once again.

The Angels were watching and Death will be waiting. Until the right time.

                    • Today was a big day for the Shield siblings. After several months of remodeling and finalizing changes in their business plan, The Wooden Shield Tavern was ready to be re-opened to the public. Placed in the outskirts of the city, it had been well-known for quite a time as a great welcoming place for new, bright-eyed adventurers from far down south. The owners and founders of the place had run it for over five hundred years, so it came as a surprise to many when they seemed to suddenly decide to place the ownership of the tavern in the hands of their daughter, a stern and young-in-appearance woman with far less charisma than her parents. It also came to a surprise to the locals when she made the decision to close the tavern for three months for re-modeling. It was a bustling drinking place with cheap prices and a place for those who had yet to make their way into The Dragon Castle. Closing the place down for the first time in its 500 years of being an establishment brought a huge blow to the activities of many local drunks.

In Lacie's eyes, it was worth it. Having not slept a wink throughout the night, she placed final touches throughout the entire tavern from the cellar to the roof. Her hard work and dedication to the upkeep of the tavern was noticeable to many of the tavern's neighbors. Early into the dawn of the day, quiet thumping could be heard atop the roof, last minute fixes to various broken shingles being made by the girl. After sweeping the floor of the main tavern floor, the sun had begun to shine through the windows, creating an ambient aesthetic as it hit the matte wooden floorboards. Small particles of dust caught up in the air from Lacie's consistent sweeping can be seen gently floating in the light, giving the tavern keep a more calm sensation as she paused in her work.

In the meantime, the eldest Shield child Markus had yet to rise out of bed. Unlike his sister, he was not given any particular amount of responsibility concerning the place. It was not as though he was irresponsible. It was simply that he was less responsible than his sister. Not to mention he had little to no ambitions on running such a place. While the bright haired man has shared quite a bit of time in his fair share of far off taverns, he preferred having no strings of liabilities holding him from fleeing off again into the next adventure life takes him. It was due to this that Lacie only placed small chores in Markus' hands. Restocking the food shelves, buying the best local ale their inheritance could buy, picking out the perfect new comforter and pillow sets fit for their tavern. Anything concerning frivolous fashion and tastes, Markus could do with a dedication his sister never could.

Without so much as a knock on the door, Lacie opened Markus' bedroom and opened the window blinds. With both of their rooms being in the cellar, the light mostly came from a small window embedded in the higher part of the walls. What little light shone through was enough to strike Markus' face, causing him to stir slowly awake. Lacie had no time for slow, however, and gently shook the larger man.
"Markus, today's the opening day. You need to help me out here," She said, sounding vaguely distressed. It was enough to cause the man to slowly open his vibrant red eyes, only to wince from the light and close them again, covering his face with his arm before sitting up and re-opening his eyes in the shadow where the beams of light can't reach them.

"What...yaaawn...what is it?" Markus asked softly, his deep voice sounding even lower with the groggy tone he presented. He didn't seem too bothered by the wake up call, having been used to having a sister for as long as he had existed. Lacie seemed to show a hint of nervousness under her generally calm composure as she looked at her brother.

"As...the new owner, I might have to...give a speech perhaps. However, I have been told that I can seem a bit...brutish to some people."

"And by some people, you mean all people."

"Oh quiet!" Lacie huffed, obviously offended by the small joke. "Anyways...I was hoping on spending more time today practicing my lines for the re-opening tonight. In the meantime, could you go and get fresh produce from the market after you do your performance?" She asked, a small plead hinted in her wide, deep blue eyes. Markus smirked and shuffled her head of hair before nodding.

"No problem. You need all the practice you can get," He teased as he pushed himself out of bed, having only worn a pair of shorts in his sleep last night. Lacie gave a small thank you before dipping quickly out of his room and into her own right next door to practice. Markus was quick to get dressed, having already picked out his outfit the night before. Regarding himself as a man of good fashion tastes, his clothes came from a highly regarded tailor from Carrion Hill, his last adventure which ended with only vague success. The ancient beast disturbing the city had been defeated, but not until after it killed three of Markus' companions for the mission. The city thanked him by giving boons, gold, and anything money can buy. He accepted, of course, allowing his vanity to often get the best of him; however he decided it was time for him to return to a simpler life for now. It was the main reason why he had no issue helping his sister with something as small as picking up groceries and planning a performance in whatever he can configure is the town square.

