Alright, I'm going to go take a shower and get dressed. Then I'm going to continue reading Vicki's dissertation and try to make some good progress on it ((finishing it might be too of an ambitious goal - though it would be nice)).

I'm back.

I've got 3 hours until I'll have to leave for my interview at the library. Until then I'll continue reading Vicki's dissertation.

They sure were strict about appearances for the stewardesses. It's amazing that the women were able to remember every little detail.

The 1966 Pan Am stewardess manual also regulated lipstick and nail polish colors: “Lipstick must be worn at all times while in uniform. Nail polish is optional. Lipstick and nail polish must be in basic shades—such as red, rose-red, or coral shades. Lavender, purple, orange, insipid pink, iridescent or flesh color lipsticks and nail polish are not permitted.”

Very interesting how limited they were in terms of color for lipstick and nail polish.
