James Taggart "I know. Miss Fagan." James said. "But that is so that he has a place to stay instead of her all the time." He took the cigarette and lit it. "A bit of both. Social on the fact that we are now.... friends. With business being delivered to Brian as we speak." He took a long drag from his cigarette. He smiled a bit. "As for Brian he oddly likes the basement and calls it his maze. I guess that happens when you read a great deal."

Egan O'Connor "Very well, you may look for your friend if you dare brave his labyrinth. As to us being friends, I would say that has yet to be proved but we are business partners. And did your friend tell you I was looking for soldiers?" Egan added, they had taken some turf back from the German's in the docks but he would need more men if they were to hold.

James Taggart "I know. My men are your men." James said. He had many resources to pull from. "I'm into everything up in Canada. Thinking of running for parlement. But a few deals and you got an army. Men in Canada want a few things. Mostly hunting all year round. I'm over the permit building." He knew what he was saying was worthless to a degree. "A few interviews and deals. You got a ton of sharpshooters." He grabbed his pistol off the table. "I get complements at meetings for this. Some might do it just for a custome gun from Brian."

Egan O'Connor "I fought in the great war boy, I know that weapons alone will not win it for you." Egan said somberly. Politics looks like Canada was every bit as corrupt as his fine city if they boy was heading into government.

James Taggart "I know. Brian told me many things." James said with a sigh. "You have my men and most men in Canada. Guns are no good without men behind them. But men will work for guns." James put his cigarette out. He smiled a crooked smile. "My influence isn't shallow."

Egan O'Connor Egan relaxed back in his chair. "That is good to hear my boy, because very soon there will be a real war in these streets. then I will need men, men who can follow orders and stand up against tough odds. I pray you and your men are all you have said they are." His tones was somber and very serious. He was still straight faced when he asked another question. "Will you bee needing a place to stay or will you also be bunking up with Miss Shay?" In these easy times the formality of marriage was often tossed out, he doubted that Brain was 'only sleeping' there. However if it was out of convenience as James said it was perhaps she would take another lodger. If not the Agincourt had other rooms available, it always had rooms available.

James Taggart "I would stay. But I must go and get the last of those men. Most soldiers, others just hunters." James said being serious. "But I leave my men that I came with her. They have a boat at the docks they stay in." He stood up and smiled. "And if it as big as I have been told more men is what you need. I will try to get a room at the hotel. Till then I leave you with those gifts of arms and booze." He was about to leave but turned around real quick. "I do hope this means we are more than business partners."

Egan O'Connor Egan smirked "Slain abhile" when he spoke he then gave a big grin. This man was most useful and 'friends' were hard to come by in these times. It would seem there was to be a very profitable relationship here. "Oh, and before you go what's the boats name and where exactly is it moored."

James Taggart "Ah yes. She is named the Phantom." James said. He smiled. "Won the boat from some crazy German engineer. He wanted to make it so a U-boat could hook on it." He laughed at that thought. "They guy was a nut."

Egan O'Connor "from my time in Europe boy, I can assure you all Germans are nuts. They do not think like the rest of the world. mostly for the worse unfortunately, after all can you think of an invention they have made that is not used for war and conquest?" He spoke coldly and matter of factly. "I will see your men are accommodated and made familiar with the powers that be, and the do's and don'ts of the game. I do not waste men needlessly."

James Taggart "Very correct." James said. Tossed a gold coin to Egan. "My lucky coin. Don't cash it in. I'll want it back when it is over." He smiled and was about to leave. "Some of my like to try this diving thing. If they find something that means nothing to you. Let them keep it." He left the office and started to head towards the front. He took in one last breath of the club and left.

Egan O'Connor A strange man he thought to himself as he looked at the coin the tossed it into the top drawer of his desk. He was defiantly brazen and bold, but he also seemed to have his wits. He would be needing both if he wanted to survive this city. Soon Egan planned to take some men down to the docks and go speak with Taggarts boys. A boat named the Phantom he had said, easy enough to find when the harbor master was on his pay roll.....

Brian O'CallighanBrian went up stairs. Spotting men he did some business in Canada gave him some hope. He didn't see James and knocked on his bosses door. Brian entered into O'Connor's office. "Boss some of James' men are unloading some trucks and others are heading to this called 'The Phantom'. What should I tell them?"

Egan O'Connor Egan looked over his ledger and smiled things were looking up. The Irish were doing well and they were going to need the money to hire added strength. He did not trust the Germans or the Spanish at all. There may be a truce but that meant nothing people were still looking for a way to get the upper hand.

Brian O'Callighan Brian went up stairs. Walking down the hall, knocking on the door. "Boss... you in?" Standing there he thought about what he was going to ask. With more men he had less room. He was going to ask about a loan to get a place to work from. Space was needed for weapons and he was running out, fast. Waiting he hummed a bit.
