Aleta took careful aim, her hands glwoed brghter, gathering every photon of light she could. With one swift movement, she launched a ball of light at both, knowing it will only harm the demon.

((RAWER! Here it is. :3 Its a little violent and gory... and really reallly long. It is about the day Aleta's family was murdered. I think I described part of it previously.
The day was overcast, the sky was a steely gray with the promise of rain. A young girl about the age of 10 or 11 rode her bike down the street of a quiet rural neighborhood, humming softly. Pale blue skin and pointed ears suggested her heritage as something other than human. A messy black ponytail fluttered in the breeze behind her, her serious looking pale green eyes looked to a movement near her house. A tall figure emerged from the doorway, another elf, a Drow to be exact. This was the girl’s brother, they shared a strong resemblance aside from their hair and eye color. The wind caught his white hair, he smiled and spoke to the child, “Aleta, come here for a second before you go anywhere.” He had a mild, masculine voice. They shared the same last name of Rose.
“What do you want Ezekiel?” She was on her way to her cousin’s house, and was a little annoyed that he had stopped her, although Aleta did have a great respect for her brother, so she hit the brakes, and walked with her bicycle until she reached her brother. He laughed, “Oh, I was just going to come with you, that’s all. I want to visit family to.” He picked up the child, she giggled, he set her on his shoulders. “Ugh…You’re almost to big for this.” He started walking down the road, the orchard trees came into view, the apples were almost ready to be picked. “I am not!” She spoke with a high-pitched child’s voice, and yet her tone sounded so serious. This made her brother smile. “You’re growing up, face it! Soon you’ll be big and strong, just like me.” the young dark elf wrapped her hands around her brother’s head, and sat up further. The view from her brother’s shoulders was the best in the world in her mind. A flock of birds arose from a distant field, the sound of a tractor was heard. The wind made waves in a wheat field. It oddly macabre and depressing with the dark sky, but Aleta found it rather pretty.
Soon they had reached their destination. He put her down on the doorstep, Aleta reached up and knocked on the door with her small blue hand. A child opened the door, she was darker skinned, more of a purple than blue She had purple eyes to match, and dark black hair. “Aleta!” She hugged her cousin. “Hey Jezarah. Its nice to see you again.” Jezarah was slightly older than Aleta, about 12, but less mature, she acted her age, Aleta did not. “Come on, my mom made some treats for us, and I have all of the games set up and-” They disappeared behind the door, the elder drow’s voice was silenced when she went indoors. They played for a while, it was all pretty dull to Aleta, she asked to sparr for a while, answered by “What does that mean?”
The mood shifted when Aleta overheard Jez’s mother talking on the phone, “So they’re just driving around? How many cars? Are you sure its….them? You want Aleta to come home? Sure, I’ll drive her there.” She sounded tense and… was that fear in her voice? The girl wandered to the window to see a black car roll past. A dark grey-black hand hung out one of the windows holding a gun. Aleta gasped, she knew who they were. The Valeresso, the clan that wreaked havoc on her family for generations. Murderers and thieves they were, wealth and power that had been stolen from the Roses now belonged to them. There they were, driving around the Roses’s home turf. Most of the farms and cottages, and small businesses around the area were owned by the Roses. They were often subject to robbery. This was only the second time in her life she had seen them around., however first time she would never be able to recall for she was a newborn baby at the time. But Aleta knew. She knew the threat the posed, they were powerful, and were to be feared.
A shot rang out. A woman that had wandered outside the house across the street darted back to the safety of her home. Aleta’s aunt was startled, “I’ll call you back, and I’ll be there as soon as possible. She hung up the phone, “Aleta, get away from the widow, now!” The hand holding the gun stirred, and the man behind it aimed it at the girl. She ducked as a loud bang was heard, the glass shattered, and the woman screamed. Jezarah ran down a flight of steps leading into the living room. “-- MOM!” Aleta looked up to see her realative, blank-faced and blinking. A hole had been ripped through her chest, her clothes stained with blood. The girl got up, shakily, her mouth agape and in shock. “Auntie?”
“Run.” The woman collapsed, dead. Aleta’s cousin let out a shrill cry of anguish and sorrow, “Mother!” Jezarah knealt next to her mother’s corpse, “Mommy, don’t die, don’t die! Get up, please!” She shook her, pleading for her to live. “Its no use, she’s dead…..” Aleta began to cry as well. A few more shots were heard, Jez screamed again, and let out a wailing cry. “No, no no!” Aleta yanked the girl up from the floor, lacking gentleness. “You heard her, lets go!” She ran out the door, Jez still resisted, her hand clutched the air, as if she was still trying to hold on to her mother. She yelled at Aleta, “Aren’t you even fazed by that? You just saw somebody die, someone you knew!” sobbing. “I know, but we’ll have time to grieve later if we get out of here alive!” Aleta picked up speed, and hit the street. The car was still there, waiting. They were attacked by a barrage of bullets,. Jez let go of Aleta’s hand, and covered her ears screaming, and ran the other way. The car perused, another single gunshot rang out, and silenced Jezarah’s shrieks of terror.
Aleta didn’t dare look back. Tears flew off her face, and trailed behind her as she ran for her life. Being an elf, she was extremely quick-footed and able to surpass human limitations. She jumped over a body, another drow, an uncle of hers to be exact, his wife was dragging his body toward her house, sobbing. A trail of blood and sorrow lead her way home. Death and carnage… why? “Why are they doing this?” A whisper passed her lips. “I have to get home….” A feeling of dread washed over her. Thoughts of her family made her happy… but now, there was grief. In her heart, she knew what she would find at her house.
