Sojiro
Having left the girl, Anika, to think on the decision at hand, Sojiro decided that it would be best to wait at the village gates. That way, if she tried to leave, and if anyone attempted to stop her, Sojiro would be one to step in and escort the young miss away. Sojiro leaned his back against the side of the gate, awaiting the girl's presence. She would tell him either yay or ney, then he would be on his way. To be honest, the bamboo elementalist wasn't in the slightest mood to deal with any trouble, so any annoyance would be met with a swift bamboo stalk to the esophogas.

Anika looked for a bit, but gave up on finding him quickly. So, she set out for her house to see what her parents would say about this. Even if they never seemed to acknowledge her presence she was still their child. Which in essence meant she was obligated to tell them. Of course, when she got there and tried to talk to them she was rudely interrupted by her little sister. Furious about this she stormed up to her grab, threw what she needed into, and left out her window without so much as a note. That would teach them to stop ignoring.
Now there she stood staring at the gate. She still stood in front of her house. Gulping she looked to the little dragon whom she named, Momo. He simply looked at her before looking at the gate. Heaving a sigh she made her way to the gate. When she got there Sojiro was there already, which shocked her as she hadn't expected him to actually be there. "Sojiro, I've made my decision, and I'm going to go with you."

Sojiro
Hearing the sound of approaching footsteps, Sojiro's rigid stance loosened, and he turned to his right. In the slightest manner possible, he bowed to Anika upon her appearance. When she said her decision was made, Sojiro nodded, not offering vocal recognition. A mere movement of his head signaled that it was okay for her to speak. Once her mind had been spoken, the young male smiled softly. Uncrossing his arms, Sojiro extended his right hand to her, palm up. His fingers were less than a centimeter apart from each other, the inviting gesture obviously desiring a response. "Then it is settled. Please, come with me." Sojiro's voice was light, but it did not waver in Anika's presence. In that tiny frame, Sojiro's status commanded respect, and he held a hint of power behind his soft face.

For a moment she was a bit hesitant. Looking back towards the village she knew she really had nothing here to live for, no purpose. And wasn't that what everyone's one true goal in life was, to find their purpose? Well, Anika was going to find her purpose as a ninja and it wasn't going to be here. Turning to look back at Sojiro she had a more confident outlook on the situation at hand. "Don't expect my immediate trust. I'm still slightly weary of this and you. Don't think I'm going because you say I'm some how important. I'm going because I need to find my purpose as a ninja, and I won't find it here." Taking a deep breath she started walking ahead stopping only a few feet away from him and turning back to him. Now she had a smile on her lips. No, she wasn't bipolar, she just needed to get that out of the way. "Coming? After all, you know where we're going."

Anika was truly an interesting person. She was smart to not accept Sojiro so easily. He honestly didn't expect this kind of reaction, but her wary nature was a good sign. She would be a fine kunoichi. All that mattered to her was finding out how she could do that, and Sojiro was fully ready to oblige in helping her. It was as the two were about to set off, a figure dropped down behind them, causing the bamboo elementalist to halt his leave from this place. With the same warm smile as always, he turned around to face Nayely.
A slight laugh escaped Sojiro's throat as he pursed his lips. "A face and a voice I didn't expect to see anytime soon, yet here you stand. Ah, the gods have blessed us with your presence, my dear Amekage." Sojiro bowed deeply, his arms suddenly stretched out as if welcoming guests to a massive ball. "Deserter? Grass? Oh my, such intense accusations. I am merely taking Anika to a place where she may acquire greater skill in the shinobi arts. More specifically, to Mikyo's farm." At that, Sojiro rose from his bow and clapped lightly. "So you see, there really is no reason to think that this girl is deserting you in any way. I promise I will bring her back, and this will always be her home and place of birth. Mikyo and I will take care of her. As far as the reasoning behind me taking her, I can't reveal too much, you understand? Information is a valuable piece, and one must hold as many cards as one can." Sojiro felt a ping of remorse, suddenly, and he bowed again to the Amekage. "But miss, please excuse me. I assure you, Mikyo and I have already discussed this, and we have the best intentions for this one." He motioned to Anika with his open hand.
Sojiro noticed that something was welling up inside Nayely's throat, and although he had a good idea of what it might be, he sincerely hoped that a confrontation could be avoided. The young man already came close to killing two Rain shinobi in the past 24 hours, and he desired nothing less than killing or injuring their leader. In fact, Sojiro knew that a skirmish was likely when coming here, so he was prepared to fight at any moment. Still, he hoped against a fight, but the Amekage was known for being particularly... Hot-headed... She might have that calm aura about her, but anyone who wasn't alert would be feeling the fiery sting of a kage scorned.

