Cecilia's azure finger clutched the steering wheel tightly as she attempted to get the others off of the Freeway. Yet, they still had a long ways to go and the fact that they were being attacked had slowed them down tremendously. As she heard Roulin mention the name of their attacker, Cecilia's eyes narrowed. "I kind of figured that when Kate mentioned her name," she said as she kept her emotions as calm as possible. She knew that becoming angry would not help them in this situation. Sydney was now gone. Rage had complete control now. There was no saving her. She was rather taken aback to see that Victoria had taken a stand. The Herald of Mind struck Cecilia as someone who preferred to leave the fighting to everyone else, but the Sapphire female was not about to look a gift horse in the mouth. She looked down at the speedometer and saw that the truck was unable to go any faster. Cecilia took a deep breath and let it out slowly. They had to speed the truck up. The young owl's body began to emit a deep purple aura, which then moved from her, towards the back of the truck and emitted a gravitational push, which then began to brace itself against the truck. The vehicle began to increase in speed despite the fact that the speedometer was still in the same spot. Cecilia's determined teal eyes were completely focused on the task at hand. Surprisingly, what she had done had not required as much energy as her other gravitational attacks and abilities.

Roulin released himself from his seatbelt in order to move better when he needed to. The contraption almost snapped his neck just moments ago when he shot forward to dissipate the shadow boulder Rage had put out before them. Just before he could reply to Cecilia's statement, something sharper than a shadow stone whizzed through the back window of the truck window, through Roulin's large, dark hair and out into the darkness before them. The dazed young owl poked and prodded at his hair until he finally found a quarter sized hole. Together in shock and awe, his father and he yelled out, "My hair!"

"I think they know we're here you guys!" Lomoli shouted above the dings and pings of the shadow rocks beating the truck. "The rebels! I can hear them talking just outside the shadows...and they have guns in case you haven't noticed!"

"Then that means we're close right?! Right!? Cecilia!?"

Cecilia let out a loud shriek as something whizzed through the back window striking Roulin from what the Azure Owl could see out of the corner of her eye. She expected him to say something a bit more intelligable, but what she heard caused her to slap her palm to her face. "I swear, sometimes I wonder about you two!" she cried glancing at both Roulin and Che before she glanced back in the direction that the bullet had come from. "Well this is just ******** perfect. We have a raging Herald on the one hand, and on the other, we have a bunch of angry humans. Only instead of torches and pitchforks, they have firearms and tanks!!" Cecilia did not want to harm them if she could help it, but she would immobilize them if she had to. Hearing Che's words, she began to lose her temper. "Would you just shut the hell up, Che?! I swear to God, if I hear you yell or hear you or your son utter one more complaint about your hair, I will turn this ******** truck around!" She spoke like a mother who was on a family trip with a bunch of unruly sons.

((UNS - Amaya))

Amaya smiled back at Amara and then blinked. Actually, she didn't know what she would be teaching. "Umm.... I can teach them some music..." she said sheepishly. "And something about Owls? I can help them with electricity!" she added, becoming a little bit more confident in her answer. Electricity was her ability after all, so she had experience with it. And Amaya had absolutely no idea that Amara was pregnant. She couldn't see a bump or anything that indicated so...Amara did not seem fatter than before.

----

((UNS - Will))

Will let go of Noel as she, as it was sometimes called, "did her thing" with her wings, the light glow, and the "I'm going to fly in the air and plead with everyone to stop" act. It was a pointless act, as pointless as her words. The two warring sides were too deeply engrossed in their actions to even notice the God Owl. Hell, she probably didn't look like anything special or attention grabbing because there were so many different types of Owls already seen in the war between the two sides. "Ah, Noel, stop it." Will chided with a smirk as he watched the buildings Noel reconstructed only crash and burn again. "You know it's futile. Why waste energy?"

Neither God nor Satan Owls really mattered at this point to those fighting. They didn't know who Will or Noel were. To them, they were just two other Owls in the fray, and if they got in the way, they would just be expendable obstacles. But to Will, this sort of chaos was usual, and he rather preferred it. The blonde devil was content with watching the chaos for now. Or maybe it was because it was such fun poking fun at the God Owl for useless actions...

((The fighting hasn't gotten to where Will and Noel are standing yet.))

