i'm just saying i like asian food... they hav good taste., AND I SAID MIGHT... some Brazilians eat gerbils... my friend told me and i asked my grandma, and she told me in all seriousness if i wanted one. it's part of a culture, and i'm not saying anything negative.

iJhunJhun Besides, that's only if they're like really REALLY desperate for food. It's not like some exotic cuisine/delicacy or anything. Although some families would anyway, but it shouldn't apply to an entire population. Do you know how the "Filipinos eat dogs" stereotype came around? i've never heard of that stereotype

1906 World Fair in Louisianna, a tribe of Igorots from the mountains in the Philippines were brought and put on display because not many Americans knew what a Filipino was. The Igorots were very tribal people who ran around in loincloths and such. And every few hours of every day, their "handler" would give them a dog and tell them to kill it, cook it, and eat it while onlookers watched. And that's how that stupid generalization came about.

i understand how that would start a stereotype... the worlds fair was a big thing, but that was a LONG time ago.