Markus almost stepped out of the tavern, but quickly stopped beforehand and grabbed a bracelet from the countertop. It was a highly decorate pure silver bracelet (which looked more like a small arm bracer) with a cross-variant sigil embedded into it with what seemed to be "blessed opal". It was the only thing which would keep the constant sensation of death looming over him. It was a blessed bracelet, with two sister bracelets, made by a family friend who realized only recently that holy items were the only way to help the Shields family with their plight of bad impressions due to their demon blood. In return for the aura of death to not follow them around, however, their powers are sealed for as long as they wear it. It was a compromise Markus was more than willing to make as he left the tavern--locking it behind him--with a grin on his face.

The vampire stepped away while she let Gurkiran tend to the being who was camouflaged. The sun now had come out and she waited impatiently for her to appear. The vampire also observed the mess around them. "I wonder what happened...." Just then a woman appeared before them. Yes.... This is perfect....Ichka gave them some room as she explored the site. Her mind was elsewhere as she planned out her little plot for amusement on a rainy day.
While exploring the first thing she found was some interesting goggles. Ichka picked them up gingerly. I wonder if others know about her....is she being prosecuted? She turned back to look at the other two. She would have to question the woman once she was nursed back to health. Ichka sniffed the goggles. It had an interesting scent. She placed the goggles in her pouch and made her way to the vehicle. Blood that definitely did not belong to their new soon to be friend was found. As if bodies were being dragged out. She touched the blood. It had pretty much dried up. Whoever had been there was long gone. So maybe...she's not the target...just wrong place wrong time? The vampire sighed as she made her way back to Gurkiran and the woman.
"How is she doing?" Her voice was calm and sweet. Ichka kneeled down in front of the ashen-haired woman. She placed a piece of cloth around her that she had found near the wreckage."This should keep you warm" She took out a flask of water and put in near the lips of the girl. "You'll be okay.....Did you patch up her arm Gurkiran? "

Waking up to a groggy sensation, as though hungover from a restless night, she couldn't even remember why or what she even what her dream was about. Her hair a tangled mess, she is quickly greeted by a knock on her door. Looking towards the sound- "Come in" She spoke as though a toad was in her throat. Clearing her throat as her lady in waiting came inside to address her. My lady, it is half past morning, the sun is already risen.... The soft spoken woman stated. Aliyah, streached out her arms before rolled out of bed. Her hair slumped behind her in its tangled mess, and walked over to her Boudoir, sitting herself upon the pearl colored stool, and waited for her lady to come and assist her. The young woman bowed her head, she then motioned her hand for some house maids to go ahead and prepare a pale with water, a wet cloth, and soap, and proceeded to address her lady Aliyah by starting with brushing her hair. As the tangles came out, the house maids were already giving her a bath, cleaning off the dirt, and blood that had stained her the night before. Aliyah knew the daily routine, being of royalty comes with its annoying perks. As Aliyah pointed to her closet where her preferred armor would be, her Lady in waiting kindly held out a beautiful red dress accented with white and gold trimming, to represent chastity, availability, and new beginnings. "Whats the meaning behind that....flirtatious dress!?" Aliyah questioned . She didn't care for courtship, that and she made a deal with her family that when he retires she will marry. Oh! You have a family reunion, you were to be notified as soon as you got back......but you were gone so late, no one was available to relay the message so- "I see......My appologies....." The lady in waiting started but Aliyah cut her off shortly. The young Paladin stood up, and allowed the other servants undress her, and prep her up for suiting, including the makeup as well. When they were done, Aliyah looked in the mirror, and saw her reflection as though it was for the very first time. "Who will be at this gathering?" Your three uncles;Sir Lanister, Sir Revan, and Sir Ban of the Eastern lands, two of your aunts; Madam Kyda, and Esther, who is with child. Of course all of your cousins, nephews, and nieces, and finally your grand parents.....And your mother and father of course. "Any one else?" Just other neighboring Dukes, Duchess, and the other neighboring royal families.... Aliyah and her lady in waiting spoke the rest of the formalities so that, even with last minute notifications, she would be able to converse with her family knowing the information she knows now, rather than go in blindly, and look like a buffoon.