When Victoria finally showed herself, Rage's laughter rang out from the very darkness along the freeway itself. 'O-Ho! So the cowardly Victoria finally shows herself! But only when her weak little friends are threatened?' Rage's voice echoed around Vicky. The Dakrness Herald knew she could defeat Vicky easily. She was, after all, in her element right now. The very air was thick with shadows and darkness. As such, Rage manipulated Victoria's own shadow to basically swallow her whole. Her psionic aura might be overwhelmed by the power of the shadow since it was equal to Victoria's own power level. However, Victoria was only dealing with a disembodied voice Rage had shouted out with from the shadows. Rage had placed Syd's body amongst the humans, basically tearing them limb from limb and killing most of them with ease.

At the same time, Rage knew she still had her playthings in that truck on the freeway which was now being shot at by the human rebels. Rage would first throw the truck off course. Granted, to them, it would feel like bullets were being shot at them but in reality, it was only bullet-sized shadow rocks. The shadows surrounding the truck closed in faster now through the AC vents and basically 'decaying' the trucks metal. At least that was how it appeared to those riding the truck. It would appear as though the shadows were going to eat them alive now. If anyone managed to see through that complex illusion, Rage had a huge, glowing shadow saw blades cutting up through the concrete of the freeway, trying to cut through the truck and its passengers without discrimination.

As the shadows began encroaching upon the truck and its passengers, Kate grimaced in annoyance and discomfort. There was no way she would come this far only to be eaten alive by sentient shadows! She still had her job to do. And there was no way she was going to let some stupid Herald kill off both her, Che, and Roulin: the two of them were supposed to help her fix the problem they had made by leaving the Forbidden Door open. She raised her left arm above her head, palm facing upwards. "Eternity: Aether." Aether was the god of light in Greek mythology, and Kate wanted him to use his abilities to help her get rid of the bulk of the shadows enveloping the truck and the freeway area.

Even in the shadowy abyss, there was a flash of light as the spirit of Aether was summoned. He floated above the speeding truck, his body radiating a bright light, very similar to what L had taught Moli to do, only without melting off his skin. Aether raised his arms above his head in a 'v' shape, which caused a globe of light to expand above his hands and head. This light was bright enough to disperse the shadows and darkness surrounding the truck in a wide barrier, its radius of about a mile. This was enough to let Cecilia see the road ahead and drive safely. The saw blades and shadow rocks were gone. But beyond that barrier was darkness.

With the darkness surrounding them, it was impossible for Cecilia to see ahead of her. On top of that, they were also being attacked by the rebel humans as well, which didn't help matters. While the Azure Cosmic Owl could not stop the shadow rocks, she could stop the bullets that were flying towards them attempting to silence the ragtag team forever. The gravitational branch of her abilities activated allowing the bullets that headed towards them to glow a deep purple color and stop in midair, affected by the gravitational field that was placed around them as Cecilia prevented them from hitting their targets. Thanks to the Greek God of Light, Aether, she was now able to see ahead. The Freeway was in a disarray, which forced Cecilia to maneuver through the cracks in the road so that they would not wreck. The Azure female gave a sigh of relief as she was able to see the Human's Rebel base up ahead. She nodded towards it. "Looks like we're here," she said in a calm tone of voice despite everything that was happening around them. She steadily continued deflecting the bullets that flew towards them as she allowed the truck to come to a stop before the Human's base.

As the remaining three people were recognised Lucien sighed and just pointed to the back of the truck. "We don't have a lot of time to sit here and wait. You three get into the truck." He said as he pointed again. He would explain things later, they were already late enough and knowing the others they were already getting into a world of trouble. He knew that they were going to need to hurry if they were going to make it on time for the meeting with the rebel leader, Lucien doubted he was a patient man and they didn't exactly file an appointment. As Luca finally entered the truck Lucien flared the engine back to life. Stepping on the gas he shot them forward, the slight smell of smoke and the bitterness of fighting seemed to fill the air as they traversed the city streets, he could see car's overturned, fires, broken windows, the typical symptoms of a riot. Looking at the pitiful excuse he knew inside that sense they were going to the Owl rebel base that things were only going to get worse the closer they got to the rebel's base.

