Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain "Yep." Was all Jac could respond with, a sigh escaping him, though what kind of sigh was unknown, even to him. Was it content? Was it depressed? What was it? It didn't matter.
he thought back to that new article. the smart thing to do would be to pack up and get out of here, but with a short glance at Delia, he found himself coming up with reasons to stay. He hardly knew anyone here, so hardly anyone knew him. Jack was a common name, and there was a very vague description of him in the paper. OH! That reminded him. He turned to Delia, "Hey, didn't you once offer to cut my hair? Does that offer still stand?"

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia reveled in the silence; it was nice not being able to say anything to fill it in. The space was nice too, the air was clean; it was so much better outside than in, which she had been for most of the day. She rolled over on her side to look at Jac. "Oh yeah. Just let me know when and where," she replied with a smile. In the back of her mind she thought about how Danielle would react to her going over to his place to cut his hair. It was a strange request, but she didn't mind. She had this feeling in the pit of her stomach, or maybe it was her heart, that made her feel obligated to help him in any way she could.

Jac was relieved to hear her answer. It wouldn't be that much of a problem to get it cut at a barber, but he didn't want to chance anyone recognizing his from the description and put the clues together. It may have been a bit on the paranoid side to think that, but paranoid was safe, and he was taking no chances. "Well, how about today?" he asked, tugging at his hair. "It's starting to get out of control."

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--"Oh, okay." Delia nodded in response, propping her head up with her left arm. "I'll just have to swing by my room to get my scissors and stuff." She smiled a little bit at the memory of her sister making fun of her before she left. "You're the only one I know who would be weird enough to bring her own comb and pair of scissors with her to college just so she can cut her own hair," the high schooler had chirped; she was a professional teaser when it came to her siblings. Delia snapped back to reality and scrutinized his messy hair, having just now realized that it was indeed a lovely windblown mess. "It looks nice though," she couldn't help but to add.

Jac smiled and rolled his eyes, "Thanks, but I disagree. I've just been too lazy to get it cut before. It looks better short, believe me." He sat up and stretched, lacing his fingers together and lifting them strait above his head. "So you go back to your room and meet me at mine?" He suggested, figuring that it would seem inappropriate to go into her dorm.
He stood, then held out his hand to help her up. He wanted to get his hair cut as soon as he could, but he hoped he wasn't forcing her to rush too much. "Or you could just text me when you're ready to come over." He offered, not wanting her to have to change her plans on the dime like this.
Marina Elemento I was wondering what I was going to do about Jac's pic when we cut his hair, the I looked closely at his face and had a thought. When she cuts his hair, I'll see if you agree.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia found it hard not to smile as she sat up and rubbed her eyes subconsciously. She took his hand and got to her feet. His hand felt strong but warm over her cold fingers, which she hadn't realized felt so icy until she felt his warmth. Her hand dropped to her side and she looked down at her legs to hide her blush and brush off chunks of fallen leaves and grass. She looked back up at him and shrugged. "Now's a good a time as ever, I guess. I have no other plans."Kiyiya Sakura ooh, okay! I'm excited to see^-^

Jac smiled and nodded, "Alright, meet you at my place in a little bit then." He walked with her out of the park until he got to his motorbike, the bid her a temporary goodbye. He would have liked to offer her a ride, but he still had the problem of having only one helmet, and the last thing he needed was a ticket. Especially since his name was already on record, and he would surely be sent back to Inland. That would be the death of him no doubt.
He zoomed out of the parking lot and back to the motel, making a mental note to buy another helmet as when he had the chance. Even if it wasn't for Delia, it would be good to have an extra anyhow, he told himself to justify the purchase. He still denied himself the feelings that were steadily growing inside of him towards the girl.
He arrived at his room and opened the door. Mog was gone, yet again. He was a grown man, he could take care of himself. He tossed his keys on the counter and picked up a note that was left there.
Gone to find a job. Don't want to freeload forever bro. Thanks tho.
Jac chuckled, happy to see his friend settling into life on the run, then his smile faded when he thought about that last thought. Mog should not have to settle in to a life on the run, and it was his fault. He put his friend into this life. Jac had to make it right, but how?
He decided to wash his hair while he waited for Delia, not wanting her to have to cut his hair while it smelled of onions from work and having to pull out bits of grass too.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia nodded. She stood for a moment, watching him leave on his bike and disappear behind a ring of trees. When she had the ambition to move her feet again, she walked quickly down to the sidewalk and back toward the school. She was surprised at herself for being so calm, but a part of her was also worried that she would have to run into Danielle and explain to her where she was headed. Another part of her hoped that she'd be able to get through the whole situation without losing her head in the clouds. When she arrived back to her room, there was no sign of Danielle, and she figured the blonde had gone out with some of her other friends for dinner or something. When she peeked in the bathroom to check around, her guess was confirmed, evident in the makeup containers and brushes that were set up chaotically around the counter sink. She giggled and shook her head, then snatched up her bag of hair cutting supplies; though the scissors and comb were probably the only utilities she'd need. Delia let out a small sigh that came out more like a squeal, and she was glad no one was around to hear it. She grabbed her bag, swung it over her shoulder, and left the school grounds with barely anyone noticing. She was grateful that was the case; it's not like she was doing any sketchy business deal or something, but she didn't want to have to explain anything more than necessary. It took her a little longer to get there than usual, due to the bit of traffic that was clogging up around town. She made her way through though, even without getting lost on her way there. Relieved that she made it to his room one piece, she ran a hand through her hair and knocked on the door.