Escorted into the banquet hall, heads turn to face Aliyah as she is announced to the group in the room. Majority turn their heads back to their companions, while few still remain on her, especially the few men in waiting. Her parents come up, and greet her with loving arms, and kisses. "Father." Aliyah pouted. He laughs, and mentions how it's been ten, gruesome long years since they last had face time, and he wanted to make sure to embrace her as much as he could. Her mother felt the same way, but she also was still the same as ever the moment she mentioned some of the counts suitors that were free for the taking. Aliyah sighed heavy, already feeling annoyed with the pestering. The paladin wasn't acting nor ever was a spoiled child, that's not with this is, she wanted away from this kind of life, it's way she took up arms, and continue to fight! This is just a trap she could have easily avoided if someone had came for her in the night! That's right, Aliyah, as her father put it, had been avoiding not them exactly, but their parties, their masquerades, or other forms of gatherings because of her mothers persistence in finding a well off man to marry her, that and she wants a granddaughter, what mother doesn't expect that of their daughter? Her mother went ahead, and excused herself from the two to go find such suitor, and introduce them to Aliyah, who was engrossed with her fathers war stories of old. The other elderly that joined in in mid tale would even chip in on some of their experiences fighting alongside her father, and everyone would laughed. This is what Aliyah missed the most when her father would visit...but it seems so fleeting now. Her mother returns with a rather handsome young lad, she mentions how his father is one of the Sargent in the queens court guard, Aliyah rolled her eyes. "I need a drink, excuse me." She said in a rather i-don't-care attitude. Excusing herself, she walked away from her mother, and past someone holding a whine glasses, and took it for her self. Usually you should sip, and savor the taste, but Aliyah, without thinking, downed it in one go. She even went as far as leave the gallah, and head down the hall alone. It was as if she was on auto pilot, and founded herself back in her bedroom. She was done with morning pleasantries, and needed fresh air. Undressing to redress in her suit of armor, and headed back outside.

Walking along the courtyard of Dragon castle, she was reminded of her probation period, and is to reframe from taking up any mission, she still had high authority among most in the castle, but not as much as her knight commander. She looked up to the captain, with love, and devotion. No not that kind of love, but more or less the kind that is seen as appreciation for all that the captain has done for her, Allowing her to have risen to the ranks not by her families title, but on her own, through thick, and mud, sweat and blood. She was proud to be the Paladin that she is now. Aliyah decided to head out of town on her, I guess you could call this her day off, and went to a local tavern of sorts, and noticed a male figure with....pink hair? "Oh, Is the tavern closed then?" Aliyah asked a bit absent minded. Then again, the wine from earlier was just now kicking in, and she could feel a light buzz, though she would never show it.

In the previous night, she conversed on a more serious level with Hiyama, and made some clarifications as to the even that transpired, as well as a better understanding of her blood magic without giving away to much information, she wants to keep him as a friend and on good terms, so for now, she withholds some information from him. Girls have their secrets, and Cairalei has way to many. After each departed, of course she tried to stay in the same room, and bed as her only friend, but was rather escorted to her own bed chambers, more like small space for someone who doesn't have time for you. Playing hard to get eh? Two can play at that game, yet knowing Hiyama, what little she knows of him, her actions would just be dusted off since he isn't interested in her like that, not like how she is with him.

In her sleep, she was tossing and turning. In her dream, she saw a human male, most likely the one who escaped on the demons back. She heard chanting echoing, with demonic/distorted echoing each line he spoke. Cairalei turned to the other side, crying in her sleep, gripping her chest tightly as she found it hard to breath. In her dream, she saw Elbrus walk up next to the human, wording something without the sound of his voice. The chanting and echoing grew louder. The female elf tossed in her sleep again crying out louder. In her dream, Elbrus stopped in mid sentence, and locked eyes with Cairalei, in this instance, the chanting, the echoing of voices stopped, and all that was heard was a faint white noise. "You" She heard his voice sending chills up her spine, and soon after, an over lap, high pitched scream.

Cairalei to jump into reality, and sit up quickly as if she had seen a ghost. Her whole body was covered in sweat, she frantically touched her forehead with her right hand, and gripped at her chest with her left, breathing in heavy, and fast. Once she realized that she was in the spare room at dragon castle, her breathing began to slow down. "Just another dream." The image of Elbrus, and them locking eyes, the memory of him made her a fluster. But why? She felt excited but not in the happy kind, in the lustful, daring kind. The elf pushed her bangs back, closed her eyes, and sighed out heavily. "I need answers......He makes my skin crawl!...." She tried to convince herself, but in honesty, there has to be some kind of connection between them, and it might be through the forbidden blood magic.....was thi curse demonic....if so.....was it he who created it?......Is that why she is having these crazy dreams that have no meaning?

