officer shadow its kind of odd for me to see someone that LIKES WILL FERRELL WHEN HE PORTRAY'S FRANZ LIEBCANT now IF you excuse me im going off to do the "Gutentag hap-glap" First off, I don't care what you think, Shadow. My preferences for actors' roles doesn't have to conform to your petty expectations. Where do you think you're getting off, trying to pick a fight with someone over their signature of all thingsby the way? IF you'll excuse ME- I believe it's pronounced "Hop-clop" and "Leibkind". If you're going to try to pick a fight, be a little more mature about it. [/end] Moving on to a another topic- This whole Wii and PS3 craze has me confused...I haven't seen a single console of the sort, but yet the local game store is loading up on Wii games out the whazoo and has been since the Wii's release. And not to mention the LoZ:TP port to Gamecube... it doesn't seem to exist in this end of the country. I'd go on some whacked-out conspiracy theory that the Wii's and PS3's don't exist if people weren't buying them and selling them for 5k on Ebay. Which they are, last I heard. ninja

(( im not trying to pick A fight, its a bloody funny movie, I actually find it awsome that somoeone else likes that movie))
The PS3 SUCKS, the first shipement is putting it down into disgrace then what the "Creators" had posted about it. but its way to pricey then when the PS2 came out, its about 300$ more then when the PS2 came out, but "they" are saying that the later versions of the PS3 will be in HD and easier to purchase.... I dont think that..... its not going to be popular like the one before it, but the WII on the other hand is very succesful, and for all the couch potatoes out there will be having some excercies when playing the games, for you actually have to "Be Active" instead of sitting on the coach playing games with a contoller, instead of the new interactive ones.

It's couch.
In any case, the Wii had a good release, but after Zelda, its populatiry will die down. Besides, the only thing the Wii got going for it is the wiimote, and eventually, people will get tired of it, and want to just sit around and play games with the good ol' controller. Now, even though you CAN do that on the Wii, it'll rid Wii of its main gimmick, and therefore, the Wii will have no appeal whatsoever. The PS3 on the other hand, had a rough release, however, PS2 had a crappy release as well, and its first year wasn't very good either. The PS3 has great potential and there's a chance it'll dominate the new generation. However, if it doesn't, it'll be because of Xbox 360. So in the end, it's either gonna be the PS3 or the 360, but the Wii will not dominate in the long run.

Oh, well then I must apologize. When people type in all caps at me I usually get pissy and take to the defensive.
I heard the PS3 sucked simply because Sony overplayed the hype of it and let information leak a few years back while the PS2 was still a big blocky console. But then again I have friends with strong Nintendo and X-box fan-tendancies. Personally, I'm not getting either until they's about 200 dollars cheaper, cutting edge or not. I'll stick with my 'Cube and PS2 for many more years if I have to. xd

Well since when was a console's games at their full potential during the console's launch? I mean, back when the PS1 came out, we had games like Alone in the Dark and Tekken and let's face it, they weren't nearly at PSX's full potential. Then eventually games like Resident Evils, and your Final Fantasies used PSX's full hardware potential. It'll be the same with every console, including the PS3. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are pretty amazing already. But the best is yet to come.

It'll be another year before I agonize over which console to finally buy, but until Sony completely pisses off Capcom and Konami and they move thir games elsewhere permanently, I willl stick with my PS2 or 3( unglitched in the future ). PLus then you see which games are actually out, I still haven't bought a 360 and I love all their shooter games, Halo, Gears Of War, Resistance.... I'm a Microsoft girl too. And Nintendo, I still love my Gameboys. ( Has owned and pwned them all )

