[RAID] A Legendary Heist

Tambrey made for the rendezvous point, careful to walk at a casual pace despite a nagging feeling to 'hurry'. Once they were out of earshot of anyone who might overhear, but keeping her tone light anyway, she let Lu, more specifically, know what was happening.
"At least one Galactic recognised, visible. So we're regrouping near a food vendor nearby. Sorry to go all cryptic on you like that... 'S kinda awkward to think up good code spur of the moment though."
Hrm. Galactic. She wondered if how worried she was would come through in her tone; the agent hoped not, Lu was nice enough, and pretty competent so far, but she worried about panicking the big guy.
Moreover, she worried about panicking herself... but this -was- a different situation. Technically, this time, -they- had an advantage, or perhaps, a few.
As long as Aulus, Xander and she weren't recognised... Or Rory or anyone who'd been on the rescue mission...
No. This would work out. They -did- have the advantage; she had to be confident of that, at least, for now.

Riley, in fact, was staring, but not at her Agent. She shook her head as Izaya was told to come down again, trying not to flinch again at the rough language, then looked to Aulus, concerned now, though she barely let it show. Clearly Galactic was a bigger problem than they wanted to admit....

When told they were to regroup and formulate a plan, the girl put up no resistance and simply waited for Izaya to join them on level ground so they could meet up with the others.

Stopping where he was, Grunt Nakura gave Aulus a long look. Finally, he sighed and descended the way he had come. When he reached the ground, he opened his mouth to say something before shutting it again.

"Food vendor, right?" he said eventually, walking toward the direction the agent had indicated earlier. "I did say I was starving..."

Right, good, okay. Exactly how Izaya could be hungry at time like his he had no idea but whatever, so long as the idiot did as he was told. "Right," Aulus nodded sharply, "let's go."

Shoving his hands in his pockets he set off, contriving to look merely surly rather than thunderous or agitated or whatever. He appeared to be a third wheel in their little charade today so annoyance was understandable right? Right.

As he approached the tables he spotted Tam and Lu but he made no gesture of greeting. Instead he headed to a large empty table, large enough that all of them could fit around it, and sat down. "Here," he fetched out his wallet and shoved some money in Izaya's general direction. "Go get me a drink will you? Some kind of soda. You can buy yourself and your sweetheart lunch too if you want." It might look odd for them all to sit around and not get anything to eat and or drink.

Flicking on his mic to communicate with the other groups he muttered; "At the rendezvous now.... Been thinking about how the ranger talked about the legendary, might be nothing but might be another clue. I'll elaborate when everyone's here." The Galactic was probably here for the same reason they were, right? Had they gathered more intelligence? Did they know where it was, maybe what it was? Surely they wouldn't have come alone on a mission like this though, so where were the others? They could be anyone!... Okay that was a stupid exaggeration; they couldn't be Skyla, and he doubted that they were any of the rangers. That didn't exactly narrow it down a lot but running those thoughts through his head did help to check his paranoia... a little.

Lu leaned to the side to hear her better as they walked to the meet up point, then stood up with a frown. Tambrey did seem worried, though it didn't seem out of place. Lu didn't know much about Galactic but he assumed it meant competition and danger. He'd never been fond of either of those things, but he really, really didn't want to mess up the mission. "It's okay, I thought spaced out was a good one," he said quietly, "Maybe we should use 'space cadet' as a code word?"

Accepting the money from Aulus, the grunt muttered, "Sure thing," before looking toward Riley. "Wanna come?" he asked. "Not sure what you feel like having."

Riley paused by the table, but nodded and changed her course to follow Izaya instead, more comfortable with him alone than with the Agent.

"Don't mind him," Nakura murmured in low tones to Riley as they headed toward the vendor. "He's just scared, that's all. He has more reason to be than the rest of us." Asking for two hot dogs, a soda, and a cup of lemonade, he exchanged them for the money before sticking the change back in his pocket.

Though he didn't know exactly where they were supposed to go, it wasn't hard to pick out the others when they were gathering.
Without waiting for Xander Kyle put his aviators back on and made his way over to where two of the agents Aulus, Tambrey and Lu were.
not saying anything, but not looking any less ruffled,
"For the love of Arceus please tell me that at least you two agents know what the hell you're doing."

