it is not at all a first person thing.
It's round based nature doesn't mean that Roleplay cant carry over from round to round, it's just a matter of what CAN and what cant. for the mostpart, the actual outcome of rounds, such as the whole station blowing up in the case of nuclear operatives winning, for example, tend to be omitted, and the rest of the Roleplay that had occurred, such as character building, relationship forming, etc, carries over, depending on the person.
As for it's design elements, it's a sprite based top down game, in the style of old NES games in terms of implementation, except the only division between areas on a software level comes when you move from one Z level of space, such as the main station's to another, such as the mining asteroids. that's not to say that it's undetailed, however, with an absolutely HUGE amount of variation and little touches to be noticed. honestly, again, not able to do it justice, it's very well implemented, and I'd still recommend at least trying it once.