Jac had just finished drying off, save his hair, which was still damp, when the knock came to the door. He opened it and grinned when he saw her, stepping aside to let her in. "Thanks. This saves me money and discomfort. Those barber chairs... something about them make me nervous." He fake shivered and closed the door behind her. "So uh, how do we do this without making a huge mess... and where?" He looked around the room and the best deduction he could come up with was to do it in the bathroom.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia found it hard to suppress her giggles when he opened the door and revealed his damp, dark hair. It seemed even longer when it was wet, almost covering his eyes. She had the urge to reach up and run her fingers through it, but she ignored it and made her way inside. Another giggle escaped her lips when he spoke of the barber chairs. She couldn't argue either; she preferred cutting her own hair. "Uh, well, the bathroom's probably the best option..." She bit her lip, looking at the bathroom door and shifting on her feet. This would be the second time she'd be in that bathroom, doing a favor for him. She didn't mind, but it made her nervous all the same. A smile came back to her lips when she looked at his hair again, and the look on his face. "Any particular style you want, or just the same but shorter?" She liked being able to go from surgeon to stylist. Kiyiya Sakura hahaha it sounds like a shady backdoor hair cut deal xd

Jac nodded and made his way to the bathroom. The towel he had used to dry was now hanging on the shower curtain rod and he hastily gathered his dirty clothes and hid them behind his back. "Uh, be right back", he said and edged out of the room, tossing his clothes behind the farthest bed. He needed to go to the laundromat... soon.
He returned to the bathroom and answered her question, "Um, i guess just shorter. I don't really have a style." He stood there, ready to comply with whatever instructions she gave him.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia bit her tongue to keep herself from laughing at him. She had seen the dirty clothes, but it was nothing compared to her brother's room. The way he stood there waiting for her to tell him what to do made her break out into a grin. She couldn't help herself; there was just something about that look of his she was beginning to adore. A moment more and she caught herself staring at him, subconsciously reminding herself to stop doing that. "Okay." She sat on the floor and began setting up, placing the tinier bag of scissors and whatnot on the floor next to her, then unraveled a black trash bag and spread it out on the floor next to the shower. She looked up at him and patted the spot in front of her. "I figured this would make as little a mess as possible," she explained, gesturing to the odd set-up she had just made. Then, she realized something. "Um, also.. you might want to take off your shirt, or put a towel around your shoulders or something..." Delia felt ridiculous for saying such things, as such words barely ever came out of her mouth in an odd sequence like that.

Jac looked at the makeshift spot and did as he was told, grabbing the towel from the rod. He sat where she told him to and pulled off his shirt, the wrapped the towel around his shoulders. "That good?" ha asked. sitting cross-legged on the trash bag, running his fingers through his long-ish hair one last time.

--Dℯℓiα S℘riηℊstℯℯη--Delia swallowed back a flirtatious comment as he took off his shirt and sat down. "Mhm," she replied with a nod. From there, she snatched up the clean comb and began combing through his mass of hair, being as gentle and careful as she would with her own siblings. "Wow, you certainly have a lot of hair," she said with a little laugh, running her fingers through it a bit to loosen it up. "It's like a forest." Then she proceeded to take bits of hair at a time and trim away, the soft sound of the scissors snipping the only noise that came from her as she worked. Occasionally she would sigh softly and bite her lip, finding herself more focused on this job than she intended to be. After about fifteen minutes, she was almost done cutting, occasionally running her fingers through it and layering it up a bit to make sure it was even. In the back of her mind she hoped it wasn't annoying him; she wanted to be as quick as possible yet still do a good job. Which, it seemed, she had. She used the scissors one last time to trim the hair that stopped where the back of his neck started, making a clean cut then sighing happily with the finished product. "Viola!" she announced, brushing bits of hair off the back of his neck. "It looks pretty good, if I do say so myself." Her grin turned into a half-smile as she tried not to stare at him.

Jacob "Jac" Fayden McClain
Jac chuckled when she commented about how much hair he had, but stayed completely still, "Got my mother's hair." He told her, having grown up hearing it often. As she began to sut his hair, he found that the light tug of her fingers and the occasional run of her fingers through his shortening hair felt very soothing, and he visibly relaxed from an unconscious sense of tenseness he had been carrying all day. All week for that matter. Hell, most of his teenage and young adult life was swamped with stress and tenseness, A masseuse would be appalled at his body's knotted mess of muscles.
When Delia announced she was done, she brushed the back of his neck from the fallen hair, which tickled slightly and made him scrunch his shoulders, goosebumps rippling down his back and arms. He stood and looked in the mirror, smiling and nodding. "I like it. Thank you. It looks really great." He tugged on the now short hair at the front of his head, a crooked smile tugging at his lips.
Marina Elemento If you know who this is, and you feel the same about him, you will have become one of my favorite people EVAR!