Riley shifted her sunglasses up into her hair again, giving Izaya a concerned look. "Scared? I...sort of noticed that, a little..." Maybe he, like Tambrey, had been one of the ones taken not too far back. The idea that someone like Agent Aulus could be captured didn't sit well with her, and she bit her lip, turning her head back toward the tables to watch the others gathering as they waited for their order. "How... How bad are they?" she asked, reaching to carry the drinks for Izaya.

"That's not bad but space cadet might be a tad specific and far -too- related? It's good attempt though. How about something a little more mundane? Like, uh, birdwatcher, or something?" Tambrey asked, wondering what Lu might come up with.
The mental exercise would be good to keep some focus off the 'ohhellgalacticishere' thoughts that were rumbling around, too, she supposed.

Spotting Aulus choosing a table, Tambrey made to casually wander that way, as though the pair was interested in socialising with other visitors, more than recognising them.

"Sit down Kyle, and shut up; we haven't got time for your bitching," Aulus replied sharply still on the mic; he wasn't entirely sure what had gone on with Xander but he wasn't going to undermine another Agent in front of a Grunt, especially one he felt a kind of kinship with. He'd find out what had happened later of course and possibly give Xander a sound bollocking but here and now he wanted the matter dropped, he had plenty to worry about without insubordination from this twit too.

"How much has Xander passed on to you?" he continued, not seeing the point in giving Kyle a chance to answer back. "Here's what we know; the Legendary is in a pokeball, it's not a dragon, and...." He paused, frowning as he played back what the ranger had said in his mind again. "The ranger seemed to think it might be intimidated. I don't know about anyone else but to me that says it might well be small; Victini? Melotta? Right now I'd put my money on one of those two."

He had been planning to wait until everyone turned up to mention that but talking, thinking, focusing on what he knew and what they were going to do was keeping him... focused. Yeah.

Kyle did as he was told and sat down, glowering but not saying anything more until Aulus asked him what Xander had passed on, he burst into an answer even if he was cut off.
"Oh? Was there information he was supposed to be telling me, because I sure as hell have no idea!"
Kyle closed his mouth, frowned and seemed to take breath to collect himself.

"Nothing." He answered more simply, folding his hands on the table and glancing around the group with a building curiosity as to what actually was going on, they seemed a little... agitated.

Well, it seems like they were a lot better about getting information then they had been, and it seemed like pretty useful information too, though at this point he wasn't sure what they could do with it.

"Mmm...he has his own way of coping with it. Feels he has to stick with his reputation as 'manly', 'strong', and 'tough', so Arceus forbid he show any weakness. I'm sure his position as one of the head agents on this mission isn't helping to relieve the pressure he feels is on him."

"Bad? Oh, you mean the Galactics?" he asked, allowing her to take the drinks and putting on a more cheerful facade as they neared the tables. "Well, let's see...their leader is pretty much a prodigy man-child. We captured him on that last mission, so of course most Rockets thought we'd seen the last of them... Evidently not."

He paused. "Some Rockets are even ex-Galactics, I believe, so they could tell you more about it than me. I wasn't on the raid when they got captured or even the rescue mission, but...from what I heard, the Galactics had them at their base for a few months."

The corner of his false smile twitched. "In that time, it seems like they used a fair amount of torture. And not just physically. Aulus' partner, Hayes, was the highest-ranking on that mission...so to get to Hayes, they...well." Casting Riley a bitter smirk, he reached out to trade her the soda for one of the hot dogs before making the rest of the way to the table.

"Here you are, boss," he said, setting the hot dog and soda down in front of him. "Hope you don't mind ketchup." Taking a seat next to him, he took out the change he'd gotten and pushed it toward the agent.

"Yeah, maybe a little..." Lu said, though he'd mostly meant it as a joke. He spotted Aulus and some others ahead at a table and guessed that was where they were heading. He hoped some of them had more of an idea what to do, because he didn't have much at all. He still didn't know how they would figure out who had the pokeball they wanted. "I can think of something, uh... do you want me to get something to drink, before we sit, or..?"
