You'll have to farm her a lot. :/ Man, you can get a plate off of anything, it's just your HR at this level isn't high enough. If you could take on the harder quests that five you higher quality items, the plate's drop rate should increase, by a really small amount. >.>

Soo..... I need to get online and do all those quests till I get to Rathian? And my chances should be increased on those quests?

Not sure how it works in this game, but when you beat that first set of Villager's quest, I think someone else gives you quests. o.o Cause in MHFU, the Felyne Elder gave out quests when you finished the Village Elder's.

If not, yeah, online is your best bet. These really are online games anyways.
You still get plates from the 2* Rath. I got one yesterday when my group startled her, which is a drop. :3

That's it, I'm getting back online... Wait, how do I get the 2* quests? Do I finish all the 1* or just get my rank so high up?

I think it's like a combo of a few things. You need to complete certain key quests, then finish the following urgent quest once you're the appropriate HR.

Argh, I know some guys were going to fight Rathian the other day but my HR was to low :/

Hmm, not really sure.
I do know that I finished almost all the 1* quests, my HR wouldn't go up anymore until I finished the Urgent. So I'm guessing, you need to finish the quests to get a high enough HR to even DO the Urgent.

Hello. ^.^ I picked up Monster Hunter Tri the end of last week. Its my first Monster Hunter game. I'm not very far... I only just killed the damn angler fish in single player.a couple hours ago. I did spend a chunk of my weekend on MH3, but then I realized what day it was and that I still have a final exam Wednesday. I would love to play with some not-so-random strangers sometime.

On another note, after I killed the angler fish, I took the first 4 star quest to kill those Baggi... and ran into some hideous worm/wyvern thing... and ffs, poison hurts.

I ran into the gigginox when I did the bloodstones quest, funnest time I've had running around screamingm lighting torches, and mining yet.

Haven't run into the thing yet. :/ I did run into a Rathian in that quest where you have to kill bugs.

Speaking of bugs, those damn worms are the worst, imo. I hate them so much... They're so freakin' small that I can't madly swing my great sword around and expect to hit them. And in the caves, its so hard to see them without a torch... at least on my TV. I turn up the brightness/contrast just so I can see those bastards better. And... they fall from the ceiling. All I hear is something land on the ground, and I'm filled with dread. Damn those worms. Damn them.

I need ten wyvern claws to finish my Rathian armor. D: I've only farmed her like, five-six times and I've got all the other stuff made, except for the legs. Just the ******** claws, and I can't seem to get it.

Oh, and this p***k got all pissy when me and this girl died. I mentioned that I've actually done Rathian before, and he like, herp derped and said he did too. I asked if he ever played this game before, and he called out that he didn't die. He left as soon as he said that, the p***y. Never responded whether or not he actually played it.

I KNOW this monster. I have to get used to the new moves, but it's not even hard. D< I GOT the gold Rathian armor.
