I watched it dubbed with the "extra" subtitle option once...Kinda like watching that old VH1 popup video show, but with anime. It had production facts and explanations for non-otaku, mixed with funny comments about what was going on. All the boxes that poped up had a cute menchi icon next to them. #81

I think I liked it better than most of the interview tracks that companies include. I enjoy that kinda thing but sometimes the format it's done in gets stale...so this was a nice change. #84

When I was younger one of my favorite things was watching the subtitles on a show where in english no cus words are said, but in the japanese and subtitles they say s**t damn and all the other good stuff. (post # 82)

I remember that, it happened alot back when Funimation still had ties to viz media. Many of the shows they released on dvd were still not entirely uncut, and the dubs would always be the same edited version found on tv back then. I'm so glad Funimation has changed it's policies so that I can buy their stuff without wondering if it will be the uncut release or not. #90

(post #92) Yea, now that they no longer have Viz media holding them back they do great stuff...but this was not always the case. They broke ties with Viz after Rumiko Takahashi sued Viz for edited/altered copies of some of her manga being released by them. #99

Yup, she's mangaka royalty...she doesn't even have to pitch ideas anymore. All that happens is, "Hey, I have an idea for a manga." Then they offer money, she's that big. #103