Sojiro
Sojiro was very still, listening to Nayely's accusation lean somewhere in the right direction. He was silent, even as the woman got close to him. No sooner had she placed her hand on the back of his head and pulled him forward, that his emotions finally came into play. Sojiro was usually a very kind and chivalrous person, but once someone tried to toy with his emotions, s**t would get real, and fast.
Instead of planting her lips on his, Sojiro turned his head far enough to where the Amekage would be kissing him on the cheek instead. She may of had a gentle hold on the back of his head, but he would not allow her to manipulate him so easily. "Please... Do not... Do that..." His eyes would be darkened as he lowered his gaze to the floor. His eyes were shadowed by the hair that fell over his face. In a moment, Sojiro's smile had vanished and he had become void of joy. "You may have stolen Mikyo's lips at one point, but mine will not succumb to the same embrace. Please... Do not toy with my emotions." Very suddenly, Sojiro became rough, shoving the Amekage away with both hands. Once he had pushed her away, his eyes appeared once again, seemingly enraged at her sudden attempt at a kiss.
The poisonous kiss had not been noticed, since it's effects had not been meant for bare skin contact, but rather ingestion. Sojiro was suddenly pissed, his hands clenched in fists of anger. "You think you're the only one to lose loved ones? How many times must I repeat these names aloud?! Zonko, Istavan, Ruhler, all loved, all lost. I will not be lost by your whiles, succubi..." Taking a glance over at Anika, Sojiro could see that she was worried. This situation had gone from bad to worse, in no time flat. "Your offense here has waranted more than you realize, milady. I will take care of her, but for your act of indecency, Anika will remain in mine and Mikyo's charge. Farewell." At that, Sojiro released his clenched hands, and turned to Anika. He walked up next to her, and gently placed his hand on her shoulder, urging her to move forward. He did turn his back on the Amekage, but he was too furious to care at the moment. If she did anything to try and stop him, a fight would definitely ensue.

After everything that happened, she only smiled which was followed by a laugh. "Such a child...to keep them in mind, they only fuel to your rage, your life will be better if you forget about them, nothing is going to change...but a person like me can change things like that through medical jutsu..." She then walked back towards the village, but stopped, she made a hang sign, which she manipulated the rain, causing it to be violent, striking against the two. "Think about it...Sojiro...what would happen if Mikyo were to die?" She said with a smile, hoping to tempt him to stop and listen to what she had to say. |

The young man continued to urge Anika to walk forward, talking as he himself moved. "The same could be said of yourself, Lady Amekage. Do not bring up your own horrid past if you aren't prepared to listen to mine." He didn't face her as he began to leave with Anika. He ignored her speech until she caused a torrent of rain to pick up, pelting both of them. She's doing this for a reason, Sojiro. Keep walking. Sojiro was convinced that standing here and talking to Nayely was fruitless, so he pressed forward, up until a name was mentioned. When the threat had been laid out, Sojiro halted his steps, then turned around to face the Amekage as she walked off herself.
"Mikyo cannot die. If you call what has happened to him in the past as 'death', then he has been reborn a hundred times over. No threat you voice can harm the Metal Demigod." For some reason, Sojiro didn't turn around and continue walking. Honestly, his curiousity was piqued. No, what could she do to Mikyo? What could anyone do?
