"Well, I'm going swimming," he said with a more playful tone as he sat up and kissed her neck softly getting up. He walked out to the water stepping into it enjoying the odd feeling of the cold sand between his toes. He walked into the waist deep water looking around back at people before he filled his lungs completely. His sleek body vanished beneith the water staying gone. He could hold his breath for an amazing amount of time and combining that with his eyes sight, underwater was a paradise for him to explore he found out. He swam against the bottom just looking for interesting things. He'd found a lot of shells and a few he really liked so he reapeared at practicly the same spot he vanished pushing his hair out of his face with his hair spiking up a little bit from the water shuttering a little at the cold water.

Alex looked up at the sun wincing a little bit as he shuttered. It was starting to hurt his body slightly with his powers fading and making him feel a little sick, but not to much to be noticable for someone else. He rubbed his eyes and looked up at the man who was creeping closer to Ambrosia. His eyes started to change again as his fangs grew pruding from his mouth some as he stalked up, but he stopped short and winced feeling worse again. Still he grabbed the man's hand and pulled him back hard to where he was facing Alex's angry face. "Back off," he snarled pushing him back from them both.

The man stuttered back looking at him in shock while Alex stood tall. A small black mark started forming on his collar bone as it started painting itself across his bare torso as the sun took its affect on him. "I said go!" he roared stepping forward at the scared jock. The man jumped up and ran while Alex stuttered falling to his knees coughing heavily with blood on his lips and in the sand as old faded scars showed themselves painfully on his skin and old wounds reopened again. "I'll be in the car," he said quietly grabbing his towel and pulling on his shirt and wrapping his towel around himself.

Alex was laying in the back seat of the car with the back closed off with a blanket he'd brought with and his towel laid under his back upon a large gash on his back. He coughed a little and looked up at Ambrosia hearing her get into the car and started speaking. "Nothing, just basic side effects," he said quietly rubbing the mark that ached and burned upon his skin that stood out badly against his pale skin even more in the darkness now. He tightened his hand over it snarling in pain as he muttered something to himself in another language just getting frustraited about forgetting. All that would be spoken audible and understandable to her was ruby, choker, and curse.

Alex opened his eye and looked up at her and shook his head at her offer. "No, its fine to still go to the aquarium or what ever else you wanna do. Just give me a second," he whispered softly rubbing his eyes before opening them again. "Could you please go into my glove box and inside there is a leather pouch. Could you give it to me please?" he asked quietly trying to keep the pain out of his voice. He was in a lot right now so it was hard to but he didn't want her to feel more and more guilty. If he could get that dammed blood ruby he would be fine.

Alex took the pouch with shaky hands biting his lip as he opened it up. He pulled out a black choker and clasped the black leather to his neck where a teardrop ruby hung from his neck. He breathed in deeply just laying back waiting for it to take effect. After about five minutes, his breathing softened and his wounds healed closed but the mark remained still giving him pain. Over all though, he did look a lot better.

"My first attempt to lift my curse. Its called a blood ruby. Like it says, it holds dammed souls inside of it and I live off of it as a substitute for blood. That's why I got this bad this fast. I haven't had any in a few days and its litterally killing me," Alex explained quietly as he sat up to pull his shirt on over his body. He grabbed his jeans and pulled the blanket down over his body and he quickly changed his way before kicking it back off him and running his hand through his hair irritatedly.

"Its not your fault, Rose, its mine for not having the blood. I drank it all up when I got hurt the last time so I haven't had any to drink. So, its my fault," he explained softly sitting up and hunched over his knees a little as he looked at her. "So where are we going next, you getta drive since I have no idea where a lot of stuff is," he said honestly with a shrug since he kind of made short cuts on foot more than in a car.

Alex stopped his movement to the front seat after she spoke making him stop and think twice. He let out a large breath of air and sat back in the seat before popping a section up showing a hidden compartment full of more books and weapons through the ages, then his leather coat again. He grabbed his coat and pulled it on quietly. "I'll be fine, I just have to be careful," he said softly before looking at her with a blaugh reassuring smile.
