The Artisans District ~The RP~

Justice meeped as the musical notes shot him and the Flamingo forward. "Wee!"

"Hello musical notes! I did not know that you could come to life also." chirped Blue happily, shortly before one of them smacked her in the face.

She decided running away would be a good idea now. "Kyaaah!! You are not very polite!!"  

[Areashine]

Areashine continued to run, but her eyes glanced towards a stand she just passed. A wonderful aroma of pumpkin pie drifted by.

"OMG! Pie!?"

Areashine ran back to purchase a wonderful slice of pie.

"Cool Whip please!"

Areashine devoured the pie slice.

the crowd began throwing radom good products at the races in second and further back, hoping to motivate them.

Rogi snapped to his senses and ran from the pie stand. As he ran, he traced more runes in the air. He had to make up for lost time and make his creator proud.

After calming down Rooj climbed back onto Kairs shoulders and used her riding crop to get the sheep girl running again.
The finish line was just a few more spaces.

Having narrowly escaped the flying musical notes (by hopping), Blue continued the race (also hopping). There was much hopping as she hopped hoptacularly.

The race was straining the author's ability to make hopping sound tense and dramatic.

Justice squealed as a giant belly bounced him backwards. "Eeeep!" His tail flailed as he finally hit the ground. "Stupid bellies..."  

[Areashine]

Areashine began walking away from the pie stand with a satisfied look on her face. She began running and smelled a wonderful smell. A smell of....

"OMG!! Cherry Pie!?"

Areashine ran past another pie stand, but promptly ran back for a wonderful piece of cherry pie.

"Is this a race or an eating contest?" Areashine remarked to no one in particular.

Some fiendish creatures of the night blocked Rupel's path. They looked like very large fat men, all dressed in red and white. They had jolly faces and beards, but they were eeeeevil. They each had a glass of milk and spoke of devouring cookies in the middle of the night, and not wanting to wait until December...

"Ah!" Rupel exclaimed in fright, and backed away quickly, pulling out a whistle as she did so. As soon as she blew a few notes, a very large quantity of fortune cookies came flying out of some nearby greenery, and attacked the fat men.

It was a terrible battle; cookie crumbs, fur-lined hats, little pieces of paper, and bits of white beard were flying everywhere... eventually the Santas were chased off by the fortune cookies, but the cookies had suffered a large amount of casualties and Rupel had lost some ground in the race.

She sadly picked up a little scrap of paper, and read from it in memory of those who'd fallen:
"Your lucky numbers are: 4, 2, 6, 12, 24, and 42."

The crowd yelled and cheered as the race slowly drew closer.  

[Fuzzy Mitten Mistress]

With the end in sight Rooj began to cheer until those damnable crumblers attacked.
Large giant hard cookies with giant mallets charged at them looking ready to crush the slave and her master.
Waving her hand Rooj cast her limb disable spell making one of the crumblers drop the mallet on his friends foot.
While they were distracted Rooj climbed off of Kairs back and ran for the finish line living the sheep girl to deal with them.

justice and the flamingo had gotten a bit discouraged from the belly bouncing them. "Uggh... I just don't see the purpose of going on..." It's at that moment that all the encouragement he needed showed up. "I'll cuddle you if you catch me!" Justice reversed roles with the flamingo, racing forward at a breakneck pace. "Muuuuust Cuuuuuuudle!"

Rupel did her best to make up for having been slowed down by the attack.

She was determined to at least get second place in honor of her brave fortune cookies! Reciting the lucky numbers from the piece of paper as if they were an inspiring mantra, Rupel tried to run as fast as she could manage.

"Four, Two, Six, Twelve, Twenty-Four, Forty-Two! Four, Two, Six..."
