I would think it depends. I mean how long running has the show been? When was it developed and such.
I mean if it's less then 20 eps long, I doubt you'd see much improvement. I think it depends more on how far away certain technological advances have been in the series. I don't often times see it myself.

Well compare the first episodes of DBZ with the later, and now compare the later eps with the animated game sequences and specials. It isn't just anime its american shows as well. Look at the first ep of family guy, and look at the latest ep. Even American dad in its short run is different from when it first came about. now in Bible black, they had a very weird chance for the animation between the second ep and episodes after. I could explain but the TOS lol (post# 159 Croconaw i just had a weird deja vu)

Well, if a show goes on with popularity it gets more funding...DBZ probably helped fund the entire studio. American shows like the Simpsons are no different, once better equipment and the funds are available to buy them...well why not do so. It shows that they have a commitment to the quality of show they produce, that it's more than a job smile #147

Like how Vegeta first sounded when Christopher R. Sabat took over compared to how Vegeta sounded towards the end of DBZ and in GT. (post#189: Jumpluff)

Sometimes it's hard to keep a voice cast for a long show like that, especially when production takes a long break like with DBZ. The 3rd season of Yamato (Starblazers) is the same way, in the gap between series they lost some of the main voices and had to re-cast since those people were unavailable...many voice actors aren't just in the voiceover biz so scheduling conflicts often occurred. It is nice when they can keep the same voices for things, like Lucky star had voice actors from other shows and referred to that as an inside joke...when dubbing here they got the same english voices that had dubbed the parts over here which was awesome XD#185

Krillin and King Kai also sounded F'd up at first. They fixed Krillin in the uncut remastered dvds' but left King kai lol (post#226: Mantine)

His accent got quite thick between 2 episodes, enough that he was offscreen talking and I thought a new character was showing up. #287

Ginyu originally sounded like Frieza's Father King Cold. (old King Cold was a marry old soul, and a marry old soul was he because he was smoking crack lol) (post#311: Plusle)

True, there was a drastic sound difference...such things happen when you fall behind translating and dubbing a show. people gotta work, after all. #305

Then Funimation decided to get the job done and keep all the money. The rights Pioneer had didn't run out until 2003. (post#329: Vibrava)
