I lived close too, but in the middle of a Texas summer it was too hot for me to walk home after band practice, and I would be half frozen by the time December rolled around.

Hiraru Sagara I lived close too, but in the middle of a Texas summer it was too hot for me to walk home after band practice, and I would be half frozen by the time December rolled around. Really? sad I live in Iowa, so it's never too harsh. It would snow, but it wouldn't be that cold. Normally it would never get over 85 when school started either. The only time it was too harsh, school would be cancelled.

We would get a foot or two, and as long as the roads didn't get icy, they'd have school. And I mean, I walked a just a simple mile each morning, as long as you're bundled up, the cold shouldn't bother you.

Feet of snow, as in more than one, would send all us texans into boughts of hysterics and panic.

lol I remember one time my cousin(who lived in Texas at the time) sent me a picture of the snow Texan's got one year that almost caused them to call in the army. Really, all they had to do was wait until about noon and poof, all gone XD Nothing was on the roads or anything lmao. I asked my cousin if she was joking about the whole army thing and she said she wasn't rofl
