The Safehouse {private}

"alright." Knightly smiled softly as he walked beside her, holding her hand in his.  

[Mayah Playah]

Ailey slowly, but surely made her way down the hall, concentrating on not falling. Her legs shook and her head swam, but she carried on, refusing to let go of her control. She didn't even let her grip on Knightly hand tighten.

Knightly gave a small smile as he continued to walk beside her, keeping an eye on her just in case she lost her control.

Suddenly, her legs finally gave out and Ailey cried out as she crashed to the floor. With her legs folded underneath her, she bowed her head, her lips quivering. "Damn it," she whispered.

Knightly gave a small sigh as he caught her just before she hit the floor. "you alright?" he asked, carefully picking her up in his arms. "c'mon.. don't let it get you down... " he mumbled, hugging her softly.

She buried her face in his neck, trying to keep herself from crying. "I hate this. I'm tired of being helpless and dependent. That's not me!"

Knightly held her close as he continued to the kitchen. "don't worry... its not gonna be like this forever." he smiled softly and kissed the top of her head. "i know you can handle yourself... but there are times when even the strongest of people need to lean on someone... so i'm gonna be here for you always... to be that person you can lean on."

She leaned up and kissed his cheek, snuggling into his chest. "I love you," she whispered.

' i love you too" he smiled at her, kissing her softly.

Ailey grinned, pushing the kitchen door open with her foot. "Are you sure about that?"

"yes." he smiled at her, holding her closer.

"How sure?" she asked, her forehead touching his.

"completely sure." he grinned,moving his chin just a bit so that their lips were almost touching.

Her grin faded into a soft smile, and her black eyes stared into his. "Then kiss me already."

knightly didn't hesitate to kiss her as he slipped into the kitchen, setting her lightly on the edge of the counter without breaking the kiss.
