Zombies that are decomposing while in motion, feasting on the flesh of living freshly killed victims, animals with flesh torn open from acceleration virus-induced muscle growth, tall humanoids that can sprout claws and additional appendages and entirely new forms depending on how much lead is pumped into them and last but not least, the lovely ability to blow off heads, torsos and legs out from under said zombies while larger creatures can easily gut and decapitate you... no, not enough gore for my standards.

Then why do companies make toys for PG-13 movie franchises like Batman and Ironman if the children that will want them are 4-9 year olds? Back in the day they were moderately kid-friendly sure, but now not so much.

Does it make you a n00b if you think that a single bullet should be enough to penetrate a zombies skull?
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2008 8:51 am
Well, still, PG-13 might not be KIDDIE, but you can still see it as a little kid, if you have an adult present. I mean, I personally don't think that a movie like Transformers is too violent or anything.
But Resident Evil has swearing, blood and gore, and in the case of RE movies, you can see Milla Jovovich's boobs in every one of them.

And no. If a bullet can penetrate a human skull... Zombies are still human.

Does it make you a noob if you don't know the difference between a 9mm bullet and a .44 bullet?

No, it just makes you incompetent with guns and that person has to deal with just using the knife/bat/pipe for the rest of the zombie-pocalypse until enough of a rest is taken that others can teach him/her. Also, 9mm is the standard for police enforcement usually, wouldn't .44 indicate a damned handcannon!? Shoot, at close enough distance a .22LR will penetrate into a human skull.

Does it make you a n00b if you think that the Flame Thrower is a weapon that should have never been retired from the U.S. Military?
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2008 9:26 am
Well, a .44 is powerful, but please don't say Handcannon, it reminds me of the ever horrible weapon in RE4.

And... No, because when terrorists attack us with biological warfare, what's gonna kill the plague if not good ol' fashioned fire?

Does it make you a noob if you think the STARS vests are bullet proof?

No. Read also: Rebecca in the labs. Although Enrico's wasn't. Huh, weird.

Does it make you a noob if you wish Capcom would make a REmake 2 (REmake of RE2), but using only RE4's camera angle (and still keeping the lack of ammo, crazy scares, etc.)?
PostPosted: Mon Jun 30, 2008 9:40 am
Well, Rebecca wasn't wearing a STARS vest. She was wearing a Kevlar Vest, which didn't have a STARS logo on it or anything, so, that wasn't technically a STARS vest. And no, STARS vests aren't bullet proof.

Yes. Yes it does. If RE2 is to be remade, it's to be remade just like the first remake. Camera angles all the way. None of that over the shoulder bullcrap.

Does it make you a noob if you wish that unreleased Laser cannon from the REmake made it into the game?

No, but wouldn't they have been, though? Aside from Enrico, nothing says otherwise. Bullet proof vests are made of woven kevlar and made to withstand low-medium caliber rifle and handgun rounds, so unless the shooter was Barry with his high-power handgun, Enrico's vest should have withstood that round. Although the penetrating damage would be avoided, the bullet with still impact with a force that could do some blunt trauma damage if vital spots were targeted. Plus the vests wouldn't protect from stabbing damage, due to the vests being designed to stop probably light to medium knife strikes, but because of the power of creatures like the Crimson Head, Yawn, Hunter, Neptune, Chimera and Tyrant, any hopes of the vest working are for naught. So the only difference the vest would have made at any point in the game would be in Enrico's case.

No, more serious games need silly futuristic weaponry in them just for fun.

Does it make you a n00b if you use the usually accepted nickname for a magnum even before RE4 was conceived? Otherwise known as "the handcannon"?

No. As long as you don't mean the RE4 weapon, you're in the clear.

Does it make you a noob if you think there's at least some hope for Degeneration to be a decent movie?

No, but having "some" hope is still going a LO-NG way...

My previous Noob question remains...

Well, there's nothing anywhere that says that the STARS vests are made of any kind of Kevlar. They're tactical vests. That's all there is to it. There's no bullet proof quality to them.
The only reason Rebecca had a bullet proof vest is because she was a medic. And as such, she'd need the most defense, if she was to be patching up wounded people. But there's no indication of any kind that STARS vests are bullet proof, and Enrico's vest only proves that they aren't.

And umm... I'll have to say yes. Guns shouldn't have stupid titles. Nicknames like, "Matilda" are okay, if the gun has sentimental value. But handcannon, punisher, all those crap names shouldn't be used.

To Canas: Doesn't make you a noob, but you'll only be disappointed. But then again... You actually liked Advent Children, didn't you? So who knows.

Does it make you a noob if you can't name all the STARS members on the following picture (without cheating of course):

Oh cool, awesome, thought you were talking about the Laser weapon in REmake... lol ^_^;

No, it just means you aren't as much of an RE nerd as other people in this Guild...

Does it make you a n00b if you think the outbreak could have EASILY been eradicated with liberal use of flame throwers?

No, it just means you're unsure of who's who from the picture. If you know the names, that's good enough.

And Vinessa, yes. Such a widespread disaster couldn't be stopped by flamethrowers. And Nemesis would just laugh.

Does it make you a noob if you follow the book of RE1 (The Umbrella Conspiracy) and say that Jill was a thief before she joined S.T.A.R.S.?

No, nobody's origins have really been looked into (I don't think) so it is okay to speculate...

Does it make you a n00b if you can't keep up with the current N00b question posed on the boards!?

Umm, Jill was in Delta Force, it's official. It says so in the REmake booklet a well as RE Archives, so her history HAS been looked into.

And yes, because Raccoon city might not have been a metropolis, but it was still a fairly big city, which means you'd have to go into every home and make sure that you check literally EVERYTHING, which would require immense amounts of man power, and a LOT of flamethrowers. It's impractical.

Does it make you a noob if you think that EVERY lock should be unlockable with a lockpick?