Shaking off the feeling, the young elf hopped out of bed, began to disrobe herself, and start up a bath. While in the bathroom, all sounds blocked out by the running water, as a scullary maid walked in, and saw clothes scattered on the floor, she suspected them to be dirty, and of course they are. So, thinking it was okay to take them, piece by piece, she gathered Cairalei clothes, and left the room to go wash them. In the bathroom, the young female, slipped into the hot bath, and began to play with the bubbles. Even though she is a grown woman, sh is rather simple minded, and take the easy route, if not the fun way of life.

Once she was all washed up, Cairalei went to grab something to dry herself with, only there was nothing. And when she decided to just get dressed in her dirty clothes......they were gone. "What the.......WHAT!?" She screamed at the end. Wet, naked, and frantically looking for her clothes, no results were found. She flopped on her bed, all in distress as she tried to think why her clothe were missing. So, she sulked her way out of bed, and made her way to the door, slightly peeking her head out, luckily she caught one of the maids. "Ah! Excuse me, miss. Um, my garments seemed to be missing?" The maid was confused at first then recollected seeing one of the assistance come in to collect and clean. This gave Cairalei some peace of mind, and excused herself back in the room, closing the door behind her.

Well, she wanted to go see Hyiama, but not like this! She saw the small blanket on her bed, and thought to wrap it around her like a towel, and decided that this was good enough, though highly inappropriate! Leaving the room, she looked left to right, luckily the coast was clear, and began roaming the hallways, not knowing which way He would be located. "Oh Hiyama~ I need to speak with yoooou~" Cairalei cooed loudly, hoping he would come to her.

[[ OOC: Not controlling anyones character, she was just having a dream, this did not actually happen, just wanted to clear that up before misunderstandings ]]

        Gurkiran "the Windbreaker" Talem
        ▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂▂

Gurkiran tended to the mysterious being's needs steadfast. Quickly reaching within his satchel and pulling out a few vials, and a cloth, Gurkiran tended to her wound. He uncorked the first vial and began to pour it's content onto the rag. Gurkiran looked into the woman's eyes with a bit of discomfort, as he realizes that what he was about to do might hurt him more than the woman. "Alright, so I soaked this cloth in a disinfectant. It is to make sure your wound does not cause you to contract an illness of some kind. Prepare yourself. The feeling... is not so pleasant." He said reluctantly. "I am going to count to five, ok? On five, I will press it against your wound." Gurkiran takes a deep breath before proceeding and closes his eyes. "One. Two." The counting stopped as he immediately presses the cloth against the wounded woman's shoulder. Gurkiran felt bad for surprising her with the sudden charade of trickery, but it was for her best interests.

After a few moments, with the pain seemingly to subside, Gurkiran continued his efforts and began to bandage over the cloth to stop her from bleeding out excessively. With the completion of the treatment, Gurkiran fell back on his hands and let out a relieving sigh. He looked at Ichka, surprised to see her being so kind and sympathetic. The fact that she was helping her as well really welled up a feeling of fondness within Gurkiran. He wanted to mutter the statement of: "You know, for killing guards remorselessly, you are rather kind.", but he figured that would not suit the situation well towards this stranger during this point in time. Gurkiran looked at Ichka once more. "She should be fine. Might need to rest for a bit before she has the strength to get out of her, but I really appreciate your help Ichka. Did not know you could be so sympathetic." He chuckled to himself. Gurkiran then turned towards the mysterious woman, with an eager look on his face. "What happened? Who did this to you?" He asked, very curious about her situation.

    • xxxJust as soon as Markus had locked the tavern front door and turned around, a seemingly buzzed woman in armor had stopped to peer at the establishment. "Oh, is the tavern closed then?" She asked. She was definitely beautiful, but he was quick to decipher her armor as a symbol of her status as a soldier. While he admired soldiers, generally he would avoid with flirting in an overbearing amount towards them. Not only do the females remind him far too much with his sister, but many of them keep their disciplined personality alongside them in more than one aspect of their lives. Being a courteous man who enjoys aesthetic pleasure, however, he still kept his intentions of causally flirting with such an attractive individual. Markus ruffled his untied, flowing hair, smiling softly at the woman in an act of innocence.