As the darkness encarnate revealed herself and the symphony of battle began Anderson found himself being barraged by the shadow bullets which rained down. He could see his fierce demonic familiar manifesting itself clawing and hissing savagely at the darkness. The dragon however didn't appear, it's patient solemness keeping to itself until the last possible moment. He could feel the demonic power fueling his cosmic power, it was similar to the dragon's just in a different visual perseption. As his left arm began to radiate with a black cosmic energy he surrounded himself in a circle of it, the darkness crept slowly over the metal in the truck, or so it appeared the darkness was a truly brilliant illusion.

Victoria looked around, the darkness was thick and before she knew it, her own shadow began to envelop her. This wasn't Sydney...it was a pure emotion...Rage!! If there were other emotions left she could have tried to use her empathetic abilities to switch to a less hostile emotion, since there wasn't she didn't. Her body began to glow as she freed her mind and let her power go. A large fiery aura with the symbol of the phoenix was around her as her glowing dismissed her from her own shadow. She couldn't see Sydney but she could try to distract her. Releasing several burst of psionic fire blast, in several directions as it passed creating light for her not only see but to hopefully make contact with Sydney. It was still dark but the little light she did have, she utilized it.

"Good...it's about damn time..." Lomoli was one of the first to escape the truck as soon as he could. Cecilia's driving had managed to get them there safely along with Kate's insight, Che and Victoria's defensive measures and Moli's beacon of light. After Che touched down and took hasty steps from the truck, he looked behind him in a hunched manner. There were still people outside of the darkness with guns and no that they were at the base, there would only be more.

"Alright, guess it's about that ti--" Moli lifted his already lit index finger and prepared to fire off a beam of light toward the generators. That was of course after Roulin located them. Just as he was about to speak to his brother who was safely by Cecilia's side, the truck behind them was destroyed by what appeared to be a rocket propelled grenade. Just as Che's motions had predicted, they were still being chased. The pre-herald threw his arm up in a feeble attempt to block against the shrapnel, glass and rubber that was thrown. Only his arm was cut, but the light shield that rose protected him and everyone from much harm. Looking through the firery blast, Moli screamed over to Roulin, "Find the generators now Rou! Before the snipers catch sight of this s**t!"

Cecilia opened the door and slid out of the truck as quickly as she could as soon as she had come to a stop. She had managed to get out just in time, for as she was walking away from the vehicle, there was an ear-splitting explosion as the truck was destroyed. Debris from the truck flew everywhere. She prepared to deflect the metal that flew at her, but Moli had erected a barrier of light to prevent them from taking on any damage. The young Cosmic Owl's teal eyes glanced around searching for signs of their attackers. However, because her line of vision was what any normal human would have, she could only see so far and therefore could not see the generators nor the snipers that most likely had the ragtag team in their sights. If the generators could be located, Cecilia would be able to aide in destroying them.

Lorna had gotten the unconscious Serena to the safety of her hotel room and tended to her wounds before she headed out again back towards Kojiro as she had promised him. As she flew above the buildings, she glanced up and happened to see a Carrier Jet heading in the direction that she was going. The Polaris Owl's eyes narrowed. "I don't think so," she said, a light smirk upon her face as se lifted her right had towards the carrier and began to create an electromagnetic charge that traveled along the jet, which damaged the engines. Lorna watched as the Carrier began to fall towards the earth. As it fell, Lorna slowed down its movement so that it would not take on too much damage. As soon as it had landed, she flew towards the carrier. The pilot an co-pilot were inside, but before they could react, Lorna took them out with metallic darts before dumping their bodies out of the carrier without a second glance at them. She then began to inspect the damage, using her metallic abilities to fix the engine and anything else that might have been hurt when the plane had come down.

