Market's Place ~The RP~

Kenton Alkemi

Kenton lay where he had been thrown on the ground. His expression was blank, as if in a daze. Just what the heck had happened in the past few minutes? He couldn't quite piece it together. The sore on the back of his head from being tossed around like lost baggage certainly didn't help, either.

After a few moments of relieving most of her pain she looked at her friend hoping he'd knew what had just happend all too suddenly. Instead she noticed he was in a daze giving her the idead that he didn't had a clue. She sighed. "You ok Kenton?" She asked.

dling looked around noticing the lack of hoardes
"none here though"

Ashton walked in further, he glanced around, large red eyes looking at the odd place, his small chibi wings fluttering gently as he felt them slip out from under his small red half top.
His ears perked up at everything that was around him, listening intently from anything, his tail curling and un curling in a lsight nervous action.

The small anihum/angel wandered along, his eyes darting from stall to stall, cursiously he gazed at the odd items on display, everything here was different from where he had already been, so many new things all around him making his curiosutity grow.

Xaec turned to Krinna. "What we do now? Where go?" he asked. He had to admit, he quite enjoyed the company of cats rather than the taste. So many interesting things happening on a regular basis. "We explore new place?"

"I think so." Krinna replied.
"I don't have any money to spend, but we could windowshop."

((heehee... "You don't dress like a peasant!"))

Xaec tilted his head. So many strange terms...
"Monies? Windoshops? What Krinna talk about?" he asked her. "We explore Windoshops?"

Krinna sighed. How many common words and phrases was she going to have to explain? Oh, well, at least Xaec was someone she could talk to without having to look up to a height more than half-a-dozen times her own. Though she was used to that, having spent considerable time in the company of humans, sometimes it was nice to be around people who were closer to her own size.
"Uh... I mean we could look around and see what's for sale without buying anything."
She flicked her tail and started walking around.

"Oh." Xaec said. He mimicked her movements, turning around and walking. He glanced from left to right, trying to make it look like he knew what he was doing before stopping and turning to Krinna. "Umm...buying?"

Krinna looked over at Xaec. "Yeah, okay. Buying is when someone gives money to someone else in return for something."
She looked around until she spotted an example.
She flicked her tail again, this time to indicate a merchant's stand where some strangely-dressed person was getting a gun and a milkshake in exchange for a bag of coins dumped out on the table.

Xaec sucrried over and watched, eyes filled with curiosity. "So...she give person monies...and get things." he said, very proud of himself for his learning. Then he stopped. "Wait...why she not just eat person and take things? Then she get things, keep monies and get eats." he asked.

TES entered the market place and began too look around. He hoped that one store might sell weapons. At least there he could ask for a repair man to fix his sword. He saw a woman obviously trying to teach a man about city life it seemed. He shrugged and kept walking.

I hate this. Not even a single weapon shop in sight. There's got to be something.

A man inside a dimly lit shop waved over at tes
"hey mack, you lookin for something?"

TES liked the look of the little shop. He moved to it like a ripple across a pond. With his left hand, he eased the broken half of his katana out of it's sheath to show the man. Just as easily, he slid it back. With his right hand, he tapped his left pocket to indicated he had money.

I either need to get it repaired or to get a new weapon. Give me some options.

The man studied the remants intently then poked through the offer gold
"if i repair it ill need a week to get the materials, purify the metal and cure this blade in a reforging process.
It will take time to get something of quality equel to the remains.
Until then i have this"
he walks back into his shop and holds up an ordinary gladius blade
"you can purchase this until then what you have should cover the expenses"

Nia looked around
"this is one of the largest markets in the city, heavily protected by the jarian merchanteer union"

Krinna shrugged at Xaec. "That sort of thing doesn't work well everywhere. A place like this, if you start eating everybody to get the stuff, then soon people won't trust you enough to leave stuff where you can get it, or they try to eat you to stop you from eating everybody. Better to eat bad people in return for money or credit, then use that to buy the stuff."
The black-and-white cat looked up at Nia as the woman told them more about the market.
"Jarian Merchanteer Union? What's that?"