What her eyes beheld when she got there… she raised her hand to her mouth, stifleing a cry. Blood. On the steps, a trail of it. Then a splatter against the wall. A shape slumped against the railing of the deck. Tears blurred her vision as she approached. There lay the maimed, unrecognizable corpse of her mother, shot many times… and beheaded. She climbed the steps, and onto the deck. She looked down as she stepped in something warm and wet, a pool of blood. She began to sob heavily, she didn’t dare look at the body lying nearby. She was yanked out of the grip of sorrow by noises inside her house. Yells, a sickening ripping noise. Her father was dead now as well.
“You…. You killed my parents you basterd…. If you date touch my sister I’ll-” New hope. Aleta’s heart leaped at the sound of her brother’s voice. Maybe he can get out alive? Although, she doubted that thought. A word she had never heard before was uttered, Basterd… she repeated it to herself, innocently wondering what it meant
“You’ll what Ezekiel?” the voice was cold and thin, if a snake ever had a voice, it now belonged to this man, Zethriel. “Heh… kill me?” A figure drifted by the window, wearing a cloak. It was as if darkness itself wrapped around him, it was almost as if he was made of the very essence of shadows. She shivered at the sight. Ezzy…. Approaching the window, she saw what was going on. Her brother was suspended in the air, his arms and legs pined by some kind of force. Shadows wrapped around him, lapping at his skin as if tasting it. “I would like to see you try! And you’re not getting out alive, unless if you tell me where it is.”
She was observing this happening. Ezzy will get out…. What can I do? I’m just a kid… She accepted grimly that there was nothing she could do to prevent his possible death. All she could do was wait, and watch. “I don’t know where it is, and even if I did, I would never tell you, Zethriel.”
This made the man laugh, a chuckle “Heh heh…But what about your sister, sweet little Aleta? You’ll leave her here to fend for herself, possibly to die in my hands?” He laughed harder, “It will be so much fun to watch her die! I can see it now, those childish eyes, full of terror, her fragile body defenseless! And you won’t be there to protect her! Why don’t you just lie to me, hm?” Zethriel slumped, he knew he was defeated. “You can’t underestimate someone by their age…” He closed his eyes, his forehead wrinkled. He knew of this possible loss. Aleta was his only hope, although he knew he was going to die. He knew she must live. Somehow. He did not see her peering into the window.
“Fine. Your live is forfeit.” And with that the shadows enclosed Ezekiel, he did not cry out, he did not struggle as the shadows strangled him to death. He knew this is how it must be. He held on to the hope Aleta would live until his very last thought. He gave a final, strangled cry, last words spoken in an elven language. It seemed like a curse or a promise, although she did not understand it. Aleta stood there for a moment, accepting this awful fate of her loved ones. She began to sob again, she slid down the bloodied wall, brushing tears away that would only be replaced by new ones. Voices inside the house spoke, “What now boss?”
“We look for the girl, come on, lets go.” A shuffle of footsteps, the slamming of a back door. Aleta was crying, she stood up trembling. I have to get out of here… She jumped over the railing on the other side, not wanting to look at her mother again, and landed in the driveway.
“Hey look! It’s a little girl! Did we bring a kid with us or is that-” A big, muscular elf spoke. He was wearing a cloak as well. “Shut up, Laurent you twit!” Zethriel stepped forward, “That’s her, that’s the Rose we’re looking for!” Aleta was startled by the sound of voices. They were on her before she could pick up enough speed to get away.
“Get away from me you basterd!” She repeated the word she heard her brother say, it sounded like a nasty name to call someone, it fit him. He held her by the neck, his arm wrapped around her, and yanked her into the air, holding her to his body. She heard the click of a switchblade by her ear. Aleta kicked and struggled to no avail. The Drow was much to strong, escape was hopeless.
“Tell me where it is girl.” he whispered. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Aleta chocked. “Yes you do~ . If you’re who I think you are. Freddrick, the potion.” A vial was given to Zethriel containing a familiar metallic liquid. The one he called Freddrick yanked Aleta’s hand outward, and poured the potion on her palm. It began to glow. This particular concoction amplified one’s unnatural abilities. Aleta did not entirely grasp she had control over light yet, so she was confused. “Let me go!” She tried to bite her captor. He began to laugh, “Yes, this is the one! We knew it would be one of the Roses!” She saw the switchblade flicker, she felt the metal bite her skin, slashing her neck.
To her surprise, Zethriel released her, and she was alive, but bleeding, she landed on the pavement with a thud. Zethriel made a cross-shaped wound on her neck. She was yanked to her feet, brought face to face with the Drow, a man she now recognized as the enemy. His features were sharp and angular, his eyes large and red, his hair white and skin black as cinders. He wore a snarl, “You feel that wound, that blood dripping down your neck? I mark you as mine. I’ll kill you.”
“THEN DO IT ALL READY!” She yelled, “Do it so I can be with my brother you evil rat!” Zethriel was taken aback by this, he did not expect this from a little girl. “Heh, clearly being alive will be more torture to you than death, you Roses deserve it for turning against the old ways of life. You betray your blood, your family got what they deserved today. So I let you live. I may benefit from it in the end. You‘ll show me what I‘m looking for one day.”
Aleta felt rage like nothing she had ever felt before. She lashed out, kicking him in the stomach, he barely flinched. She was screaming, crying, words unintelligible. “Fight all you want kid, run while you can!” He pushed her down, she got back up, but Zethriel was already retreating, stepping backward, away from her. “Go on, shoo.”
Confusion and sorrow, and anger were all mixed together, tears poured from her eyes again, she couldn’t’ think of anything to say, but to scream at them, “No! I’ll kill YOU one day, you hear me! I’ll avenge them, I promise!” Zethriel replied with a simple smirk, “We’ll see about that girl.”
Aleta turned and ran, going faster and faster, she couldn not be seen clearly, she was a blurr running through the farm fields toward Duram. That day she promised to protect her family’s name. That day she promised she’ll fight for the greater good, for the world. And to avenge all she had lost.