,Another solider fell to their knees and landed on the ground with a soft thud, his body was riddled with knives,"...their surprise attack...is it retaliation?...or are they after something?" Kojiro wondered, the chaos and violence whipping up in their new city, Kojiro heard gunshots behind him as they began using heavier weapons, Kojiro created a lance and flung it towards the group of soldiers, with Kojiro pointed a fist towards them and then was about to open it,"Frost Nov-" Kojiro was overwhelmed from behind the lines a burst of fire sprung from behind them, destroying the lance. In the blink of an eye Kojiro was engulfed in flames. As the smoke and embers cleared, Kojiro stood there, holding his arms up as they blocked his face, his body was covered in a damaged armor he barely managed to form, it was half melted and falling apart his body was fine, aside from some smoldering parts of his clothes. The Soldiers wasted no time in following up the attack as they opened fire. Kojiro dashed to one side as he dodged the barrage, and returned the attack with an onslaught of knives, that were burnt away quickly by the fire user. Kojiro took cover as he began to think of a plan, he then tried to create another satellite, A shard of ice fell to the ground for a split second as it finally started to hover, finally controlling his skill, several knives began to float around him. Kojiro jumped out of cover and made a headlong dash towards the enemy, as he closed the distance the knives shot to the different directions and flanked the group from the sides, and in the same instant Kojiro created a flurry of icy wind and shards straight towards the fire user. Unable to cover the soldiers the novice fire user defended himself but attacking with a blast of fire to overwhelm the attack. The soldiers were torn apart by the sneak attack. And Kojiro began to fight back as they began to combat each other Kojiros hands began to cover themselves in a light coat of ice as his body began feeling the effects of his powers, he was beginning to feel the fatigue take over. The flames began to push ever closer Kojiro stepped back, the next moment he saw a slab of concrete heading for him. Directing his power to both attacks the Slab came in contact with a wall of ice, reducing the impact but still making contact, slamming Kojiro to the side, sending him to a stumbling halt, however, this time instead of feeling hopeless and giving into the odds. he simply got back to his feet and prepared another attack against the two Owls, showing no hesitation to attack. Kojiro created two short swords and calculated a new attack strategy, but before he could move, the combatants heard the heavy metallic groan of the carrier heading towards them. Taking his chance he fled to a dumpster and dove in, quickly reinforcing it with ice and freezing it to the ground. As the carrier came in the ice finally broke away and sent the dumpster tumbling into a building. When the dust finally settled. Metal container was bent and warped, sealing the lid shut, there was a slight silence and then a light tapping was heard until it was aloud slamming against the lid, finally a foot kicked through and opened the lid. Shards of ice fell out as it appears like a freezer had been opened, vapors seeping out and such. Kojiro rolled out of the dumpster, curled in a slight ball, Kojiro opened his eyes lightly, as he uncurled his body, his coat was curled in a small ball, he was carrying it carefully in his arms. He looked up and saw the carrier in front of him, there was no sign of the Owls, creating another knife in one hand, he stepped cautiously toward the carrier.

"I'm trying, I'm trying!" cried Roulin as his brother Moli rushed him to locate the null generators. It wasn't impossible due to the darkness that Rage had surrounded them in thanks to the fire raging behind them. The italian's eyes darkened as the process took place. The somber hues of his eyes rivaled the black tinge that encased them all. Architect seals appeared in both eyes and with a weak smirk, he pointed forward. "There! Shoot there!" Roulin knew his brother's line of sight was nothing compared to his, but as long as he could shoot at where he was pointing, then he'd hit something.

Moli took aim, discerning the sniper shots that rung out through the dark clouds, and fired off into the night. He missed once, but took out a rebel in doing so. Not a smart move, but it got a bit of the heat off of them. He fired again and this time struck the generator closest to them. There were three more left. Hearing the explosion and seeing the light from it cause a haughty laugh to arise from the blonde marksmen. That was short lived though for in moments, he ran out of the dark bubble towards the base. "Advance! Advance! Go, before Rage gets the best of Victoria!"

Cecilia could feel her heart pounding rapidly. The only other time it had truly beat so much was when she was confessing her feelings towards Roulin, but both situations contrasted each other very much. She was unable to see what Roulin was pointing at, but she assumed that the generators were in that direction. Cecilia's own line of vision wasn't as great as his, but then again, she did not possess the abilities that he did. An explosion soon resounded as Moli had destroyed the nearest generator. But how many more were there? There couldn't have been just one. Cecilia just hoped that Roulin's vision would not fail him before they reached them or else they might have been in quite a bit of trouble. When Moli yelled for them to move forward, Cecilia didn't hesitate, for she knew that standing would only better their chances of being killed rather than running, which might enable them to live, even though that chance might be small. She began to run forward in the direction that had been indicated following closely behind the others.