Biohazard EXTREME In any case, the Wii had a good release, but after Zelda, its populatiry will die down. Besides, the only thing the Wii got going for it is the wiimote, and eventually, people will get tired of it, and want to just sit around and play games with the good ol' controller. So in the end, it's either gonna be the PS3 or the 360, but the Wii will not dominate in the long run. Bio, Bio, Bio.. I doubt its popularity will die down after Zelda. Just like the PS3, the Wii has potential. The best is yet to come. Sure, PS3 is gonna have RE5, MGS4, and other goodies, but that doesn't mean the Wii isn't gonna bring us some kickass stuff. RE: Umbrella Chronicles, Fire Emblem, Metroid Prime 3, and more. And the people who would want to buy the Wii and then get tired of the Wiimote.. are just stupid. xd Don't get me wrong, I love the Wii Shop Channel and GC backwards-compatible, I use them both (actually, dad's internet is security locked, can't get the Wii Shop Channel x_X). Just.. if you didn't buy the Wii to play mainly Wii games, that's sad. Yeah, I agree. The Wii probably won't dominate in the long run. But I'd much rather swing my arms around with WarioWare and go crazy in Red Steel than look at pretty graphics. Sure, RE5's gonna be sweet as hell, and Resistance is an awesome game, but those are the only two games I find appealing in the future (seeing as how I haven't played an MGS game >_>; ). I'm not willing to spend 600 simoleans for two games. And come to think of it.. I think the Wii actually does have just as much a fair chance as the 360 or PS3. And even if it doesn't, Miyamoto already said that the Wii wasn't really in competition with the PS3 or 360, so.. that's all I have to say. [/rant]

I'm not saying the Wii won't be successful there's a chance it won't, and there's a chance it will. I'm just saying that a good or a bad launch doesn't predict the future.

That's what pyschics are for. Oh so that's what platform Resistance is for, I couldn't find any copies at all, now I know. Edit : I was thinking of Lost Planet, not Resistance for the XBox.

Ok my turn... Biohazard EXTREME I'm not saying the Wii won't be successful there's a chance it won't, and there's a chance it will. I'm just saying that a good or a bad launch doesn't predict the future. That's very true, who knows what'll happen, I mean any of them could fail really, no one can predict what will happen. In my own opinion I believe it all comes down to the target audience really, and keeping their appeal. For the Wii I think it would be stupid now for Nintendo to start releasing only one player games as most families that have brought the Wii will be left out. This doesn't seem to be happening anyway as lot's should be coming out. Stuff like Wii Brain Training and Super Smash Bros. Brawl which I can't wait for. xd Again as a contridiction I want these titles like Metroid Prime 3, RE:UC and Super Mario Galaxy for one player. So right now it seems their audience is intact as well as the 'classic' gamers as I call them. As far as I know right now Sony however are solely concentrating on one player games which suit it's target audience. The eventuality though is that they aren't really branching out to make it an applicable console for everyone, that coupled with the price means that I think they will have a hard time in the future. Not saying it won't be successful, just that I think it won't dominate. In reality as much as I hate to admit it, the Xbox 360 seems to be doing ok right now and I haven't seen any interest diminishing, personally I don't like the 360 but I think it's got a strong chance of coming out on top. Again back to my Nintendo fanboyness. [fanboyrant] The Wii has broke sales records. In it's first weekend it sold 105,000 in the UK, in comparison to the 70,000 360's sold on it's first weekend over here. (Unfortunately we still don't have the PS3 so I can't make a comparison on that.) In it's first 12 hours it sold over 50,000 units, and was sold out in three days having sold over 325,000 consoles. Not to mention over a 600000 units sold in the US on it's first weekend and 400,000 in Japan on it's first day. So Nintendo must be doing something right. As for the Wiimote, it's not jst a gimmick. It has so many uses on the console, first there's games for one, it makes a great mouse online and there is speculation that it will be able to attatch to the virtual console controller in future for new ways to play games. I should think playing games the old way but with added motion sensing. So excited! Thus ends my crazy fanboyness rant! [/fanboyrant] Ok back to other things for a second, I saw the remake of Dawn of the Dead last night. I found it was a good zombie movie in itself, the bloody fast zombies freaked me out. Like 28 Days later but with actual zombies. I do think though that as they decomposed they should have gotten slower. It did have a few stupid parts though. (i.e. Fast fatty zombie and baby zombie). Overall I liked it though.
