Your mom's only in danger if they're a threat. Yandere tend to be INCREDIBLY safe to be around if you're a relative that supports her desired relationship. The yandere's number one goal is to be with their loved one, and they're typically delighted to have the support of their target's family. Also, it can be very hard to know someone's yandere until they snap, so... nothing off-putting to worry your mom with.