"My apologies, Miss. our grand re-opening isn't until tonight,"
He started, however the sudden glint in his eyes caused the tone of his deep voice to change altogether. "However, I assure you that the wait in the meantime will be worth it. Us here at the Wood Shield have been working tirelessly to make the tavern more modern-esque, so women as ethereal as yourself can feel more comfortable." The idea of Markus helping remodel was a blatant bluff. Lacie was the only person to dedicate any time to the place in recent months, with their parents out of the city to "visit relatives". Had Markus actually assisted, the tavern would have been reopened at least an entire month early, but alas the woes of his sensitive nature kept him from doing so. However, that wouldn't stop Markus from using the concept as a way of making him seem like a hard-working man. He bowed in front of the woman.

"I would normally offer to entertain you regardless of our status as a tavern; I am the performer here, after all. However, I do have other matters to unfortunately attend to. My apologies, Miss...perhaps you would know where the marketplace is?" He asked gently, slowly rising his body from his impeccably graceful movement of a bow. xxx

After having parted ways with the female elf, Hiyama had remained up for a few hours to write up some reports in his room before retiring to bed. Having done this for so long, he was used to having little sleep, and has knowledge of spells for lack of sleep. He usually sleeps wearing black leggings, and would leave his clothes folded neatly next to the door for the maids to collect and clean. He had risen up out of bed some time before the sun rose up, the light shining through the window of his room. He could feel the warm rays hit his bare chest, taking in a deep breath. He seemed to enjoy doing this sort of thing, as it feels calming. He heard a knock on his door and turned out, finding one of the maids had returned with clean clothes, his usual attire. He nodded his head in thanks as the maid bowed and left to resume her other duties.

He quickly changed his clothes and proceeded back to his desk, to write up a letter. The previous night was draining for HIyama. Having to deal with the stress of Elbrus being revived, and then the whole deal with Cairalei. Why she keeps wanting to act all friendly like that towards him is beyond him. Is she purposefly trying to press his buttons, or would she have some sort of infatuation with him? He shook his head to clear his thoughts, as he laid the pen down and folded up the now completed letter. He placed the letter in beige colored envelope, and placed a wax seal on it with the Dragon Castle insignia on it. As he got up, he paused for a moment, eyes staring at the ring Cairalei had given him the night before. He still wondered why she would want to give him something as valuable as this? He quickly picked it up and placed it on his left middle finger, and proceeded out the door with letter in hand.

He moved out towards the Sanctuary when he came across one of the scouts carrying a messenger bag. “Ahh, you there!” He called out to the young lad. “Just the person I was looking for.” He walked up the man as he paused, asking what is it he wanted. “Are you familiar with where the Von Vager residence is?” Hiyama questioned. THe young man replied with a nod and a yes. Hiyama held out the letter for him to take. “Very good, would you be so kind as to deliver this there? It is of utmost urgency, so please make haste.” With a quick bow, the young scout left with the letter now in his possession and would make his way towards the stables, where he would find a horse to take for fast travel.

Hiyama watched until the scout was out of view, and turned on his heel. Then he paused as his ears twitched. He could faintly hear someone calling his name. Even before his mind registered who that voice belonged to, he already knew who it was. What could she possibly want now? He followed the voice and rounded a corner, and came face to face with the female. However, he stopped dead in his tracks, as he saw that she seemed to only have a blanket covering her. His eyebrow twitched, his mouth hung open, as if to say something, but no words came out. This was not something he expected. After several seconds passed, he broke his eye contact on her, glancing off to the side. “Wha… What is the meaning of this?” He spoke in a rather irritated hushed tone.

`·.¸¸.♡║Hours had ticked by, the minutes seeming only like seconds. Amara’s crimson eyes watching, from the mirror, everything that she had done to herself, not leaving the vanity until everything was perfect. From the very top of her head to her tip toes.
‘Hair’ “Check”
‘Makeup’ “Check”
‘Outfit made by Jodan’ She stood from her seat as a smile formed on her lips. Her body twirled around once making the dark aqua dress lift and spin with her. “Cheeeeck” her voice chimed happily. It had been awhile since she’d focus on her appearance, but she was visiting Jodan today, it seemed absolutely necessary. Well, she also had to go and study. She needed to learn everything she could about location spells, not that it was something that was on top of her list. Amara did a quick pat on her thigh, checking for the knife that was nestled inside the garter she was wearing underneath the dress. “Okay Amara don’t you go and be clingy. Walk in and act like a proper lady,” the woman nodded to herself. She turned, walking over to her bed to pick up a small black messenger bag. Placing it over her shoulder she walked out the door, locking it with a key she placed back in her bag. Her home was small, containing one bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom and small living room. It was a five-minute walk to the nearest neighbor, but she enjoyed the space.

