Rhed King Since your book level is so much lower, it also kinda hurts your mana pool, which in turn makes it harder to summon, etc. Book level does not affect your max MP.

Rhed King In Vis's house. also some advice for making the game actually hard; cause after your first playthrough you kinda want an actual challenge. Only use bombs. like only bombs. unless your objective is a rope or a hammer switch, in which case, of course use a sword or whatever, but if they aren't essential to the level, don't even worry about them. for the elemental switches out of reach, use spirits instead of guns. It makes the game tons harder, since you end up with a very limited book level, basically never get the 4*4 grid, and bosses become incredibly hard (some more than others) Since your book level is so much lower, it also kinda hurts your mana pool, which in turn makes it harder to summon, etc. beat amorphes with just bombs. not to easy, huh? Pffffft I broadsword the ******** out of everything. Oh, you're a little bit further away than I'd like, so i"m just going to hurricane your a** until you die. DIE. 'Sides, The Sandy Anwar recovers MP so I don't have to go JL to fill my massive MP gauge up D;
EDIT;; MP is affected by either the giant green or gold tablets you scan.
Does anyone know if the flower at the end of your HP vine increases your attack? When I was pwning Kullervo I noticed I did half the damage I was doing after he hit me once and the flower fell off.

Wait a minute, I generally stick to bombs and a sheild. It's not that difficult. In fact, it makes everything easier. I always make it hit twice in rapid succession, too. Plus, when I don't use bombs, I usually stick to the Wicked Weiselgand, which recovers more MP than the Sandy Anwar, and Thor's Mjolnir, which just deals ridiculous amounts of damage.

I ALWAYS do swords, just because the hurricane is just ridiculously effective. Spinning for fifteen seconds doing slightly less damage but not enough to be significant and not allowing ht enemy to move at ALL and then they're stunned on the ground after you're done so you just charge up (once you're level 15 with swords its stupidly fast) and repeat until dead. Easy way to recover MP and rack up hits which raise the monster's CP.
EDIT;; And my other hand fluctuates, I generally do a projectile or hammer.

See, I lay mines. It's so effective, and almost always reaches the damage cap while hitting twice with one ridiculously large blast. If they aren't dead, they're at least a good distance away now. The only problem is getting caught in the blast yourself. xd So I carry a shield in the other hand.
