"Ghosts do enjoy their pranks," Lex replied, helping Adam up, he was sure they forgot that others bruised easily. "Good evening." He said politely to the laughing group.

"Sableye..." Tambrey breathed, once she'd gotten a look at them, and couldn't help but smile. They hadn't really hurt Adam too much, she thought, and they didn't seem scared. She wasn't privy to what they said, though, of course.
"They're so pretty..." She had to admit, she was probably very weird for thinking that, but they -were-... "Oh. Um. Right, anyway. We need to keep going..." She agreed.

Clancy's expression darkened.
"We don't 'ave time f'r playin' 'round. Tell 'em to bloody scram." They hadn't killed Adam or attacked -again- so they were just being dumb attention seeking animals... just like that other ghost...
"We gotta go an' deal with this..." He didn't remember the legendary's name! "... situation a'ready!"

The Sableye all laughed in turn, some still clutching their sides and laughing while others pointed and jeered at Manny,



Each of the jeweled pokemon shot past Manny or went around him, and one even leap-frogged over him and began to dart around the group.







One of the Sableye smacked another's head.

The assaulted Sableye rubbed the top of its head, though its broad grin remained plastered on its face.

Kyle and Roman as well as Lex all went ignored, though KO's question caused all the ghosts to stop talking at once. Their faces split into wide grins as all five of them lifted sharp claws to point in five different directions.

Diantha gave a start when Sammy was attacked, but since he'd affirmed he was alright, she nodded and looked to Rudy. "We really shouldn't split up any more than we have already," she protested with a slight frown, "but I can't disagree with you. A repeat of what happened at Geosenge would be awful. It's possible these Sableye are upset about the disturbance in the cave as well; let's see if we can placate them."

Unfortunately for any who tried to pass them, the Sableye were perfectly determined to remain firmly in their way, barring their passage.

Adam frowned. They werent going to be amblicable. Little jackasses. "Manny! Hypnosis!"

The gastly ly'd in acceptance, aiming the atack at one of the ghosts.

Kyle refrained from rolling his eyes, If he was an idiot he would have told her that no. they weren't upset, that they were laughing about a prank. but He had no intentions of spilling those kinds of beans to such a dangerous women.
"I didn't mean split up." He said not sure where she got that idea "Just that we keep moving, and I'll make sure they don't attack any of us anymore."

"Awful doesn't even begin to describe what happened in Geosenge!" He retorted "Not even come close! If you were there then you wouldn't be standing here catering to pranksters. if we don't get to Xerneas fast those and every other Pokemon will be DEAD!" He turned to the Sabeley "Do you get it? The god of life for Kalos is in danger, and if we don't do anything about it, we could all die! So please move out of the way!"

Playing it up a bit, a bit. He did know what it was like in Geosenge, but he didn't exactly feel as strong about it as he was portraying... He honestly just hoped that this would light a fire in their asses so they could stop catering to wild Pokemon that were just getting in the way.

Playing along, Roman flattened his ears, ribbons flowing softly, eyes falling to the ground.

KO sighed and shook his head at the fingers indicating multiple directions. "Now how did I know you were going to say that? Okay, what will it take for us to get past you? How about a toll, humm?" After a few moments of thought KO took his stolen pokegear off his belt and held it out, moving a little closer to the gang as he spoke. "You cold have all kinds of fun with this right? Prank calls, I'm sure you'll all love that."

Shadow - or 'Shawna' as he decided to go by, if he was supposed to be a girl - listened as Kyle tried to reason with the gem-eyed pokemon. They were fascinating creatures, but still kinda creepy. He wasn't sure he liked them.

"An attack is a bad idea." He said quietly, watching and listening to the group talk among themselves. Ghost were mischievous type and it was noticeable. They were trespassing were they? He nodded at KO, they might accept a bribe and looked around the area.

"I doubt they have even seen Xerneas." He said finally, as if dismissing the ghosts.

Clancy's finger twitched. He wanted to send out Mircalla and watch her eat these strange ghostly rats... But he was supposed to be a ranger, and rangers probably didn't do that... This was just wasting time though.

"Please could ya just let us pass ya... bloom'n little scamps?" He tried to keep a jolly, friendly tone... through gritted teeth.

Oh, but Manny was going to attack them? Great.. No... Actually that might be great! Teach the little bastards some manners... If he got away with it...

He watched KO incredulously. Make prank calls? What? Did he think they could actually use that thing?

"Calm down," Diantha soothed, holding her hands palms out to Kyle. "It's okay, we're not going to let the events at Geosenge repeat themselves."

As Adam called out a command, the Champion whipped about towards him and then looked to the pokemon, "Wait!"

The Sableye targeted by Manny yawned and floated down towards the ground, and the ghost-types' laughter suddenly stopped, their gemstone eyes trained on their fallen comrade. Slowly, eerily, they looked to the Rocket group, their toothy grins shifting into angered frowns, all their sharp, pointed teeth still just as visible.

Roman flipped his ribbons through the air, causing them to make loud cracking noises to catch the attention of the Sableye

"This looks... unfortunate," Frost said thoughtfully, quite possibly winning 'obvious statement of the hour'. It seemed that the ghosts had shifted from playfully obtuse to highly displeased. It was probably still possible to avoid a confrontation but it would be psychology that would do it if it could be done and he was no good at all at getting inside other creatures' heads.

"Oh, come now, let's not get nasty!" KO said hurriedly, waiving his hands - and the pokegear - placatingly as he took a step back. "It was just a joke, like you played a joke on him right? Come on, look, you can have the pokegear and...."

And? And what? KO fumbled in the pockets of the jacket, he'd put some of his stuff in them but he couldn't remember which ones held what. When his hand closed around something he brought it out; it was a compact mirror. Shrugging internally he flipped it open and used it to send reflected light skittering across the floor.

"And this mirror! What do you say?" Uuuurgh, they were wasting time with this diplomacy!

S h i t. That hadn't been a smart move. Swallowing, Adam held up his hands in a show of non aggression.

"Hey now. I'm just playing with you guys too. You scared me. I teased you. Prank for a prank, right? Plus it's a hypnosis. Give the little dude a shake and he'll wake right up."

Manny looked a little nervous and swirled in the air, The ghost giggled nervously.

"We can fix it," Lex said softly. "I'm sure you know about our medicines? Would it please you if we woke him up?" He asked, carefully approaching the down Sableye, holding his hands out and empty to the ghosts. "I'm sure someone has an awaken on themselves." He looked pointy at Adam.

Tambrey couldn't understand these pokémon but she didn't really need to to see the shift from prankster to malevolent entities...
"Oh frak... " She breathed, and stepped forward, palms up in what she hoped was a placating gesture "We really need to get by, please? Look," She reached up and took off her (stolen) hat to offer it along with KO's offerings.
"You can have this too if you just let us pass? We're sorry for that attack but we're just all so eager to get into the cave. You don't want your nice cave getting all messed up, by, um, Xerneas and those other humans do you? We're here to help stop that from happening..."

Clancy grumbled something inaudibly, but it was probably rude and unpleasant.
