I bought the feathers I needed for my angel wings. I'll have to lay the feathers out to see whether I got enough or whether I need to get some more.

And also determine whether I can just use some scrap material I have as my wing base material or will have to buy stuff. I might also look up at the material my Mom has up in the attic but I doubt anything up there is strong enough to handle the weight of a bunch of feather glued onto it.

It's been two weeks now that my fellow co-volunteer hasn't been doing cat socialization. I don't know if she's just taking some time off for one reason or another... or if she decided to do a different shift. I do know she was going to get trained to work in the dog area.

It's just sad to not have my one close friend I have at the shelter around. I am developing some friendships with a couple other volunteers that work during the morning cleaning and my socialization shift, so I'm not completely alone... but still...

Over half way on hour count to reaching the first recognition mark where I get a pin as an award.

Well I figured out which feathers I'll be using for the first layer and and adjusted the wire dimensions accordingly. I'll have to figure out the feathers for the second/third layers later. The other feathers are in a big bag and a tad bit more messier than the first layer feathers are; I don't want to get feather pieces all of my bed that will take forever to get off.

Good job, Kevin. Thanks for saying exactly what I've been thinking. Though I'm afraid it'll be awhile before the boys will ever get back on normal terms with each other.
