Sony screwed up. Badly.
As for the Wii . . . If the worst thing people can complain about is the wrist strap not being durable enough to withstand their tantrums when a video game bests them, they need to shut up. It proves that the Wii is worth the wait, and a decent system to own/buy. Games are just as impressive as one might expect, the controls are universally easy to understand, and support is excellent.
As for SSB, I never really enjoyed fighting games, to it was never my thing. sweatdrop A good game, but not one I ever took too seriously.

The greatest thing is that it only costs $250. Other ssytems cost TWICE as much. The generation after this one, Nintendo and Microsoft are going to be the main competitors.
I like it, because SSM is more of a party game, too (although they could take a chane at stepping into full-3d motion sometime).

Who's to say what the future will bring. I can only speak for the here and now. Nintendo is gaining serious steam in the game market. Microsoft is holding steady . . . neither gaining ground nor losing it. Only their game library will be able to tell if the 360 will hold true. Sony . . . is looking at the moment like the Sega company. They were doing well, had a good chunk of the market and then got overconfident. Now they have blown a lot of their market standing.
Espically since they are banking everything on beign able to play Blu-Ray discs. I see it as VHS vs Betamax tapes all over again. Everybody has DVDs, and though the Blu-Ray is technically better . . . who wants to pay a thousand dollars for a player (or even 500-600) when a DVD player is about $30 for a cheap one and there is already a HUGE library of movies on DVD? stare

Before the systems came out, it seemed that Nintendo was going to be the next Sega, leaning too heavily on the Mario franchise (as Sega did with Sonic). Now, PS3 is the loser by upgrading to new technology too soon (because Sega always produced their new system before the other companies).
Yeah, the change from VHS to DVD was huge and overdo. Now, since the change is between two disc formats (Blu-Ray being VERY new), many people don't see a need. The technology is too expensive and preliminary as of now. They should have waited. HD-DVDs would've been a better choice.
EDIT: Off-topic, but "Night at the Museum" was really funny. It was clean and not a kiddy movie either, since it was rated PG.

I wants to join a roleplay based around Greek Mythology, sometime... I'd make one, but, lately, my patience for running large roleplays is running thin... I have a roleplay for Ouran Host Club that i've been typing up, but dont exactly intend to actually do it...
Meh.

*gluggles Ilead and Odyssey* Greek mythology would be awesome, but you'd have to give much detail to prevent non-mythological-buffs from becoming confused and lost. Some things you might assume people know (like Zeus actually using a bow, not lightning bolts) might not be all that well known. *is a mythological nerd*

As for SSB, I never really enjoyed fighting games, to it was never my thing. sweatdrop A good game, but not one I ever took too seriously. As much as I enjoy videogames, I hate how people act to get their hands on one. In my country, (Canada) a couple days ago, there was a contest on the radio, called "Dont Wee for a Wii." Basicly want you had to do, was drink as much water as possible in this period of time. Well, this twenty-eight year old woman, entered to get it for her children and went home and later that night died from water intoxication. All for a game system that her children would later loose interest in. WHY TO PEOPLE DO CRAZY FOR THESE THINGS? I mean, they're just game systems. It makes me annoyed. And I find it pointless to sit outside future shop or whatever, all night to get a bloody game system. scream stressed sweatdrop

Yeah, while there are extremes like drinking oodles of water, killing someone for their money and place in line in the middle of the night, and more, They're preety darn fun. Personally, if I was to ever get a new system, I'd wait until the price of the system, equipment, and games goes down. Why is it so important to have a certain system NOW? A little patience might do some of there people some good.

Welcome to the guild! Ahah, dont worry you posted in the right thread. I'm Jess, but have many nicknames that seem to revolve around sporks, and fluffiness. I hope you enjoy your stay at the guild, and if you have any questions feel free to pm me. smile
Yoder I have to agree with you. I mean, I'm still hardcore with my psx (if you dont know what that is, it's a oldschool playstation) and it still works perfectly, even though the graphics suck balls, some of their games are great. I've been waiting for the Playstation Three to come out, so that the playstation two prices will go down.
Sure you'll have to wait for a while, but you save crap-ola loads worth of cash. And the games prices go down. SO it'sss alllll good. cool

Greek RP? Count me interested! biggrin
I'd look into it, DTT, but to be honest, I feel it would flounder under my 'leadership' . . . The Refuge is fairly self-sustaining. I just am the final word on problems. Getting it started from scratch- that would be basically me copying another guild idea. Likely the villian based one I met Krome-dono in. *luvs on Mello-neechan* That one only died because the owner/runner of that guildwide rp left to WoW.
I hate WoW. scream
