Scythe: Hmm, Drei, I had no idea E.S. Posthumus did some of those tracks that popped on youtube. I have a classical background, so I always enjoy when people mix modern and orchestral at some sort of balance. However, what are the people singing in that song you linked? sweatdrop I saw the comments...
We need a character who will just flat out laugh at Suri if "flies" off the chocobo. *notices Rigo stare Gio down if he even thinks about laughing*
Hmm... three level. Never tried it, but that is a lot of keys. As for Alane, I have no idea why, but I thought the tune would be something more upbeat sweatdrop but otherwise, they sound fine to me. Forget length because some battles can take a while anyway!
Rigo: Not in the Dragoni dictionary, it isn't. Where are your manners?

Draco: I know I'm harping this song a bit, but if you want to hear a very upbeat battle song, Blue Blast is the one to listen to. It starts off just a bit foreboding, but then kicks into a "We're awesome and we're going to kick some a**" rhythm.
Gio: *is laughing on the inside at Suri* Well, I'm just a human, not an Nero, like all those Nero kids kept saying. *Is just making up excuses* Technically, I'm not even a Dragoni. *Is actually proud to be a Dragoni, but is just messing with his brother*

I was searching for an upbeater one, but none of them fit Alane enough in battle style. (I know what you mean, but she's the character who's going to be going through a lot of changes fighting and personality wise.) I found this cool video that might give some people ideas. Vater Unser- E Nomine I've always liked E Nomine, but thinking about Battle Themes made me want to look it up on Youtube (I have the CD's). And look what I found! A FF version of the song. And tons of Hellsing versions, too. I think it's really cool.

Scythe: So, I've been put under pressure to find battle songs for Rigo. *cough* Claided *cough* I'm looking at E.S. Posthumus songs too because of the orchestral component. Claided and I were talking about these two fitting and not fitting and so on. The first one and the second one. Honestly, the beginnings are a little heavier than I imagine for Rigo. Rigo: *stares Gio down* Don't use the Dragoni name to your advantage only in certain situations...

I'm pretty sure it's good old Latin they are singing. Or some other ancient language I don't know, I'm sure you could Google a translation of the song and you'd know for sure.
If you liked E.S. Posthamus, try Therion, and *reccomended* search up the group called Immediate Music. They do the most EPIC music I've heard (and yet they aren't too popular, and most people don't know they've done trailer/soundtrack music for movies like Spiderman, Lord of the Rings, and i think Star Wars...etc...) biggrin
I really like classical mixed with modern...I don't know what that kind of genre is called....neo-classical?
Alane's song will fit fine smile It only seems to not fit because all we've seen is the positive side. I'm sure she's hiding other character bits that tie in the song well biggrin
and Drac...Now I'm gonna have to hunt down and favorite every one of those songs lol. Actually just some, I had most already. But you have AWESOME taste in music!

Gio: *Rolls eyes* Oh come on, Rigo, you know I'm just playing around. Jeez, you're being as rigid as our old etiquette teacher.
Draco: Yeah, I like to think I have a selective taste in music, though recently my focus has been on Japanese workings rather than American ones. I still enjoy Country music, since it is what I was raised on, but I hardly listen to it anymore. And as for Rock, I am very selective. I hate songs that you can hardly understand, but I love the ones that have more meaning to them. For me, my personal top three rock bands are Three Doors Down, Breaking Benjamin, and Linkin Park.
And I don't know much about the rest of the songs this band makes, but another favorite song of mine from the rock category is Blurry by Puddle of Mudd. It was also the theme to my favorite fighter-pilot game, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War. That is the most emotionally involved game I have ever played. I cried like a baby halfway through the game. That is saying something for a game about flying around and blowing enemies up. Particularly, I always felt like an uber-badass with the name that the squadron was given... The Demons of Razgriz.... *Shudders* Just hearing that gives me chills from how awesome it sounds.
And no, Vizzion, you don't have to choose a theme, it's just something fun on the side that can help us understand each other's characters better. So far I've chosen a battle theme, a character theme, and a future character theme. The character theme describes how my character is now, but the future one shows how I want him to be by the end of the roleplay.
Also..... WOOOOOT I HAZ A JOBZ! *Triumphant fist in the air*

gratz dude. and HELL YEAH LINKIN PARK! razz
I've only ever played one of the ace combat games...shattered skies I believe....How the heck could one of those games be emotionally involved? (unless they really really improved upon the games afterwards)
I do the character theme thing in almost every RP. Depending on the Chapter/Arc/etc... the theme changes to match long situations, I usually have a few battle themes, and I always always have a Death theme. biggrin

