Prince Tousa of Darinest

Tousa waited until Anja was done serving herself and he then put some food into his own bowl, sipping at it and giving a nod. It was serviceable and just about what he had expected. Bland but filling.

He lowered the bowl and looked at her. "I've seen your hand to hand. Definitely a challenge against you." He stated before taking another sip. "You stated that Lycan have greater endurance than humans which might be why you can take such a fighting style up."

Tousa then let out a yawn and glanced over at the village. "What do you know of the war?" Tousa asked suddenly. "What it's about, why we're fighting."

Tousa gave a nod and took another sip of his soup. He was eating rather slowly. He then glanced up at the moon and continued his slow eating and thinking. "You realize that politics play a part in it? Money for the people? Land in which their sons and daughters can take and farm. Industry that can grow. That's usually what wars are about. An expansion for the people to use. This war isn't that though."

He glanced over. "This war is a more personal matter. For both me and my father. My sister was killed while acting as an envoy to the kingdom of Bolska, the country we are currently at war with. A selfish reason, but one that to me is worthwhile."

He set the bowl down and stretched before moving to his horse and pulling his bedroll off the back of the saddle. "Well, you're first watch right?"

Tousa glanced as she walked up the hill a bit and gave a small, quiet nod, moving to kick some dirt onto the fire and then unroll the bedroll, laying it as flat as possible on the ground. After that was done he finished his soup and set the bowl next to the fireplace, his spear laying parallel to him and in arms reach.

Once everything was in order he simply crawled into bed and pulled out the dried flower again, rolling it between his fingertips for a moment before setting it down on the tip of the spear and closing his eyes. Tomorrow was going to be even longer than today, he just knew it.

It did not take Tousa long to fall asleep, and while he was sleeping, it did not mean he did not make noise. It was not a snore either, but simply incoherent murmurings under his breath. Nuzzles against his own arms, sleeping laughs. Soft sobs, heavy breaths, tosses and turns. He fluctuated between the two states of happy and sadness in his dreams frequently but never once did he wake through the ordeal, at least not on his own.

Tousa woke without a problem and he simply gave a nod before yawning and standing up. He picked the flower up off the tip of the spear and put it away before kicking his spear up into hand and walking up to the top of the hill, beginning to stretch and wake up from his sleep.

After working out all the kinks in his body, he looked around for a moment and then down towards where the village was supposed to be. It was still. He glanced back down the hill and gave a nod. Already asleep.

He spun the spear over his head once and then shifted it under his armpit, taking a deep breath and stretching out a stylized open palm meant to imitate claws. Then, as per usual when he seemed to have room and spare time he began to go through his forms, slowly. These were his military forms and nothing special came out of them. Instead he mixed his sparking spell into it, making sparks appear at the tip of the spear every once in a while, each time he did so he took a deep breath as it drained some of his magic.

It did not take long for Tousa to notice the storing. He walked down the hill and poked her nose with the spear tip, pulling it back so as to not cut Anja's face with the tip.

"You're snoring Anja..." He stated quietly, ready to get pounced on, his stance a guarded one. He didn't know how she would act to a spear poke.

Tousa gave a simple nod and moved back up the hill to once more begin practicing his forms and magic. As the minutes turned to hours, sweat began to roll off his body, and when first light was upon them he was already drenched in sweat. The strain of magic had left his body temporarily exhausted and tired, but it was nothing an hour or two of rest would not fix.

As the light peeked out from the horizon, the village began to stir as well, smoke beginning to flow from chimney's and people exiting their houses, the smell of breakfasts being made as people greeted each other.

Tousa made his way down and knelt next to Anja, grabbing a shoulder and shaking her gently. "Anja it is morning, the village is becoming active, we should start heading down to talk to them."