As she started her stroll her mind began to freely wonder over the events of last night. ‘Elbrus, a demon who was sealed away. He ain't sealed no more’ she clutched the strap of her bag ‘Thinking about that demon, I don’t have much time left’ her face looked slightly pained ‘I need to see Hiyama today. I need those souls. I don’t want to risk people’s lives’ she shook her head and raised it realizing how close she was already. ‘I wonder what Jodan would think of me if he knew’ she came to a halt, the thought leaving her hollow inside. She didn’t like the eyes full of fear and disgust on her. Her feet began to move once more, she was doing her best to avoid contact with anyone. The cursed female was starting to regret coming out at all. She had come this far, she was not going turn back around. Especially not when her ruby hued eyes were staring at the sign that read ‘Open’. Exhaling a deep breath, she opened the shops door with a huge smile on her face. Her eyes happily landing on the dapper man behind the counter. The woman’s heart thumped within her chest as she neared him “G-good morning Jodan,” she twirled a piece of her hair as she shyly tore her eyes away from him ‘W-We’re practically matching!’ she thought happily to herself.

The woman’s eyes shut down tightly as she scrunched up her face from the stinging pain that radiated on her shoulder. The pain came 3 seconds earlier than promised, but she knew that was for the best. She tried to think of anything she could to distract her, but the pain shattered everything she could think of. Lucky for Lumis, it didn’t last long and aside from a slight throbbing sensation, she was fine. When she opened her eyes, she could now see a blonde female besides her, she had stunning sun kissed eyes and a rather large set on her. Lumis thought herself fortunate to be found by two kind strangers. She pulled the piece of fabric closer to her cold body and she drank very little water, not wanting to take all of something that was not hers, no matter how thirsty she was.

Lumis remained silent until she could find the strength to talk, but she would leave a few details. After all, telling strangers that you were being hunted was something better to be kept in secret. “I was out on a job collecting the brain’s of some slimes. I met a woman named Serban. Coming back from the mission we were attacked,” she looked over to the vehicle that was still pinned to the trees “One of her ally’s came in search of her, we attempted to flee,” she paused remembering what had happen yesterday “We hit a fallen tree and I was launched from the vehicle,” her voice became softer as her eyes began to burn “B-by the time I managed to get back on land, they had taken them,” she sniffled, her breath becoming shaky. Had she used her powers in a timely manner she wondered if things would have played out differently. “Th-Thank you,” she looked back at both strangers attempting a smile. Lumis figured that she would have been dead if she had been alone any longer.

Finding her stance, and fixed her posture, Aliyah watched as the male turned to her attention when addressed. Something about him was bewitching. It wasn't in a dangerous way for her to be cautious of, but rather wow he's handsome kind of admiration. Yet, the longer she watched his facial features, and expressions, the more raised the question....she's never seen him in town before. It is possible that he might be new to the area, and hasn't registered yet, that or he has, and her elders decided not to inform her her on her so called day off....probation really but besides the point, she wanted to keep the buzz going. Looking off to the side, she let out a disappointed sighed. "I see..." Aliyah trailed off, but looked back to him as he continued. "Us?" She questioned, was he married? No, no ring that she could see anyway. Maybe a business partner or relative? She felt her cheeks turn a bright pink, and was caught off guard when he had called her, ethereal. "I'm sure when you open, it'll be lovely, and a performer no less." She replied back rather amused. And to top it off, he bowed! He actually knows the adequate law of today's day-in-age society, with the whole ranking system. First you have the royal court, the mayors family, villagers, and then then common rabble. It's only polite and expected of anyone to bow before those who are of higher class than you, and to return the courtesy. It's only polite. She returned the bow with a small smile, which is very rare coming from someone who is always strict, and very captain like....even though she IS vice captain to the knight commander of the royal court guards! "Aliyah Hearthorn...." She introduce herself rather late. Taking a step to the side, she turned her head behind her, perhaps she could return at a later date, but after him asking where the market place was, it would be in the same direction for her to return to the barracks.....but she would hate to impose...."Well, it would be along this road, and since I'll be heading that way any way, I could show you the way?" Aliyah offered, and turned her attention back to the pink haired man.