Actually, Ace Combat 5 is considered the best in the series, with the best story and characters in the entire franchise. It is so much more than flying from mission to mission, since you have wingmates with you. They each have unique personalities, and all of them have the same view on the war, they hate killing, but they do it for the sake of ending the conflict sooner. All the casual banter among your wingmen really brings in a sense of camaraderie that I haven't seen in any other Ace Combat. And what hits it even harder is that in mission 17 things go straight to hell. and you are branded traitors for the remainder of the total 30 missions. Just watch this video and see how much bigger the production values are: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MF2j-Env5g0((The song towards the end is BLURRY by Puddle of Mudd.)) And hell, I would even recommend just watching an entire play-through if you can find one with good quality. The game is just as phenomenal to watch as it is to play, though I would say playing does immerse you a bit better. But something to note is at towards the end of this video I showed you, they mentioned the tale of the Razgriz. Your squadron is originally called Wardog Squadron, and the entire game follows the tale of Razgriz to a T. When history witnesses a great change, Razgriz reveals itself, first as a dark demon. As a demon, it uses its power to rain death upon the land, and then it dies. Then, after a period of slumber, Razgriz returns, this time, as a great Hero. Your characters are envoys of death to the enemy Yuktobania, but when you are branded traitors, you are shot down over the sea by people who understand your situation. They had you bail out just before shooting your planes down so that it looked like you had died, then your squad returns to war in planes bearing the mark of Razgriz and painted all black with red trim. Together with the people who save you, you help uncover a huge conspiracy that is pushing Ocea and Yuktobania to a war that neither nation wants. It really makes you feel powerful to fly into a mission and hear people say that they thought the Razgriz was dead. They really fear your squadron and seeing them come back from the dead in terrifying black planes hits all the harder. There is more realism in the human element of this game than in any other Ace Combat game. And if you feel up to it, find and watch the entire seventeenth mission, and see exactly what made me cry. CHOOOOOPPPPPPEEEEEERRRRRR! The first time I played that mission, I litterally flew better than I had ever flown before or since. It was that emotional and jarring that I killed everything in sight like a madman.

I don't want this RP to die! It is awesome! All of you are awesome! Why aren't you posting?!
I sent a PM to hinastar, and she read it, but she hasn't responded. I have a feeling we may need a new Water Bearer if she doesn't post.
And yes, it is for the PS2, and it is a fairly low price buying it used. Just make sure you get a good disk.

If we need a Water Bearer I'll be willing to sub while we locate another if no one else wishes to have a second/third character.
I've played a hella lot of RP's as different sex characters, so don't worry, I'm not stereotypically female lol. I even played an RP where my character was a mute girl. That kinda made it difficult with communication, but it worked out pretty good.

Sorry I didn't continue going to the Chocobo farm! I was busy the past two or three days and have only gotten on the computer for like 20 minutes before going to bed. I got like no sleep over the weekend, I woke up early to help paint my local skate park and I usually spent that time sleeping until twelve. I have also found the joys of finishing ACII and starting Dragon Age: Origins. (Which was also a cause of my non-onlineeness.) I'll post after I type it up. *Squak!* *gets shot* OH MY GREAT MOTHER OF MYOU (made up religion of one of my other characters)! I can't wait for Renara!! EDIT: False alarm. Leaving. Post later. >.<

I also found a theme that may fit Jolyre. But the problem is it's on an oldish CD and the song(s) aren't on YouTube. So I will have to figure out how to post videos on YT.... I still haven't figured that out. >.<

If you have windows movie maker then it's real easy. Just Rip the songs off your CD, slap it in the Movie maker, and you can upload it to youtube just like that (although most people who just upload music usually put images to go with it.)
