Cool! I know a little bit about the Amish community from some books I read. I adore their quaint lifestyle! 4laugh

There is a documentary on youtube, called "Trouble in Amish Paradise." It is about 2 Amish families facing excommunication by having prayer meetings and bible studies in their homes. There is a sequel to it, called "Leaving Amish Paradise" as well. The man, Ephraim Stoltzfus goes to my Church. ^^

Hi! My name is Jewel, or at least that's what people call me here on Gaia. Occasionally people'll call me Jewelies, I really don't care which you choose to call me, as I'm used to both. X3

I dunno how active I'll be in here...I'll try, but I have a hard time keeping up with guilds usually. I don't use this account as much as I used to, and I have an awful tendency to forget that I'm in a guild. ._. As such, the best way to get my attention is to quote me, otherwise I may never see what you have to say to me. ^^;;

I'm non-denominational Christian, and I love it. My church is a very small church that also serves as a ministry.

I'm also a children's church teacher, I teach ages 4-7 at my church. It's very stressful, but I love it. I love working with kids, teaching kids, etc. :3

Hello Bible guild. You all can call me apiyo. I don't really have a favorite verse or book. I have a hard time picking favorites of things. I grew up in a Missionary Baptist church, went to a Church of God in Christ Church in college, and to to a Baptist church again. I am in the United States and I am a *sigh* tech support advisor in a call center -_- . I would much rather be an illustrator/graphic designer.

Welcome to the guild! Wow! I found that you are an Anabaptist very interesting. I knew very little about them (what they believe) before I saw your post. It made me do some research... The history of the Anabaptist I feel is not so much emphasized or totally overlooked (intentionally or not) when it comes to the reformation. It really is a stain in the reformers robes, how they treated the Anabaptists after being persecuted themselves by the Roman Catholic Church, so that could be part of the reason for the silence. Reading about Anabaptist and what they believe I see that I have a few things in common with what they believe regarding Jesus, infant baptism, and the Bible. God Bless you! Thank you for joining.

Hello everyone - nice to be here heart Please call me Gemma or Gem, whichever you prefer.

It's hard to find favourite books of the Bible - for it is truly alive! My life verse is:
2 Tim 1:7
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
I have learnt so much from Proverbs and Psalms. Well I guess I could write something about most books - love it all!

The family cat - 17 years old - named Fluffy, but she is called Fluffette mostly..lol.

I'm Australian. I live in the outback far from towns and cities. Nice biggrin

I am part of Lighthouse Fellowship. We are Pentecostal. A small group, we are more like family. It is hard to find fellowship out here, and we are grateful for what we have. We travel for outreaches - it's always fun!

From when I can first remember I have loved the colour yellow, what a happy sight is a field of sunflowers! I also love blue - our sky is always azure blue!

I do a number of things. Just coming to the end of doing peoples taxes - can be quite challenging at times. I write pamplets and such. Always busy, a good thing!

Can't think of anything else at this time.