The two looked at eachother "Demon?" "Flowers?!" Both were flung back by the attack from Aleta, knocking agianst a wall "KYA!" They yelled in unison. Landing on the ground, they both looked at Duri with a pleading look while one spoke "Duri, why are you letting them hurt me?"

Light was supposed to harm only the demon, Aleta was surprised to find that niether were damaged from the light itself, but they were flung backward. "Damn it!" That strategy wasn't working, and she was getting frustrated.
Rafeal had blacked out from all the pain, but went unoticed. Freezing to death was one of the worst ways to die. Aleta's mind went to him, she gave up on the demoness and let Kagura deal with her as she checked on her mate.
((It took me all day to write that. -_- I've also been here posting a the same time. That is the most I've written since school was over.))

((Got dragged away to a fair I didn't want to go to. =_= But on the bright side, I tried freerunning. And got a statue of a dragon riding a motorcycle! =_= Mine could've been shorter than five paragraphs, but I like build up. Otherwise it wouldn't have been that long. Hey, Ele that was really good ^_^ You're right, you do have a great vocabulary. -typed mine in my journal.. Probably a bad idea, but it turned out fine I guess.-))
Duri crossed his arms, he went over and picked up Kagura. "What do you want?" She asked, "Which one's which?" He said bluntly. "I don't even wanna be here..I have things to do you know, you can't say please?" "Ok, please tell me which one's which.." "That one's miss June, the other's miss Alice!" She pointed at them in the order she mentioned them "Thank you," Duri nodded, then pulled out his gun again. "June, could you move away from Alice for a sec?"

The one Kagura pointed out to be Alice spoke, "Why would I do that?" Then the other, "oh, right! WE never told him!" Both laughed a little before getting to their feet "Do you really want to kill me?" one asked. The other tilted her head "Because if you shoot the correct one, June is immediately weakened in terms of angelic ability...." They smiled sweetly "But if you shoot the wrong one, you're stuck with a lifeless angel and a demon ring-master."

Duri held his head confused. "Goddammit.... Kagura, are you completely sure..." "Yup!" "Honestly.. I'm not trusting you so much anymore..." He sighed, dropping the girl. "Can we do this fight some other day.. I'm really not in the mood for this.." Kagura crossed her arms, pouting and walkked out the door. "Key? Where are you?"

Rafeal lay on the pavement, shivering. Aleta picked him up, his skin was cold and firm, ice clung ot his flesh. It was recedeing, Alice was distracted. "You know, I'm built to kill demons, I posess control over thier weakness and I'm fast. Is she to powerful to kill or what?" Aleta ddin't want to fight either, even though she felt like it, she had to take care of her mate. If she hadn't been carrying Kagura, she would've lashed out at Kyra.

Duri half shut his eyes, hunching over slightly. "I thought you two hated eachother.. Now I'm kinda thinking this is some sick joke... Or a dream. Besides, I've got other things to take care of other than deal with you.." He pointed at one. "Uhh... Or you.. I'm not sure which one's Alice... Kagura!?" "Deal with it yourself!" She called from outside.