a** the young elf came to a long hallway, she was enthralled with how the drapes were so decorative over the windows on her right side. Sh walked over to them to see outside, and saw the courtyard, wondering if he was there. Smiling, as she watched the solders train, reminded her of the good old days, when she was with her clan, how they traversed in the woodland area in caravans, how the hunters paired up to hunt for the season, and by the camp fire, children would gather to hear the old cormick tales of old. Or how the Keeper would teach her the ways of being a leader, going through each scroll, each rule, and old testament, even learning the language. Heck, she remember one elf in particular that she had an eye for, she had long wild black hair, her name escapes Cairalei, but she was the herbalist who took care of the injured or sick. During those simple times seem like heaven now. Oh how she misses everyone, and regrets even learning this curse, this blood magic!

However, Cairalei heard the shuffling of one set of feet, and quickly turned her attention to it's owner to see that it was Hiyama himself. She held the blanket with her left hand, and her right remained on the window. Staying silent, she noticed that he was staring which caused her to lightly blush, but her blush only reddened when he realized what she was only wearing, and had looked away. "They took my clothes so....." She looked down to the blanket that's wrapped around her curved frame, and tried to match his hushed tone of voice so that no one would come or listen. Looking back up to him, he calmed down a bit, and started to close in the distance between them until she was standing right in front of him. Her eyes drifted downward from looking at him, and took notice of the ring. Her heart skipped a beat with joy. See the ring on his hand made her lightly blush again.

"I need to speak with you in private.....is there some place safe where we can be alone?......" She took a step closer, she reached with her free hand, and lightly held his hand with the ring she gave him. Slowly she lifts her gaze to look at his face that still avoided her, but her expression changed as to the reason from earlier. "I fear someone might be listening in.........Please." It may come off as her about to confess her love or something or give herself to him, but this was serious, it was in regards to the dream, or rather dreams she has been having ever since the curse, and now more so after the recent event from yesterday.

As the morning came, the birds chirping in the brisk air, it was time to open shop. A unique smithy located within the Market place, surrounded by all sorts of oddities. Lifting up the tarp, a rather large orc of 7ft tall, stands holding the support beam to hold the cloth upright. Getting some on lookers with either interested expressions, hatred, and scared. Which makes sense, seeing as how he is an Orc, and they normally don't have the best of reputations among humans.... or anyone for that matter. Once he dusted the place, and made everything look presentable out in the open in her shop, he sat himself upon the small stool, and began working on crafting short swords to sell, since last week he made morning stars, great swords, and pikes. His warg sniffed the air, the fresh smell of burning wood came to his attention, and with a stretch, and yawn, he stood up on all fours, and headed down from his resting place to accompany his master. He stood as tall as a horse if not taller, and laid himself next to his owner with a low growl. Xago placed down the hammer to pet his companion with a small smile before going back to work.

Ichka observed the Vita with excitement in her eyes. The scent of the blood intoxicating her. Calm yourself... patience is vital..... She smiled sweetly towards Gurkiran "Good I'm glad to hear that." She chuckled and helped the frail woman sit up as stroked her head attempting to comfort her, making sure her skin didn't touch hers. "I'm not as heartless as you think Gurkiran" She watched as the stranger consumed little water. "Drink my dear... you must be dehydrated"

Ichka soon heard Gurkiran ask stranger exactly what she wanted to hear. Her eyebrow arched as she listened intently to the stranger's tale. "So then.... you were never the target?" Ichka asked curiously. If the answer was no then that would be happiness to her ears the more no one knew of her existing the easier her plans would be. She looked at the sniffling female. Ugh...is this bratty little turd really about to start crying? the vampire gaze softened even more "Shhh... Don't cry... We'll keep you safe...how about... you tell us your name hun?." Ichka's golden eyes turned towards Gurkiran as she smiled at him as well. "This guy over here...is actually pretty strong believe it or not.... and I don't think I'm much of a push over, so just calm yourself and rest for now until you feel you're ready to get out of here. I'm sure neither he or I would mind carrying you if we must, right?" Her voice was playful in hopes to put the woman more at ease. "Once you recover.... I'm sure you can eventually look for your friends"

Ichka made sure to keep an eye out for anybody coming back to finish the job or clean up the mess. She wanted to pry out more information out of the woman, but in her current state, the vampire figured it was hardly a good idea.
